This beauty can be a bit shy and is looking for a calm, indoor environment where she can feel safe and secure. Caring for a Persian cat requires special attention to their unique needs, particularly regarding grooming and environmental considerations. Due to their long, luxurious fur, regular grooming is essential to prevent mats and tangles, while also minimizing the risk of hairballs. Persian cats are prone to eye discharge due to their facial structure, so it's important to gently clean their eyes daily to prevent staining and potential irritation. Additionally, their flat faces can lead to respiratory issues, so it's crucial to keep their living environment clean and free from irritants like dust and smoke. Diet is another vital aspect of Persian cat care. Providing high-quality cat food, preferably formulated for long-haired breeds, helps maintain their coat's health and overall well-being. Please meet Sir Wesley Weeberry. You may ask why such a silly name? Well just look at his face. He needed a very unique name to match his unique looks and personality. Wesley was found wandering in a neighborhood, going from house to house looking for food. He was very friendly but he was terribly matted. Anyone that knows about Persians understands that a day without some personal hygiene is all it takes to start looking pretty shabby. The neighbors decided that he must have been abandoned because of his condition and his wonderful personality and took him to the shelter for some much needed grooming. There he was given a full check-up and a lion cut shave. Purebreds Plus rescue stepped up and we took in this wonderful little guy and we are so happy that we did. He is an absolute love! He will lay in your lap forever and will fall asleep while you pet him, purring away so content. He likes kisses on that cute little face but prefers not to have his belly rubbed. He will follow his human everywhere, probably hoping for a treat. He loves treats! At first he wasn’t very playful but now that he is comfortable with his new environment he is a total player. He loves to toss the furry mice into the air and casually drop them in his water bowl. He loves the kick stick and he will grab it and beat it up really good. Foster mom has a small dog that Wesley is curious about but not aggressive in any way. We’re not sure about other cats but through his window to the outside world he has seen other cats and he acts like he is interested in them, never growling or hissing at all. With the proper introduction he would probably do fine, his personality is so gentle we want to believe that he would be fine and might even enjoy the company. He never wants to be left behind but he doesn’t seem stressed when left alone. Sir Wesley Weeberry is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. He currently lives with his foster family in West Sacramento. This is a courtesy post Meet Olive. She is a beautiful, female Calico Persian cat with lovely amber eyes. She is estimated to be around 3 years old. Olive is a feisty kitty that loves to play, but after she’s done she will want to cuddle up next to you on the couch, maybe even in your lap. She is vocal about being fed on time, and she is on a prescription wet food diet for some tummy issues. She enjoys being brushed around her neck and her back, but is unsure about her tail or behind being brushed, so taking her to a groomer is a must. Her eyes need to be cleaned out daily. Olive needs to be in a home as an only pet without children. She would love someone to spoil her rotten as their only baby. She came from the shelter, but unfortunately she does not get along with the other cat in the family and that's why she needs to be re homed Please email us for more information and inquiries. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same cat or kitten at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. She gets along with other cats and dogs and she loves to be wherever the people are. She loves to play with her laser light toy and is very low maintenance except for always wanting to be brushed.
