Meet XiXi! She is a 5 year old, 16 lb Shih Tzu mix. XiXi is so sweet and friendly. She's a very easy girl. XiXi is calm and mellow, is house trained, and walks well on a leash. She does well with all people and other dogs. When we rescued XiXi, she had a very bad skin infection that we are working on clearing up. The doctor thinks she has an underlying allergy that caused this infection, so we are finding which food works best for her. She's healing nicely, but still has a ways to go. Because of this allergy, she currently gets chronic ear infections, but hopefully once we can avoid the allergy, these will stop. She takes eye drops for dry eye. She is a total sweetheart, and a mellow, easy and loving pup.

Bentley is an adorable 9 year young shih tzu mix who weighs 17 pounds.   He is a sweet dog who greets everyone he meets with a wagging tail and enthusiasm.  Bentley loves to sunbathe as well as go for walks.  He loves to play fetch. This little guy is no couch potato!  Bentley loves to cuddle but also has an independent side to him and is content to do his own thing although he likes being in the same room as his person.  Bentley is a good watchdog and will bark at people if he sees them going by while he's in the house.  He has some diminished vision in one eye but the other one is fine and he has no problem with navigating around.  Just like all of us older folks, Bentley has some stiffness in his back leg which he takes some oral anti-inflammatories for.   Bentley has had a vet checkup including blood work, urinalysis and teeth cleaning.  He's in great health and ready for his forever home.  If interested, please fill out the application on the website, bichonsandbuddies.com.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 19, 2024, 5:18 pm

Sweet with a good mix of calm and fun...Thats our Chloe! Chloe is a 6/7 year old, female, Lhasa/Shih Tzu mix that is about 17lbs. This pretty girl was rescued from a hoarding situation where 17 dogs were kept in covered crates 22 hours a day. We got all 17 dogs out, some went to our rescue partners and we held onto 5 of them. Chloe is an amazing dog who is so sweet and friendly with people...not one bit of aggression. She is a little selective with dogs, but does have a best friend that she could be adopted with her best friend Tali, a 3 year old, 16lb Maltese mix. We will possibly consider adopting Chloe out as an "only" dog if we feel it's the right home with owners that are home most of the day and will continue socializing her with other dogs frequently. She is great on leash and a good eater. She loves affection, but is not needy and would be fine with children 12 years old and older. She does require a cytopoint (allergy) shot as needed which is usually ever 2-3 months and she does require full grooming every 6 weeks, so that should be taken into consideration when inquiring. Chloe has been through a lot and we promised her that we would find her the best and most loving forever home out there! Chloe is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. We only adopt in the Greater Los Angeles Areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required.
