Story
Our Adoption Radius is One Hour (60 miles maximum) of Zip Code 20906. Emerie the Rottie/Shepherd mix is here to steal your heart... and maybe your socks. This 4-5 month old firecracker is the perfect package of cuteness, with a dash of "been-through-it-all" sprinkled on top. Why the "been-through-it-all" you ask? Well, Emerie had a bit of a rough start. She got hit by a car and needed a leg amputation, but that doesn't slow this pup down one bit! In fact, she's mastered the art of balancing on three legs in just two days, and conquering stairs with the help of a friend took a whole five days (what a slacker!). Now, Emerie is on the hunt for her forever family. She's a playful pup who wants to be your best friend, even if the other dogs are giving her the stink eye. She's vocal about wanting out of her crate, but don't be fooled - she's an angel child when you're not around (we have camera footage to prove it!). Emerie is a typical puppy, meaning she's got all the standard puppy quirks: nipping, biting, chewing, barking, and the occasional accident. But hey, that's just part of the fun, right? Emerie is waiting for her happily ever after, and it could be with you! Think you can handle the cuteness and the chaos? If you live within an hour (60 miles maximum) of zip code 20906 and are ready to commit to training this amazing pup, then email Tascas.Love@gmail.com for an application.

Story
My name is Darcy and I am a young, 2 year old, 85 pound Rottweiler girl that is looking for a home where I can be the Queen and the only dog in my domain.  You see I love cats but I was the only dog for a while and then here comes this other dog when my adoptive momma’s daughter moved home with her dog.  I just felt like I should be asked about that, but I wasn’t.  I am a little territorial with other dogs about my place and space.  If you know my breed traits and all the great positives about a Rottweiler, then you know I will be a fabulous family companion.   I am the total package with all the great house manners, housebroken, I don’t chew and I am a really calm and beautiful Rottie girl.  My momma is heartbroken to find me another home, but it just has to happen. I am a great friend to children too.   IF you know the Rottie breed then you will see that I am a great catch!   Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 18, 2024, 7:05 pm

A fenced in backyard yard is a must for this gal.  She has been through obedience training as a pup and knows some commands but will need a refresher course in leash training and jumping.  No kids under 16 due to resource guarding.  Large bully breed experience a must.   No Apts/Townhomes (no exceptions).Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Welcome to the cereal crew. These little beauties were surrendered to the shelter and we took them under the stipulation that we would spay the mother. So we got all of the puppies. The mother is full blooded Rottweiler but we have no idea what the father is. These little guys are cute and full of love and fun. They just need a family to love them so they can have a good chance at being a family member of a nice family that they can give all of their love to as well. We do transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

These pups are in Rockville, Maryland too!

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. SCOOBY is a big boy...at least 66#. His estimated DOB is 1/5/2020...so he is almost 4 yrs old. He is a very FUN dog and loves playing with other dogs but he is exuberant and easily intimidates smaller dogs. He would be a great companion dog for a large breed dog. He loves everyone and just wants to play. He has not had in-house training...in a shelter with lots of dogs, the big ones don't necessarily get the royal treatment. He has been leash-trained and loves to go on walks. After he get rid of the initial excitement about going out, he walks gently on the leash. I do not trust him with a cat. If it runs, he will chase. He sees them as lots of fun. Scooby would be great with a family with older children. Smaller ones would probably get knocked down during playtime. He needs a home with large back yard, I would not recommend him for an apartment. Check out our YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/KD9BUCFmQCs This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at petcentralsatx@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to the NE. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Prim-at-a-glance: 1-1/2 year old, female, spayed, Boxer/Terrier mix, 45 lbs., up-to-date on core vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative. Prim takes monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention.  Prim was abandoned by her owners at a boarding facility that was doing her training.  Prim is now in a LOVEPAWS foster home and she is a delight to have around!  She responds to basic commands such as sit, stay and shake hands.  Prim could use more experience socializing with other dogs in a low-key environment as she is quite vocal when she sees other dogs on her walks around town, however, she is easy to walk on the leash.  Once she's given the opportunity to get that leash unhooked in a safe, fenced area she loves to run and run as fast as she can. Zoom, zoom, zoom! When it's time to settle down inside the house, squeaky toys are her favorite.  Well, food and treats are her favorite, but then squeaky toys if no food is being offered. Prim would do best in a home with a fenced yard so she can run to her heart's content. She's cautious meeting new people and while adults understand to take it slow, young kids may try to rush the BFF thing so older, respectful kids would be a better fit. She hasn't been tested with cats.  Prim can be shy and skittish but she is gentle and loving and makes a great movie or game-watching couch buddy. Story
Eddie-at-a-glance: 4-1/2 year old, male, neutered Boxer mix, 46 lbs., up-to-date on core vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative. Eddie takes monthly flea/tick/heart worm prevention. Eddie is a sweet guy just longing for your love! Eddie came to LOVEPAWS when his loving family was no longer able to afford to care for him or his Shih Tzu borther, so we took them both in. His brother was adopted, now it's Eddie's turn!  Eddie's super power is his desire to please you! He wants to be your right-hand pup and works hard to earn that position by being a good listener. Learning something new takes a few tries but then he becomes a pro!  He's looking for a family to give him kisses and  belly rubs and to tell him how cute he is AND  what a good boy he is. He eats every last bit of it up! Eddie is great at matching his energy with his surroundings but he's more of a chill boy that prefers a quiet home. His dream day would be a chill day spent with his human, topping it off with a snooze in his crate with his favorite blankie. Eddie is 100% love bug and is dedicated to his people. Eddie can live with another dog or be the only dog in his home. He's flexible!  A fenced yard would be great for him to play fetch in, but it's not required. He really enjoys his walks! He needs a home with older respectful kids ages 11+.  Eddie has not been tested around cats, but we think he could be a nuisance to them so we want a no-cat home for him. Interested in adopting? Of course you are! Submit an application here!April 18, 2024, 4:54 pm
