Kobe loves kids of all ages and has lived happily with children. -KNOWN CUES: Kobe is smart, treat-motivated, and learning quickly. He is currently working on basic manners, leash skills, and settling. He does great in his crate and sleeps comfortably in it overnight. ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Kobe (formerly Baldur) came into foster care with his mama, Bindi, and littermates when he was just a couple of days old. He was adopted as a puppy and recently returned to our care through no fault of his own. Now six months old and nearly 60 pounds, he’s grown from the fluffy little puppy we knew into one very big, very lovable goofball. His DNA shows he is primarily Rottweiler and American Foxhound, and he will be a large dog when fully grown. Notes from the foster: Kobe is a big, lovable goofball who is still very much a six-month-old puppy and has absolutely no idea how big he is! At nearly 60 pounds (and still growing), he’s playful, curious, smart, affectionate, and an absolute cuddle bug. He loves people, is wonderful with kids, and adores other dogs of all ages and sizes. He’s curious about the resident cat and would really like him to be a playmate, but he’s doing well learning to respect boundaries. Kobe can be a little cautious when first meeting someone new, but he warms up quickly. Kobe is mostly housebroken and sleeps beautifully in his crate at night. He may protest briefly if crated during the day while he can still hear his people, but settles down. He loves walks, sniffing, playing, toys, treats, and being wherever his humans are. He can also be a little mouthy when excited or playing—typical puppy behavior that we’re working on redirecting to toys. Kobe is a very big puppy with an equally big heart. He’ll do best with a family ready to continue his training, give him plenty of opportunities to play and explore, and appreciate the occasional reminder that nearly 60 pounds is probably too big to be a lap dog. Looking for a loving and responsible home for my Rottweiler/Pitbull mix Tank. He is a sweet, energetic, playful boy who loves attention and being around people. He is 10 months old and he has a big personality and lots of energy, so he would do best with someone who has the time and patience to continue working with him on training. Tank is still young and learning, and he can get overly excited when meeting people. He may jump up on people when excited, so continued training and boundaries are important. Because of his size and strength, he would benefit from an owner who is comfortable handling a strong, energetic dog. She's met kids from toddlers to twelve-year-olds and is happy to be petted and fussed over by them. She gets along well with other dogs, shares her food, water, and bed, and will even groom her friends. She loves the dog park, where she's eager to greet everyone before making her rounds to sniff and explore. She's had gentle, positive encounters with a neighborhood cat, too. Harper is easy in all the everyday ways. She has lovely leash manners and rarely pulls, though she'll perk up for another dog, a deer, or a rabbit. She barks very little — not at the front door, not at the garage, mostly just to get your attention. She naps wherever her human is, whether that's the couch, the floor, or under the desk. She's up around 6am but will wait patiently for you to be ready for the day, and she puts herself to bed on her own around 10pm. She goes into her crate willingly and has stayed in it overnight and through workdays without complaint. She gets genuinely excited about car rides and settles right in. She tolerates the shower well and loves the towel-dry afterward. And when she wants a little quiet time, she'll take herself off to a corner for a nap — she's good at telling you what she needs. At the table, she's a fan of cheddar cheese, hot dogs, boiled chicken, steak, and small Milk-Bones. She's missing a few teeth, so she eats a smaller kibble size, and she takes a daily medication for some stiffness in her back legs that keeps her comfortable and moving well. I'll perform all sorts of acrobats, even jumping in the air and twisting in every direction to catch a ball! I'm even learning to bring the balls back! I love car (or truck) rides. And I never met a trail that I did not want to explore. I meet everyone at my kennel with either a toy in my mouth or my food bowl. I am so happy to show them off to everyone. I have a full body wiggle when my favorite people are coming to get me out for a walk. I like other dogs with proper introductions. When I find a dog I like, I'll run & play until we're both dizzy with exhaustion. I'm a true "ladies man and would thrive in a home with another delightful female companion. I can be a bit shy at first, but then turn on that southern charm. I need an experienced owner and I need to be introduced to strangers slowly. But once I trust, I will enjoy cuddling in your lap. If you are willing and able to put the time into training me I will be sure to do my best to learn. Like most Rotties, I form strong bonds with those I love. Meet Hazel – The Boxer Mix Who Runs on Mischief,  Zoomies,  and Pure Charm  Hazel may only be a pup, but don’t let her size fool you—this little Boxer mix is already a full-time entertainer and part-time chaos coordinator. She can go from sweet snuggles to full-blown zoomies in 0.3 seconds flat, leaving you wondering if you accidentally adopted a tiny, furry tornado. She’s a tug-of-war champion, undefeated in her weight class (and yours), and a zoomies Olympian who can complete twelve laps around the couch before you’ve even stood up. When she joins the pack for “guard duty,” her bark magically transforms into a dramatic little howl, as if she’s announcing to the world that she’s on the job. Hazel is endlessly curious—if there’s a sound, smell, or suspicious sock, she’s on the case. She’s also a problem solver, which is adorable… until you realize she’s outsmarted you. Again. And then there’s her signature move: the head tilt.
