Story
Lou Lou greets life with a joyful energy and enthusiasm. She likes long walks, lots of playing and cuddles.  She enjoys exploring the world and meeting new people.  She would like to be friends with everyone and learn about everything.  Lou Lou is good with other dogs and respectful with cats.  While she is interested in children, she is a strong dog and may be too enthusiastic when interacting with small children.  She has a great deal of energy and does best when her energy is given an appropriate outlet.  Chew toys and games of chase the ball are favorites.  Lou Lou is crate trained and housebroken.  If you are looking for a faithful companion to share adventures, Lou Lou is ready to take on the challenge.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
I'm at our New York Avenue shelter! If you want to adopt me, come to 1201 New York Ave. NE between 12-7 pm Tuesday-Sunday or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more. The shelter gave me this silly name- Egg! So, first order of business when you adopt me is to give me an awesome new name, please. So, my story is this- someone and I can't name names because I only speak Dog- but someone left me tied to the shelter's fence and then left me! I was a bit confused but then some nice staff found me and got me inside to get warm. I've been having SO MUCH FUN, but I need a proper home please. I'm still kind of young so I need to be active. I'm a strong puppy, and already 80 pounds so be sure to hold my leash tight. I'm smart too and would thrive in positive training classes. So, if you can handle a big fella like me, please get to the shelter fast- we have lots to do!

** I am currently being housed at our New York Avenue location. Come meet me at 1201 New York Avenue NE, every day from 12pm-7pm. Please arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. to allow ample time to interact with adoptable dogs. Or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more.** You can bet your lucky astrological stars that Taurus is a winner. And a BIG one too. This 100+pound hunk of burning love is super handsome and sweet. He has been charming everyone here with his goofy, wiggly self. Taurus is a silly boy who can barrel his way into anything, and he hopes its into your heart and home. He had one but the owner could not keep him anymore. In his previous home, Taurus so wanted to be with his family as he is a loyal doggie. Taurus also has a ton of energy and so wants and needs LOTS of long walks and oodles of playtime. The boy wants to be engaged with you! Do you have extra room on the couch for this snuggle muffin? Can you handle a whole lotta dog? Well, you must meet Taurus today!

Story
Mason is designated volunteer due to his leash reactivity. Whoever walks him should know not to allow him to get near anybody he is not okay with. He is a Designated Volunteer dog so he can have slow introductions to new people. Start to meet Mason by visiting him and throwing treats into his run area and talking with him. Once he seems sure, ask a staff member or favorite volunteers to introduce you. Once this is done Mason should be good with you walking him.
