Story
Meet Ollie! He's an adorable 2 yr old Shih Tzu/ Lhasa Apso boy looking for a foster and forever home. Ollie is a happy, healthy young dog rescued from a neglect situation. He has the most adorable underbite, and makes the cutest expressions. Ollie is loving, but takes time to trust. He would do great with another small dog to play with. Ollie still has some puppy energy, so needs someone who has time to play with him and keep him active. Ollie is smart and like all young dogs, would benefit from additional training and socialization. He's house trained, curious and attentive. He takes a little time to warm up to new people, but is very affectionate once he does. Ollie is healthy, neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. He is a very good boy. No first time dog owners or small children. If you live in Southern California, please complete our adoption application found on dexterfoundation.com

Story
If you have ever wondered what an angel in fur looks like, look no further than Coquette. So sweet and petite, Coquette weighs 9-lbs (she has gained 3-lbs since being pulled from the shelter) and is approximately 14-years old. She was very sick with pneumonia and was hospitalized for a month, but she is out of the hospital and is thriving in her foster home. Coquette gets along with dogs, cats and kids, and her favorite thing to do is sleep. She also loves to eat and to snuggle. She is very quiet and ever so special. Coquette currently requires supplements and subq fluids every few days for kidney disease. She also needs several lifelong eye medications. Coquette has a bladder stone which we will remove once she is stable enough. We are cuckoo for Coquette, and once you meet her you will be too. Coquette is spayed, up to date on shots, fully vetted, and microchipped. Adoption process includes application, interview, home visit, contract and donation. If you are interested in Coquette, please go to our website and fill out an application. Los Angeles and surrounding area adoptions only.

Story
Meet Earl 🤍 10-year-old Maltipoo | Good with dogs, kids & cats Earl is one of those dogs who wins hearts instantly. He has the funniest little personality and the sweetest way of connecting with his people. If you stop petting him too soon, he’ll gently nudge your hand as a reminder. When it’s time to cuddle, he patiently waits for an invitation before hopping onto your lap, curling up, and getting perfectly cozy. He tilts his head back and forth when you talk to him like he’s truly listening—and honestly, it feels like he understands every word. Earl is very dog-social and loves saying hello to every pup he meets. He’s just as friendly with people and happily accepts pets, snuggles, and being held by anyone willing to give him some love. Earl does great in the car, splitting his time between happily gazing out the window and relaxing in the passenger seat. He has impressive pep in his step for a 10-year-old and enjoys going on walks, but he’s just as content lounging beside his person and soaking up the moment. This sweet senior is the total package: gentle, social, affectionate, and endlessly charming. Earl is truly an amazing little pup and would make a perfect companion for someone looking for a loving best friend.

Story
📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. 🩷 Rescue Story Waltz was rescued from the Busan City Shelter. After leaving the shelter environment, she transitioned into foster care, where her thoughtful and expressive personality has become more visible with time and trust. 🌿 Temperament & Behavior Waltz prefers calm and respectful interactions. She does not like dogs that rush toward her suddenly. With polite, cautious dogs, she may occasionally greet and coexist peacefully, but she is selective about canine interactions. She is generally wary of cats and is not expected to coexist comfortably with them. With children and adults, she shows no aggression or dislike. When encountering people on walks, she tends to remain neutral and uninterested rather than reactive. 🚶 Walking & Daily Life Waltz follows an outdoor-focused potty routine. If she needs to go indoors, she reliably uses the bathroom area or a pee pad placed inside the bathroom. She does not have accidents elsewhere indoors. She enjoys walks and handles daily routines calmly and predictably. 🏡 Habits & Training Waltz enjoys being petted. Although she may be shy around unfamiliar people at first, once she receives a few gentle strokes, she warms up quickly and shows her affection—making soft, happy sounds and wagging her tail. She does not prefer close sleeping contact with people. Instead, she chooses to rest near her person’s feet or, after receiving enough affection, moves to her own preferred sleeping spot. She is smart and expressive, clearly communicating her needs, such as asking for pets or play. 💛 Likes & Personality Waltz enjoys gentle affection, playing fetch, and communicating with her people in her own clear, endearing way. She is independent yet emotionally expressive, offering affection on her own terms. She is currently living in a foster home. 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation Customs and export documentation Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Story
❗Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ Meet Haengsoon! Your Future Best Friend Haengsoon is an incredibly adaptable dog who quickly made herself at home in her foster environment. She’s the kind of dog who can just lay back and relax without a fuss. Haengsoon adores people and is full of affection, often following her human around like a little shadow. While she’s not a fan of other dogs, she’s been well-trained with basic commands like sit, stay, lie down, come, no, and paw. She’s already accustomed to wearing a harness and enjoys grooming sessions, including brushing. Haengsoon has no interest in trash or human food, so you won't have to worry about her getting into mischief. Though she does shed a bit, her potty training is flawless—she knows how to use both the bathroom and pee pads perfectly. Haengsoon absolutely loves her walks and is always excited to go outside. She’s also a quiet companion who doesn’t bark when the doorbell rings or when people come inside. However, she may occasionally bark briefly if she hears sudden noises outside the door. Haengsoon isn’t a fan of having her nails trimmed, but she doesn’t suffer from separation anxiety, making her an easy-going and independent dog.
