Nova warms up to new people relatively quickly, though she is still a bit of an introvert rather than an outgoing social butterfly. Because everything is new to her, Nova would benefit greatly from having another confident dog in the home to learn from. She lights up the moment she sees other dogs, preferring to follow them around and simply be near them for comfort and guidance.Nova is adjusting well to home life. She walks well on a leash, making her a lovely walking companion; though, she is still skittish around loud noises. She is sweet with respectful children and is doing well with house training when given frequent trips outside. A home with a quiet environment and patient people will help her adjust and get comfortable. She has never lived in a house, so training and manners are a work in progress. Penny will relax and settle in near her foster mom on the couch, though she often chooses to be on her own, watching what is going on around her. Meet Goose! He's playful and adorable. He wants to sleep in late, take long walks, and play before bedtime. 7 years old, 21 lbs, Gustav is a Pomeranian mix (we did a DNA test and he’s over 50% Pom with a bunch of other breeds). He's a fast learner and knows over 20 commands and tricks. He can even balance on his hind legs while standing on your back- but don’t worry, he’ll only do it if you ask him to! Goose is perfectly house trained and is great on a leash. He has some dog reactivity but it is dependent on the dog, and he’ll ignore most dogs if you give him a treat. He tends to really like dogs that are smaller than him. He has lived with cats and they usually ignored each other, but this hasn’t been tested recently. Goose has been our beloved pet for 6 years. We wholeheartedly adore him. Unfortunately, he has become anxious and stressed sharing His home with a 4 month old. He needs calm, quiet, & quality time with 1 or 2 adults in a child-free home.
