Story
https://foha.org/pet/mason/ Hi there! I'm Mason! I certainly am an adorable Rottie mix who loves and plays hard. I am a pro when it comes to games of fetch. I'll perform all sorts of acrobats, even jumping in the air and twisting in every direction to catch a ball! I'm even learning to bring the balls back! I love car (or truck) rides. And I never met a trail that I did not want to explore. I meet everyone at my kennel with either a toy in my mouth or my food bowl. I am so happy to show them off to everyone. I have a full body wiggle when my favorite people are coming to get me out for a walk. I like other dogs with proper introductions. When I find a dog I like, I'll run & play until we're both dizzy with exhaustion. I'm a true "ladies man and would thrive in a home with another delightful female companion. I can be a bit shy at first, but then turn on that southern charm. I need an experienced owner and I need to be introduced to strangers slowly. But once I trust, I will enjoy cuddling in your lap. If you are willing and able to put the time into training me I will be sure to do my best to learn. Like most Rotties, I form strong bonds with those I love. I'm what they call a "diamond-in-the-ruff who will make a great life-long companion. I have been waiting a long time for my forever home. Loving, loyal, full of life. Come meet me!

Story
https://foha.org/pet/nutterbutter2026/ 🌟 Meet Nutter Butter! 🐾 ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Nutter Butter has already traveled farther than many of us! This sweet Rottweiler mix came to FOHA all the way from Mexico, and she even has her own passport to prove it. 🌎✈️🐾 Her journey began when she was found wandering along a dirt road with three other puppies in Pedro Escobedo, Querétaro. Eventually, Nutter Butter made the big trip to Virginia, and now there's just one destination left on her itinerary: a home of her own. For a puppy, Nutter Butter is surprisingly laid-back and well behaved. She walks beautifully on leash, is crate trained, and has a lovely, easygoing way about her. When she's somewhere new, she likes to take a moment to sniff, explore, and figure things out. Once she's satisfied with her investigation, though, she's ready to come in for love and affection. Of course, she is still a puppy! Nutter Butter can get mouthy when she's excited, and those puppy teeth can be sharper than she realizes. Thankfully, she's been easy to redirect onto a toy or with a treat. And speaking of treats... this girl LOVES food. That enthusiasm should come in handy as she continues learning all the important skills that go along with growing into a well-mannered adult dog. Sweet, affectionate, well traveled, and equipped with both a passport and an adorable name, Nutter Butter is ready for her next adventure. 🐕 HOW AM I WITH DOGS: I was originally found with three other puppies, but my friends at FOHA are still getting to know me and learning more about my preferences with other dogs. 🐱 HOW AM I WITH CATS: Unknown — just ask my friends at FOHA about a cat test. 👶 HOW AM I WITH KIDS: Unknown. I'm still a puppy and can currently be mouthy during play, so my friends at FOHA can help determine whether I'd be a good match for your family. 🎓 I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS: I'm still a puppy with plenty to learn, but I'm already showing some wonderful manners! I walk beautifully on leash and am very food motivated, which makes treats a great tool for continuing my training. I'm currently learning that toys are for putting my mouth on and people are not. Luckily, I'm easy to redirect when my puppy enthusiasm gets the better of me. 🏠 MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: I'm crate trained! My full housebreaking history is still unknown. 💖 THINGS I LIKE: Treats • FOOD! • Love and affection • Exploring new places • Sniffing everything first • Toys • Walks • Taking a moment to check out my surroundings • Adding new stamps to my passport 😉 ⚠️ THINGS I'M WORKING ON: Puppy mouthiness • Continuing my basic training • Learning all the skills that come with growing up Nutter Butter started life wandering a dirt road in Mexico. Now she's crossed borders, earned herself a passport, and made it all the way to FOHA. For such a young dog, she's already had quite the journey. The only trip we're really excited about now is the one from FOHA to her forever home. 💛 📋 FOHA ADOPTION POLICIES AND PROCESS: Click Here!(opens in new tab) 💰 ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet.

