Hi, I'm Teeny.
People tend to have the same reaction when they meet me: "Oh my god, you're the best." I hear it a lot. I can't help it ... I was just built for cuddles.
My days run on a pretty simple loop: wake up, zoom around like the floor is lava, play-fight with whatever's nearby, and then — without warning — I go full lap-cuddle mode and pass out. Any excuse to cuddle, I'll take it. It's kind of my whole personality. I'm also famous for sleeping flat on my back, feet and toes pointing straight up in the air; very dignified. :)
If you really want to win me over, there's a foolproof method: belly rubs, and a scratch just underneath my collar. Do both and I am yours for life.
I recently said goodbye to my foster sister when she got adopted, and I've handled it like a champ — mostly by eating more (my sister wad a hog), which my foster mom is very supportive of. I'm a bit of a grazer, so she keeps food out for me. I especially love eating from a palm or scattered across the floor or with my new puzzle feeder - makes mealtime feel like a game.
I'm teething right now, so fingers and toes sometimes look like chew toys to me. But hand me an actual chew toy and I'll happily redirect, no hard feelings.
I'm great with new people, even strangers who've woken me up mid-nap (rude, but I forgive them). I haven't had all my vaccines yet, so I can't go on big walks, but I love riding along in my bag to watch the world go by - I've been very well-behaved around kids and other dogs.
At night, I know the drill: into my crate, out to my pen if I need my pee pad. I'm proud to say I always find my way to the pad, even mid-play in the living room. And if nobody disturbs me or walks past my crate, I'll sleep quietly from 10pm right through to 5am - I just need my peace and quiet.
Show me a treat and I'll sit before you even ask... I just know. I'm also learning to use my voice more these days — sometimes a little growl slips out while I figure out what it means. No malice, just exploring. I'm also very clear when I need water or a bathroom break; I'll let you know.
I'm still figuring some things out, but I'm loving, I'm learning, and I've got a lot of love to give whoever's lucky enough to give me my forever home.
