Story
Hannah Bea is the happiest girl, despite the fact she’s been in shelters and boarding for almost a year now!! This wonderful girl deserves a loving home of her own. Even though she has lived in these types of environments for so long, Hannah is always such a friendly girl. She is wonderful with every person she meets and she holds no grudges that she doesn’t have her own people. She will happily go on walks and give affection to anyone that will spend time with her. She loves to go on car rides whenever she can. And even though she’s sometimes a little stiff, she eagerly goes hiking, too. She can be an exuberant girl when she meets new people, with her wiggly little bob-tail and leaning in for affection. You’d never know she is 8-9yrs old! She is a very social, 73lb girl that appears to be a boxer / shepherd maybe lab mix. Whatever her breed, she really is an exceptional girl that deserves a loving family and soft bed of her own. She gets along great with all other dogs and loves to have play dates, but she doesn’t need a playmate in the home. She is not a fan of the kitties though, so no cats, please. Even though she’s a bit of an older gal, she is healthy as can be. She would love to be included on lots of outdoor activities. Hanging out in a large fenced yard of her own would be wonderful, too. She adores children but because she is powerful and can be very wiggly, kids must be over 10yrs old.  If you would like to meet this wonderful girl waiting for her forever home please email infor@k9rr.org and include your phone number.May 30, 2023, 8:50 pm

3wk foster needed, until his scheduled neuter surgery. He will then be available for adoption. His foster home will have first option to adopt.Carson is such a nice boy! He is approx 2yrs old and weighs just under 60lbs. He is a typical friendly, wiggly Boxer that would love to have someone take him jogging and hiking. Long walks are a favorite, too. He is a very social boy and enjoys meeting new people so a socially active home would be ideal. He’s great with other animals, too, but he’d love to be the only dog in the home. Carson is great with kids but he does still need more manners so kids must be over 10yrs old. A Boxer experienced home would be best. He must have a 6ft, securely fenced yard. During foster, all supplies are provided. If you could consider fostering Carson for 3 weeks please email info@k9rr.org and include your phone numberMay 30, 2023, 8:50 pm

Story
Lua is a boxer mix that was rescued from the streets of Mexico. She is approximately two years old, she is spayed and her vaccinations are up to date. She currently lives with two cats and two dogs. Her temperament is docile in groups, somewhat shy in new spaces, very sweet, active and very good with puppies and children. Lua is an amazing dog, I really love her. I am looking for a responsible, active and loving home for her.

Story
We adopted Opie when he was just under a year old. We have two kids (1 and 3 years old), so we made sure Opie was good with kids before we adopted him. He has been great with the kids. We have had him for about 6 months. We found he needs a lot of exercise. We live in the city and both work. With two kids to take care of as well, we found that too often Opie's exercise fell to the bottom of the priority list. With a walk or run each day, Opie is relaxed and loving. If he goes for a few days without it, he starts to get very energetic in the house. He is house trained if he is let out regularly and stays away from people food. I said he wasn't house trained in the profile because he has a way of finding his way into the toddler's food and then will have an accident in the house. If he sticks to hard kibbles, there are no issues with house training. We just found that we aren't giving Opie the attention he needs. We are not in a rush and want to find him the right home.

Story
Welcome Rosie to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 3-year-old Boxer mixed dog. She has had a home since she was a few months old. She loved her home and her mom loved her. Some unfortunate circumstances happened and her human mom had to move to an apartment. They wouldn’t allow Boxers so she had to give Rosie up. We are sad for Rosie but we love this dog. She is good with other dogs and has already bonded to Troy. She is being fostered by Troy who has some misfits that were never adopted. They are wonderful dogs with Troy and they love their life but if Rosie can get along with them, she is a great dog. She is potty trained and good on a leash. She is good with other dogs and lives with a cat named Sam. She is currently in Cottage Grove OR and she awaits her forever home. Someone who has had a Boxer would be great. She has the adorable and sweet temperament of the Boxer breed. She is about 45 pounds and is full grown. She can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Miku to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year-old Boxer mix. She really loves her crate and had a home until some very unfortunate circumstances hit her family. They had to surrender Miku. She lived in an all woman home. She is shy of men but the nice thing is our kennel workers are both men so she will learn to love them. A quieter home would be best. She is a mannerly girl and a little timid. Someone gentle and kind that is willing to allow her to get comfortable. She seems to have been kept mostly at home so the easiest placement would be for her to have an all woman home. She would love to be more of a home body dog over the social butterfly types. A moderate to lower active person is fine. She is very chill and relaxed. Kids would be fine. We would like them to be older so they are less rambunctious like maybe 10 or older. She is very used to her crate and looks to it for comfort. A gentle and kind man would be fine. She is lower on the shed scale. She weighs about 45 pounds and is a good weight. She does not have a cropped tail. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 250 and transport is 180. Story
Klint is a 6-7 year-old boxer/bully mix weighing around 60 lbs. He has tons of personality which makes him so much fun to be around. Klint’s favorite things include having “his” humans call his name to get his attention (he’ll RUN to meet you wherever you are), playing fetch, and eating cheese. He loves going for walks, curling up for long naps on rainy days, and thinks that Dick’s hamburgers might be the best food in the world. Klint’s ideal home would have a fenced in backyard where he can stretch, lie in the sun, and keep on the lookout for squirrels and birds. He also loves a good back scratch on dry grass! He’s been living with a foster family, where he’s impressed them with his good behavior, loving demeanor, and manners. He’s also shown to be incredibly smart, learning quickly what’s expected of him in the household. He needs to be the only pet and has reacted in the past with other animals. Given his energy level, he’d do best in a house without small children or frequent visitors/strangers. Unfortunately, Klint has been bounced in and out of a few homes as they didn't have time for him, leaving him alone for 12-13 hours per day. Due to this, he is a dog that does not want to be left alone for long periods of time and prefers a family that will give him the time and attention he deserves. Klint was mistreated by a man previously and now can be a bit apprehensive around new men. He may take a while to warm up to new people, but once he trusts them, he’s all in. Klint is neutered, UTD on his shots and micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $200.00.

