Story
Welcome Honey to CCPAL foster Program. Honey is a 3 year old Boxer mixed dog. She is potty trained. We think Honey survived the flood in Kerrville. A good samaritan has taken her in and is giving her good nutrition and love until we find her forever home. She was really scratched up and had a wound on her front left leg. She will be spayed soon and she is going to the vet again for a follow up on her leg. Our guess is it may have gotten broken and healed back on it’s own due to what she has gone through. She is good on a leash, very loving and bonds deeply. She lives with 5 cats right now but she is much too interested and we feel her best home would be without cats. She loves all people and no one is a stranger. She is good with dogs her size and is an energetic girl. Her best home would be with an active and ourdoorsy family that wants a great companion to join them in their outdoor fun. She is looking wonderful and filling out nicely in her new foster home. She lost some muscle around her bum area due to the length of time she was without food. Despite this, she would make an amazing family pet. She would love to be the only dog and be the center of her families attention. She weighs about 40 pounds and is a taller dog but medium weight. She is great in a car and would make a great dog in settings where lots of people are around. She is lower in shedding. She will be getting spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. WOOF! I'M RILEY! I'm a 3-year-old Boxer-Shepherd mix in need of a foster or forever home. I was recently rescued from a California shelter where I was pretty terrified - I sat in the back and looked at people as they walked by. But now I'm coming out of my shell. I have done great with other dogs so far and am quickly adjusting to be a happy boy. I weigh about 50-55 lbs. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
Meet Bella – Waiting Over 5 Years for Her Forever Family Sweet Bella has been with Spring Branch Rescue for over 5 years, hoping for a family to finally see her!  As a puppy, Bella was kept in a crate for long hours. All she wanted was to play with the kids in her home, but instead she spent her days confined. Despite her rough start, she’s still full of love, joy, and personality. Bella is playful, affectionate, and loves being part of the conversation (yes, she’s a little vocal!). She’s crate-trained, loves her playtime, and thrives when she’s included in family life. She’s on a special salmon or beef-based diet for mild skin allergies — no poultry for this girl.  Bella deserves a home where she can be free to love, play, and belong. She’s waited long enough — could you be the one she’s been dreaming of? Adoption Info:Apply at www.springbranchrescue.orgNot in Texas? No problem! We offer transport to the Pacific NW and East Coast. Bella is ready to be part of your family — forever. ##2149754##

Story
The Best 8-Year-Old “Puppy” Around! Looking for a dog who’s got just the right mix of wisdom and zoomies? Meet Gunner! At 8 years old, he’s got life figured out—except for why squirrels won’t be his friends. Why He’s Awesome: Knows important commands like “sit” and “go lie down” (though he sometimes pretends not to hear after “no more treats”). Crate trained—his “man cave” is his happy place. Leash trained, but if another dog walks by… let’s just say he gets very enthusiastic about making new friends. Neutered and fully vaccinated—basically, a low-maintenance best friend. He’s sweet, playful, and great with people of all ages. If you’re looking for a dog that’s past the puppy chaos but still ready for adventures (or couch naps), Gunner is your guy!  We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest & East Coast allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier. Our application review takes about 10 days.  This adoption process will require 3 videos of (outside of your home, backyard, and inside of your home) since we are not able to conduct home checks at this time. We will be calling 2 references (Not related to you please). We will be contacting your veterinarian (We work with 1st time owners) to make sure you have vaccinated all your pets yearly, and that all have been spayed/neutered. Our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for the Pacific Northwest & East Coast. We will book your baby as soon as adoption & transport fees have been received.  If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then go to https://www.petstablished.com/organization/920716    ##2351783##