HARPER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Harper and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (8/23) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Silver Spring (12020 Cherry Hill Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904)!     Name:   Harper          Best Guess for Breed:   Rottweiler mix   Best Guess for Age:   7 years as of April 2026         SEX:    Female   Approximate Weight:   55 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   DC area foster home   Harper is Looking For:    Harper is ready to start her next chapter. With her soulful eyes and gentle presence, she has a quiet charm that draws you in and makes you want to learn more about her.  Harper is at that wonderful stage in life where she’s past the puppy chaos but still has plenty of love and companionship to give. Whether it’s joining you for a walk, lounging nearby, or simply being your steady sidekick, Harper is ready to find a place to call her own. What My Foster Says About Me:    She's a small Rottweiler with all the confidence of a big one, and her favorite things in the world are squeaky toys, belly rubs, and lying on her side on the couch next to her people. She is endlessly, cheerfully social. She's great with new people and will ask just about anyone for a belly rub — she once spent an afternoon at a pickleball court, lying quietly on the sideline watching the game and then making the rounds of every player for pets. She's met kids from toddlers to twelve-year-olds and is happy to be petted and fussed over by them. She gets along well with other dogs, shares her food, water, and bed, and will even groom her friends. She loves the dog park, where she's eager to greet everyone before making her rounds to sniff and explore. She's had gentle, positive encounters with a neighborhood cat, too. Harper is easy in all the everyday ways. She has lovely leash manners and rarely pulls, though she'll perk up for another dog, a deer, or a rabbit. She barks very little — not at the front door, not at the garage, mostly just to get your attention. She naps wherever her human is, whether that's the couch, the floor, or under the desk. She's up around 6am but will wait patiently for you to be ready for the day, and she puts herself to bed on her own around 10pm. She goes into her crate willingly and has stayed in it overnight and through workdays without complaint. She gets genuinely excited about car rides and settles right in. She tolerates the shower well and loves the towel-dry afterward. And when she wants a little quiet time, she'll take herself off to a corner for a nap — she's good at telling you what she needs. At the table, she's a fan of cheddar cheese, hot dogs, boiled chicken, steak, and small Milk-Bones. She's missing a few teeth, so she eats a smaller kibble size, and she takes a daily medication for some stiffness in her back legs that keeps her comfortable and moving well. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Story
Lucky is a young Boxer mix with a big heart, an adventurous spirit, and a playful personality that is sure to make you smile. While he can be a little shy when meeting new people, it doesn't take long for him to decide you're a friend, especially if you happen to have a few treats in your pocket. Once he trusts you, his affectionate and goofy side quickly shines through. Lucky loves to play and would happily spend hours chasing a ball if you're up for it. When playtime is over, he's just as content entertaining himself with his favorite toys or settling down with a bone. During the day, he rests quietly in his crate, patiently waiting for his favorite part of the day: spending time with his people. This sweet young dog is doing well with housetraining and will run to the door when he needs to go outside. He already knows how to sit for a treat, although his excitement sometimes gets the best of him when rewards are involved. He's also learning leash manners and is making great progress every day. Lucky gets along wonderfully with other animals. He has done well with older children in the neighborhood and has met younger children successfully while on leash. His friendly, playful nature makes him a joy to be around for both people and pets. Because he's still young and energetic, Lucky would thrive with an active family that can include him in their adventures and continue building his confidence. A home with a fenced yard would be a bonus, but most importantly, he's looking for people who will love him, play with him, and make him part of the family. If you're searching for a loyal companion who will keep you laughing, happily join you on life's adventures, and greet you every day with enthusiasm and love, Lucky may be the perfect addition to your home. ❤️ Adoption fee includes: first 2 DAPP, bordetella, deworming, flea preventative, sterilized, heartworm test, microchip Adoption fee: $525.00   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
This handsome boy may be small in size, but he has a BIG personality! He is playful, energetic, and loves a good round of rough-and-tumble fun, while also being respectful when given boundaries. He’s incredibly affectionate and has already learned to ask for one of his favorite things—belly rubs! He’s also very food motivated, which makes him eager to learn and a fun pup to train. He’s making great progress with his house manners and is quickly learning that the appropriate places to potty are his pee pad and, of course, outside. With his affectionate nature and love for people, he has all the makings of a wonderful family companion. At the same time, this is an active, engaged pup with plenty of energy, curiosity, and drive. He would thrive in a home that enjoys training, enrichment, and adventures together.
