Story
I'm Xavier! Once I get to know you and understand that you are part of my crew, I will adore you. I love to stand on my back two legs for hugs and nuzzles. I'm 5 years old and weigh 27 pounds. I was rescued about 3.5 years ago and during that time I've become very accustomed to sleeping in a crate, being a very good boy on a leash, and rocking car rides. According to my DNA results, I'm 100% rat terrier, though I'm leggier than most. I'm smart, sweet, and sensitive. My family has been going through some big changes that have not been great for me. I don't know which has been harder: the move from a quiet home with a fenced yard to a condo in an urban locale or my dad moving away. I admit I've been acting out a bit: I find myself overreacting to other dogs and sometimes I'm unsure about people, too. The thing is: I like being well behaved and I am a total lovebug! I need a calm, consistent companion who will work with my socialization skills. I learn quickly for treats and cuddles!

Story
This is Nelson an almost 2-year-old mix of questionable origin who weighs just 14 lbs.  He may be a miix of rat terrier and Chihuahua, and we don't know about his breeding but we do know he is very cute and sweet.  He was found with his 4 siblings when they were about 4 weeks old, alone and scared in a parking lot, so someone probably didn't want puppies and just dumped them there.  While it is very sad that they had to spend even a minute on their own, we are happy that we can now make them available for adoption to go to loving homes.   All the pups are crate trained, and trained to potty on pads.  They are calm, sweet, and loving.   I have to tell you that we may have missed the mark with him.  Perhaps we should have called him Sherlock - I mean, look at that face!  Can't you just imagine him with that little Sherlock Holmes hat on, holding a pipe, sniffing out clues?  Maybe he could find his new family all on his own?  I think he could.  Just in case though, you want to fill out an application on him!   There is new video of him on the website:  4dogsfarmrescue.org/Available-dogs.html - scroll down until you see his name.  He's so sweet and loving. Nelson has a new video up on the website - please go and scroll down until you see how sweet and loving he is!  If you are interested in adopting, please go there 4dogsfarmrescue.org/Adoption.html Nelson will come to you neutered and fully vetted. ADOPTION FEE:  $475.00 ##1530159##

Story
Miss Carol is an amazingly polite, friendly girl with a face so sweet that 4 out of 5 dentists recommend brushing your teeth after looking at her. She's either a biggish small dog, or a smallish medium dog (you're free to define her in whatever way best suits your lifestyle) who ambulates like a pro and enjoys short walks. This happy, mellow angel gets along with all dogs and persons, even young ones. Make her yours and make you hers! Here's some notes from her foster: She is very easy to get along with and loves to mostly be parked on the couch next to her humans, but is about 2-3 20-30 min walks a day. I think she should be encouraged to walk. She is very food focused and with try to hypnotize her humans when they're eating, but will generally take no for an answer and turn away after a moment or if told "no" firmly. She has superb bladder control and can go about 10 hours without peeing if she needs to. She is so focused on being with her person, she won't leave them to pee, Now she pees and poops well on walks, but I always take her for a brief walk before bed to make sure she's good to go. I have seen her pee in our yard a handful of times of her own volition, so she may get used to it with a forever home after a month or two. Otherwise, she's very very sweet. Super excited to see people when they get home, up for adventures of any sort, and generally quite endearing!

Meet Moose! He's a 5 year old rat terrier mix who is cute as a button. This sweetheart was adopted out a few years ago but unfortunately got stressed with a new move and living in a very busy city in an apartment so is back with us looking for a more quiet home. Moose LOVES his person, is extremely loving and affectionate - he is a velcro dog and wants to sit in your lap and give kisses. He's fostered with other dogs whom he does well with - he is crate trained and is a good alert dog and will let you know when someone is near the house. His ideal home is with adults who have a quiet household and are looking for a loyal, loving companion. If you are interested in meeting Moose please fill out an application at our website: www.gobeyondrescue.org/adopt Our adoption fee is $450 and includes spay/neuter, microchipping and up to date vaccines. We adopt within 200 miles of San Francisco.