Story
Sweet boy Porkchop is a gem, who loves to be with his humans, and very good with other dogs and does not mind cats either. He is very well behaved, mild mannered, obedient pup. He was rescued from a Houston shelter and he has been great at boarding kennels and foster homes. Apply to adopt him via savesomesouls.com He is very calm, gentle, and velcro pup. He loves his chew toys and treats. He is also an excellent treat catcher. You can throw a treat from any part of the room, Porkie tries not to miss it. His daycare manager says he is one of the smartest dogs he has met. He also does not care that the dogs bark at him, he just walks away. He loves to cuddle, and snuggle. He will be great as a companion for any family or single person. He is good with cats and dogs. He is a big boy, so we will prefer not to adopt him out to a family with little children. Porkchop is 4 yo and weighs 65 lb. He is fully vetted, and neutered. He is also chipped and heartworm negative. Porkchop is currently in Texas, and can travel to any state, and even Canada to the right home. To adopt our puppies, yards must be fully and adequately fenced. We do not accept invisible or electric fences. To meet this sweet pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application form via www.savesomesouls.com Porkchop's adoption fee of $400 includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, and Harness. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. If, after meeting a pup, the foster parent or the adoption applicant do not feel they are a good fit for each other, we often offer other pups who are better fit. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued from our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank You for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

Story
Cocoa is an 11-month-old pup with the gentlest, most loving soul. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and people-oriented, and she truly just wants to be close to her humans. Whether she’s cuddling on the couch, following you around the house, or greeting you with happy tail wags, Cocoa makes every day brighter. Cocoa and her sister Cypress were brought to a high-kill shelter in Houston, where they were at risk simply for being unwanted. Thankfully, both girls were rescued and are now safe and thriving in a foster home in Amarillo. They can be adopted together or separately — both would do wonderfully in a loving forever home. Cocoa has a wonderful temperament and an easygoing, friendly nature that makes her a joy to have around. She gets along well with other dogs and would be a perfect fit for a family or an individual looking for a loyal best friend. She is smart, eager to please, and already showing what a well-mannered and devoted companion she will become. Cocoa is 45 lb, fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative and kept on proheart — she is healthy, vetted, and ready to go home. Cocoa truly is a dream puppy — full of love, sweetness, and charm — and she is ready to find a forever family where she can be cherished for life. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving, and devoted companion, Cocoa is your girl. 🤍🐶 Her adoption fee of $350 includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality Harness and Interstate Health Certificate for our out of state adopters. She is being fostered in Amarillo, Texas, but can travel to many states and even Canada for the right home. Yards, if any, MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. To meet this sweet pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application form via www.savesomesouls.com Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. We need the parents to be patient and compassionate towards the changes that these pups are undergoing, being taken away from a home they came to know as their own to a new environment. 3-3-3 Rule of Adoption must be followed at all times to make adoption successful. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Story
**Currently fostered in Houston Texas but is available for out of state adoption via rescue transportation. Virtual meet and greet offered prior to adoption commitment** Kyra is a happy go lucky pup who found herself abandoned on the streets. She was emaciated, had poor skin and just full of worms. Thankfully an amazing woman found her and took her in. She got her clean, well fed, and fully vetted. Now, Kyra is ready to start the next chapter in her adventure! Kyra is just over 2 years old, and is a total hambone of a dog. We believe she is some kind of pitbull, retriever, hound mix. Basically what we call, a Texas Street Special! Whatever her breed, she is all adventure pup and very eager for life. Kyra loves people, I don't think she could ever meet a stranger. She's extremely loving, and enjoys cuddles on the couch, giving kisses, and looking cute for treats! We think she would even do wonderfully with children. Kyra has done wonderful with other dogs as well. She is fantastic at her doggie daycare, does well at dog parks, and loves to play. She doesn't mind the cats, She does chase them at times when she just wants to play. Kyra is not an aggressive dog, but she can lack the meaning of personal space and some of the cats we've introduced her to have not taken kindly to that. We think she could do well in just about any home, however, she would prefer to have regular play mates that can keep up with her be it siblings or play mates from friends, neighbors or daycare environment. She just wants to enjoy life with someone! Kyra does very well with training, mostly due to the fact that she's so smart. She learns quickly, and at times, can be TOO smart. Like how she knows how to push the door open if it's not latched properly. She knows her basics such as sit, kennel, stay. Her only need for training is working on her impulse control. She is fully crate trained, and is doing fantastic with her leash training. She is housebroken, but being such a big pup still, we suggest using a kennel until fully acclimated. Though she quite enjoys cuddling in the bed or couch. Kyra is fully vetted, meaning she is current on all vaccinations and preventions. She is spayed as well as microchipped too. For more information on how to adopt Kyra, contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com.
