Story

Sam is a beautiful 5 year old, 70lb, Pointer mix! He loves cuddles and kisses, car rides and walks! He would be a great active companion and would absolutely thrive from some more mental and physical stimulation! He is dog selective and tends to do better with smaller, female dogs. No small animals, including cats or chickens. He can be left home alone, free roaming, while his person is at work. This guy would do best in a home without young children. He has a bit of a bubble - and needs older children that would understand his boundaries. He has had basic training (Come, Down, Shake, Sit and Stay) and has also worked with KARE for resource guarding behavior. We will happily continue his training at a discount. As with most Gun Dog breeds, he is outgoing, enthusiastic and doting. He also needs to keep that brain working and so needs a home that is active! Fenced in yard required. Adopters must live in Western Washington. Fosters must live in Kitsap County, WA.

Meet Lorelei!   Lorelei is a 4-5 year old girl who is sweet and cheerful. She is an active girl who is a wonderful companion in the home. She will greet you with love and admiration when you come home, and will lay by your feet when you want to curl up on the couch.  She will do best as the only dog in the home, as she does not love to share her space inside with a dog friend. She likes to soak up all the love from her people though!   She is about 70 lbs of love. Lorelei needs more work on leash walking and her foster family and our trainer are diligently working on this.    Lorelei would love a home with a fenced yard where she can play and sniff around. She loves toys. She is such a good girl!   She is spayed, vaccinated, and chipped. Her adoption fee is $395.  We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Hi, I’m Tommy, I am a confident young pup who loves to play with other dogs. We run and play most of the day. I have an old mop that I play with and chew on the cloth strips. Otherwise, I haven’t learned to play with toys, maybe that is something you could teach me. I love the cats I live with too but sometimes they tell me to leave them alone, so I understand that they need their space. I don’t live with children and haven’t spent any time with them. They might scare me, or I might love to play with them too. Car rides are fun, but I know that I need to stay calm and sit down. I haven’t been to the beach yet, but I do like water. Sometimes you can find me splashing around in my water bowl!I spend a lot of time outside with my dog pals, but when I do go into the house I always go to the door when I need to do my business. I don’t like to be left alone very much. I remember one time my mom left me in the bathroom alone and I managed to get into a little mischief with the toilet paper.I am so happy to see her when she gets home from work because we can have a cuddle time on the bed.I like to go for walks, and I behave well if it is just me and my mom. If I am with another dog I will pull to be first. I know my basic commands, but I am more willing to show you if there is a treat involved. Welcome Plexie to CCPAL Rescue Foster program. Plexie is a 2.5 year old Pointer/Lab is our best guess. She has beautiful markings and a lower coat and isn’t a big shedder. She is being fostered by a good Samaritan. She has 10 beautiful and very robust puppies. She is a great momma dog and she is very sweet to all people. She is friendly with the teen children in the home where she is now staying. She is good with other dogs and nice to strangers. She was relatively quiet at the Rescue and she is good on a leash. She is good in a car ride and knows sit command. She is also potty trained, vaccinated, healthy and ready for her forever home. She is a nice sized dog at about 65 pounds. We will spay her as soon as she fully dries up and she will be ready for her forever home. She did a good job when we clipped her toenails and didn’t have any reaction. She will make a great companion pet for a family. We think she will be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is very tolerant to all the puppies and we honestly cannot see any negative thing about this amazing dog. She is currently in Texas and she can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.