Searching for a furry companion who loves snuggling and showering you with affection? Look no further than Miki! Weighing just 12 lbs., this 1½ year old adorable girl is the perfect size for cozy cuddles. Whether it's curling up in your lap or snuggling beside you on the couch, Miki's favorite place is right by your side, spreading joy and love. Miki is an incredibly friendly and loving pup. Her sociable nature makes her a delight to be around, as she eagerly welcomes new human and canine friends into her world. She has shown great compatibility with dogs of all sizes and enjoys engaging in playful romps with them. While her foster home doesn't have cats, Miki remains calm and composed in the presence of feral cats she encounters outside. Miki is well-behaved indoors, displaying minimal barking. She loves going for walks and hikes. However, it's worth noting that Miki isn't particularly fond of car rides, as they tend to make her a bit anxious and result in some drooling. Miki's foster home reports that she has adjusted well and is thriving in a nurturing environment. Now, Miki is eagerly awaiting her forever home, where she can continue to spread happiness and snuggles to her new family. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this little snuggler,, please complete our application at 1luckydogrescue.org, or contact Nancy at nancymoore016@gmail.com. If contacting by email, please tell us a little about the home you would offer Miki.

Story
*** THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING *** Once Zippy knows he is safe, he will be your devoted side kick. Zippy is a handsome adult Rat Terrier mix who is looking for a family to call his own. Zippy is estimated to be four years old and weighs 20 pounds. He was a stray with no identification when neighbors banded together and were able to capture him. One family had Zippy neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is currently up to date on all vaccines. Zippy has been in the same home for a year, but the family is unable to keep him due to incompatibility with their older dog. Zippy is accustomed to being inside and is mostly housebroken (of course he would need to learn the rules at your house.) While he is active outside and loves doing zoomies in the yard, he is good natured, obedient, and calm indoors. He loves children who are willing to take the time for him to feel safe, so older children are preferred. Once Zippy knows he’s safe, he’ll be faithfully at their side. More than anything, Zippy loves people and loves to snuggle on the couch or in bed. He also is cat friendly and has a feline best friend. Zippy will shine as an only dog in a home where he does not need to share the attention. Zippy is frightened by loud noises and takes time to warm up to strangers so he needs a family who will help him through those scary times. Zippy can be an escape artist if a door or gate is left open. Fortunately, he is not a digger. If you think your home is a good match for Zippy, please email Sue at dogs@s2springer.com and describe a bit about the home you would provide for this young man.

Story
Lucy is a sweet, adorable, energetic dog that needs a lot of attention and exercise. She was rescued from a homeless encampment in the Bay Area and unfortunately we are unable to keep her for a variety of reasons. One, we as a family, just don’t have the proper time to give her the exercise that she needs. With both our kids playing travel sports, it is hard to find the time to get her out and chasing the chuck it (her favorite activity). She is ball obsessed, and is a great retriever. Two, she “semi” gets along with our two cats. Lucy being a rat terrier, she has a strong instinctual prey drive and is constantly chasing them. It’s not fair to the cats and causes them stress. She’s never hurt either cat, but I highly recommend she go to a home with none. Lucy’s ideal adopter is highly active, loves to take her outdoors on adventures, and she could fit in with a multi dog family, in a cat free home.

Pelusa wants to know what she has to do to get adopted around here! Be adorable? Check. Calm and well-mannered? Check. Friendly to people, cats, and other dogs? Check. Smart and trainable? Check. Pelusa came to us through no fault of her own and has kept a great attitude the entire time. This little lady is around seven years old but acts like she is just a pup. Pelusa would make a perfect addition to any home. Don't pass this good girl up; she will not last long! June 6, 2023, 4:45 pm

Story
Noah was found tied up in the park with George.  Probably from the same family who abandoned them for whatever reason.  We don't know how long they were tied up there, but our foster found them and took them home.  He is quite friendly and goofy, happy to see you and wants to be your friend.   Noah weighs less than 15 lbs and is approximately 1.5 years old.  He is searching for a family who will never ever let him go again.  He is a Parsons Russell terrier mix and they are playful and quite intelligent.  They have a lot of energy, so will do well with older kids who know how to live with a dog and may like to run around in the yard with him.  Or maybe you have another dog who needs a friend. If you think he may be the dog for you,  please fill out an application at 4dogsfarmrescue.org/Adoption.html Noah will lome to you neutered and completely vetted.