Story
Cody is a 5 - 6 year old Boxer mix who is looking for a loving, active and structured forever home! He is sweet but had a rough beginning so will need a rescue experienced home that will help him build trust, learn basic obedience and gain confidence. He will bond to his people and loves attention and affection. He loves treats and is glad to work for them! He has not had a lot of training so will need support with continued basic obedience. He is looking for a home that is adult only or with kids over the age of 16. He will thrive in a home where he can be active, he loves to run around, go for walks, and would make an excellent outdoor activity partner. Cody can do well with other dogs but it is always best to do proper introductions to make sure it is a good match and that all parties 'mesh'. Cody would do best in a home with a large fenced yard where he can run, roam and play. Cody is UTD on shots, has had a dental, is microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Say hello to sweet and spunky Cleo! She came to us from a high kill shelter in CA with her sister. She is a Boxer/Shepherd mix, 5 months old and currently 20lbs. We estimate she will be between 30-45lbs full grown. Cleo is your typical puppy, and has lots of fun and playful energy. She will need an active family, that will give her proper activity and work on basic puppy training needs. Cleo is great with other dogs and very playful. She would do well with another dog in the time, or fine as an only dog with continued socialization. She is not tested with cats. Cleo is spayed, UTD on shots and microchipped. Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ruby is a rescue from Paws. She is 6, calm and loving, enjoys human companionship, loves to ride in the car, rolls on her back to have her feet wiped off, rings bells on my sliding door to let me know she needs/wants to go out, to let me know her water dish is empty, or thinks I have missed her dinner time. She has gone through training and does well walking on a loose leash, responding to owner cues most of the time but can still become focused on prey such as squirrels and will want to pursue. On leash, she does well in the presence of a dog she has met but can be unpredictable off leash. She can be anxious when people are near her food and may guard it. Ruby has some dog friends that she plays with, and though she loves to chase & be chased, she is not a good candidate for a dog park because her excitement can tip into aggression. She is frightened by thunder and fireworks though calms with music.

I'm a fast sprinter and I love to hunt for small critters outside and chase soccer balls!I'm a sensitive soul with a gaze that will turn any frown upside down. Once I trust you, I'm very affectionate and great at giving kisses (or cleaning your ears if they need that)! I know some cool tricks, because I'm a smart pooch and learning is fun! I prefer to go places with you, but I've gotten pretty comfortable staying by myself, and I've never scratched doors or chewed on furniture.Sometimes strange things startle me, so a calm home would be my first choice. I have made great progress, though, and want to continue that work with my forever family. Story
Meri is in a foster home and is currently not at the shelter. Please find info below on how to adopt her, thanks. Are you looking for a super smart, super fun and super loving companion? Meet Meri. Her favorite things in life are people to play with and treats (ideally, people with treats!). She really loves her people and is very attuned to them (watch her tilt her head as you speak to make sure she hears your every word!). Meri is house-trained and well behaved in the home and has no problem being left alone when you go out. When she is home with you, she is very playful, loves her toys and is quick to solve food puzzles-she likes any activity that keeps her mind engaged. Meri knows the names of each of her favorite toys and will find the right one when you ask her (and is very good at finding them when you hide them in the house!). Meri can get overstimulated out on walks, but that's okay--she is happy getting her exercise running around your fenced yard to catch a ball mid-air, and sniff all there is to sniff. She will even "go potty" on command! If you are looking to hone your training skills, Meri is the perfect student! She is highly food motivated, so this makes training easy and fun. Check out Meri in action-she can be an agility star: https://youtu.be/g0UulP8HhzQShe already knows basic commands like sit, lie down, wait, off and touch, and she's learned polite behaviors such as lying down calmly while people eat and waiting at the door to exit. She is working on politely greeting new people she meets. Meri will do best as the only pet in a calm environment with adults and maybe older kids (she can be too wiggly and strong for little ones). A fenced yard where she can play would be ideal. She will thrive in a home where she can get all the love and attention she deserves. Come meet this special girl.Meri is eligible for post-adoption training, as well as a reduced adoption fee. She's on social media too!
