This 2 year old Shih Tzu–terrier mix has the biggest heart, loves other dogs, and radiates gratitude, warmth, and pure joy. Neutered, fully vetted, and packed with personality, Scooter will make you laugh daily with his quirky charm and melt you with his sweetness. Come meet this beautiful boy. One visit and you’ll wonder how life ever existed without him. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Meet Ollie! He's an adorable 2 yr old Shih Tzu/ Lhasa Apso boy looking for a foster and forever home. Ollie is a happy, healthy young dog rescued from a neglect situation. He has the most adorable underbite, and makes the cutest expressions. Ollie is loving, but takes time to trust. He would do great with another small dog to play with. Ollie still has some puppy energy, so needs someone who has time to play with him and keep him active. Ollie is smart and like all young dogs, would benefit from additional training and socialization. He's house trained, curious and attentive. He takes a little time to warm up to new people, but is very affectionate once he does. Ollie is healthy, neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. He is a very good boy. I'm a foodie, love to be cozy, and also enjoy short walks as well as walks in the stroller! I love being around people and enjoying the finer things in life. PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION INTRODUCING DOLBY….and another tragic story to report 🙁 At 12 lbs, 4 yrs old and tri colored, this very special Shih Tzu boy was given to a good Samaritan who took him because she wanted to keep him out of the shelter when his humans were moving. She was told he had a hernia…but in fact it was a testicular tumor. He had never been neutered and the tumor grew to be the size of a baseball before she handed him over to us — never disclosing this information. We got him to our vet and were very worried initially — how such a sweet, easygoing, loving dog could end up this way. GOOD NEWS while the tumor was malignant, it was the type that the oncologist says doesn’t metastasize, so the cancer was gone! We have done a needle biopsy to clear the lymph nodes and everything was negative — which for us was very positive! Dolby’s foster reports that he is one of the easiest going pups he has ever experienced and is a joy to be around. He was playing voraciously with his foster buddy despite the fact that he had an abdomen full of stitches from his surgery! They are still working on his potty training but report he is getting it! He is not hyper but loves to play…not super interested in toys at this point. Loves belly rubs as all dogs do…and is a super kissy lover! He is not yappy or barky but will say hello to the other dogs walking on the street! Not an aggressive bone in his body. Because of his fantastic nature, he could probably go into almost any home – but preferably one with another dog and a family who will cherish him. He is very people and dog oriented and whomever adopts him will be bringing in a wonderful family member. Does that sound like you? He will not be available until the beginning of November.
