MEET LUNA....a precious, special needs 4yr old (DOB 7/4/22), tan-with-black-tips, 12 lb Shih Tzu mix, who sadly had to be given up for financial reasons.
When Luna was brought into this world she was very loved by her family. She was an adorable, normal, healthy, puppy, whom they treasured. Unfortunately, unforeseen medical maladies, and a horrible economy, has forced them to make the difficult decision to relinquish Luna to us for rehoming. They just were unable to handle normal vetting costs and they wanted her to have the life she deserves.
Despite her challenges, Luna is a pip!! She has IVDD, a disc disease that is under control, but we are investigating treatment possibilities. She is not paralyzed (please watch her video!), she gets along great with her wheels and she can potty on her own!! She also had pyometra (an often-deadly uterine infection) and immediately underwent surgery and has recovered nicely. She is a young, otherwise healthy adult pup who is a sweetheart, a joy to be around, gives kisses and looks at you with those big brown eyes and you cant say no to her no matter what! She is fine with other dogs but really becomes attached to her humans and demonstrates what real love is.
The ideal home for Luna will definitely have a yard and time to give her the attention she deserves. She practically flies with her wheels and loves her walks! Luna may have special needs...but she is special indeed and deserves the best life ever. Can you give it to her? She wont cause any trouble, she promises!
Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID

Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Our event is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring pictures or video of your home and yard if we have not done a home check (preferred)! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
