Story
Hi I’m Tommy, As you can see, I am just a puppy, who is a little shy for strangers. You will need some patience with me when I first meet you because I may want to run away. I was rescued with my 3 sisters, and I love to play with them all day long. Between the 3 of us we are pretty mischievous when left on our own, there isn’t a garbage can or a clothesline that hasn’t been disturbed at my foster home. Like a toddler I am learning a lot about how to be a good dog. But I will need a lot more training before then. Some of that training will need to be how to walk on leash, potty outside, and basic commands.A good home for me would be one that has another dog that I can learn from and be best friends with. A home where my people can spend time teaching me things I need to know and where we could go for long walks. I am good with kids and cats so if you have them, we will get along. If you are looking for a puppy to love, then I am ready! Just fill in the application and we can meet over Zoom.Lots of love to give,Tommy To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
Hi, I’m Maya, I am so glad to see you checking out my profile, I am ready to have a home I can call my own. I live with many other dogs, and we get along well together, and it is good to have someone to play with. I love my toys too, especially my stuffies. But sometimes I get excited and then they kind of blow up!I live with cats too, but I do like to chase them. Car rides are fun especially when they end up at the beach. I like the water, but I am not sure about swimming, maybe some day.If I could imagine my perfect family, they would be active where we could all go for walks or runs and hiking together. Kids would be great too; I imagine us playing in the backyard. Then we could all go in and cuddle in a warm bed. I will need some patience while I work on some of the basic training, but I know how to walk on leash really well. If it sounds like we could be the perfect family together, then just fill out an application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Lots of love to give,Maya To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
HI - I'M LUKE. I'm a sweet and happy 2-year-old Pointer/Boxer mix in need of a forever home. I'm currently in a foster home near Seattle, and am ready to meet you! I have beautiful, soulful eyes and a handsome face. I do great with other dogs, and love to fetch balls and bring them back to you. I don't bark much, unless someone barks at me. I walk nicely on a leash, though I'm quite strong, so could use a strong owner. I don't shed much either! I love treats and am an all-around great dog to have around. I was rescued from a California shelter after I became urgent due to lack of space. While there, I was kenneled with another female dog and did great. I've been tested with several dogs and have done well with everyone, and am currently in a foster home with another dog. I love people and am an easy-going boy. My only fault? I do not like cats, so would do best in a home without them! I weigh about 52 lbs. Can you adopt me?

Story
Animal Profile: Ranger is an estimated 2-year-old 60 lb bird dog mix who is social with dogs and cats, gives great eye contact and is very receptive to training. He is BFF with Gus who is also joined us Sept 15 from Texas. Ranger was polite meeting cats at the vet clinic and does well with other dogs. He has taken well to crate training. More info to come as we get to know him in foster care.   Foster Update: Ranger is settling in well with his foster family and is proving to be a total sweetie.  He is a quick learner and he is eager to please so he’s quickly picking up a lot of the basics. Ranger loves to play and seems partial to chew toys in particular. He is also a top notch snuggle buddy. Ranger really likes to go on walks, exploring new things and he gets super excited to see new people, critters etc. His fosters are working to help him learn a bit better manners on leash that will need a bit of continued efforts from his forever family but we think he will be a great pal for any and all adventures!  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Saving Shelter Strays, a  partner in Texas and arriving to Seattle area foster care on 09/15/23. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area.September 27, 2023, 1:13 pm

Story
He is currently in Seattle foster home Charlie is an incredibly friendly and affectionate dog, both with people and children. He's so comfortable that he even exposes his belly for belly rubs, demonstrating his trust. He's gentle with kids and enjoys their company, often rubbing against them to show his affection. When it comes to interacting with other dogs, Charlie has a calm and gentle approach. He prefers a polite introduction, focusing more on sniffing around than engaging in rough play. He's not a fan of hyperactive dogs, as their energy overwhelms him. He can get a bit jealous of other dogs, so he might thrive better as the only pet, relishing all the attention from his human family. Even when encountering a stray cat, Charlie's curiosity is piqued, but his primary focus remains on his handler. He's respectful and attentive in such situations. Indoors, Charlie is a model of tranquility, displaying a calm demeanor. He enjoys leisurely walks and, although he tends to pull a bit due to his eagerness to explore scents, he follows the handler's lead well. Charlie does have a food obsession, particularly concerning other dogs. Separate feeding is necessary to ensure a peaceful mealtime. It's essential to respect his space while he's eating, as he's sensitive about it. Barking is not a common behavior for Charlie, and he's quite comfortable in a crate. He's well-versed in car travel, knowing how to enter and exit the vehicle. For his bathroom needs, he prefers the outdoors exclusively. From his foster mom's perspective, Charlie's intelligence shines through. However, to bring out his best behavior, he requires a family that firmly establishes the rules. Charlie thrives when there's a clear alpha figure, preventing him from assuming that role himself. If he's allowed to become dominant, his stubbornness can emerge. It takes about 2-3 weeks of consistent discipline for Charlie to recognize and accept his position within the family hierarchy. Regarding food, Charlie guards his treats in his designated space. While he's fine receiving treats from you, he becomes protective when he brings them to his special area. By establishing firm boundaries, you can curb this behavior and unlock Charlie's potential as the perfect canine companion. Story
My name is Narin, and I'm a 1-year and 5-month-old English Black Pointer girl. I have a real soft spot for humans – once I get to know you, I'll be showing off my adorable belly and showering you with all the love and cuddles you could ever dream of. I thrive on affection and sometimes, I can get a little jealous when I see others getting attention. I get along well with other dogs. Although, I must confess, when it comes to food, I can be a bit protective. If you leave a tasty treat lying around, you might hear a little growl from me as I make sure it's safe. But don't worry, I'm working on my table manners. Right now, I'm staying in a foster home, and I've been on my best behavior around the other pups here. My foster parents say I'm a quick learner and always eager to please. Being a Pointer, I've got some quirks that come with the territory. I might let out a howl from time to time, and I've got some impressive speed when I'm on the move. That's why I think I'd thrive in a home with active, young individuals who are ready for adventures. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIsLTtIpe3JzEcFIh0FJBMOlIJRUtlXdm
