Dolly is an exceptional family pup. She is crate trained and potty trained. She likes riding in the truck and go for walks. She likes other dogs and cats. She likes all people. She loves her dog bed, her toys, hanging out on human couches and playing with other dogs. She is a Puggle (mixed breed) and not sure what her other breeds are since she was found as a stray. San Antonio area has over 800,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. She is looking for an active mixed breed dog experienced family with a securely fenced yard. She will do best with another dog companion or an active family. She likes dogs his size, dog beds, laps, bones (to chew on), couches and toys. She will do best in an active home with children over 10 years of age. She is crate trained, loves car rides, walks and dog training. Not sure on exact adult size, but guessing no larger than a medium sized dog as parents are 25 lbs. No apartments please. Welcome Johnny to CCPAL Rescue. Johnny is a 7-month-old Pug mixed pup. He is a beautiful tan color with a black muzzle. He has an underbite and a shortened nose. He is a bigger-sized boy pup in the liter. He weighs about 15 pounds now and will be a small dog full grown. He has an adorable underbite and is great with other dogs. He is active but not over the top. He has the curly tail like the traditional pug but maybe the curl is less tight. He is a laid-back boy and was easy to take photos with. They all have curly tails and the round adorable heads. Johnny is one of two boys in the litter. He was the last puppy to come out of his kennel as he was enjoying his nap. He was very workable and stood still and sat willingly on the table for the photo shoot. They are all affectionate and cuddly. They are very playful with their siblings. Johnny is social and would be a great dog to take to the local coffee shop. He loves all people and is call in loud situations. They go on a wee pad but are not fully potty trained. They are good in a crate and are getting regular attention and love at the Rescue. We don’t have the privilege of adopting out many pugs. We are excited to find the pug pups their forever home. We would love pug people for these pups, as they know the breed most. They will be spayed and neutered and ready for their forever home soon. Someone that doesn’t work all day every day is the best candidate for a puppy. These pups would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older as these pups are small and very trusting of everyone. Johnny is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Crash got his name after he “crashed” a shelter event so he could join in and play with the other dogs. He's a social, adventurous boy who loves attention, enjoys other dogs, and seems to take life in stride. Even when other dogs bark at him, he stays pretty laid-back. He's just here to have a good time! Crash wasted absolutely no time finding the toy box in his current foster home, and dug around for his favorites. This playful boy knows what he likes! He's affectionate, energetic, and always ready to join the fun. Crash seems to be a quick learner, too. His foster has already seen him respond to a verbal cue and hand gesture when asked to leave a dog-free room. He's crate trained and leash trained, and with some consistency and positive reinforcement, he's got all the potential to be an amazing companion. Crash is still working on a few things, including keeping all four paws on the floor when greeting people and getting a refresher on potty training. He's an enthusiastic guy who sometimes needs a little help remembering his manners. Crash seems like he would love kids, although his energy means extra care is needed around little ones so nobody gets accidentally knocked over during an enthusiastic greeting. He hasn't been exposed to cats, but he may do well with them with proper introductions. If your home could use more laughter, playtime, tail wags, and a whole lot of love, Crash is ready to apply for the job of your new best friend! He's got the personality, the smarts, and the enthusiasm. All he's missing is a family to call his own. Crash is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 10/24/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and 11:00am. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more. ---- This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due. The adopter will be responsible for scheduling the retest and obtaining any follow-up prescriptions through their veterinarian.
