Chance is a lovable 3-year-old Chihuahua/Shih Tzu mix with a heart as big as his sweet personality. Chance has a head tremor caused by a congenital cerebellar lesion, but it doesn’t slow him down at all. , This was confirmed by a neurology consultation. He’s a happy, affectionate little guy who enjoys life at a relaxed, low-to-moderate energy pace—happy to play a little, go on short walks, or just curl up for cuddles and quiet companionship. He is house-trained and crate-trained, gets along beautifully with dogs, kids, and cats, and greets everyone he meets with warmth and friendliness. Chance is looking for a loving forever home where he can share his gentle, loyal heart every single day. Chance is currently undergoing treatments for heartworm disease. Until he has completed his treatments and is fully recovered, Chance is available for adoption only in the Atlanta area; He must be able to come to Furkids' shelter for treatments. Meet Dycen! Dycen is a 7-year-old Shih Tzu with a big personality and an even bigger heart—once he’s in the right environment. This senior boy was surrendered to the county shelter before coming to us, and while he hasn’t quite shown his best manners here (he’s made it clear he’s not a fan of the shelter life!), we know he’ll shine once he’s comfortable in a calm, loving home. Dycen gets along well with dogs of all sizes and would do best in a quiet household with older children or teens who understand how to respect his space. He’s housetrained and already knows several commands—Sit, Down, Come, Wait, and Stay—though he could use a little refresher on leash manners since he tends to pull when excited and jumps on people. Dycen just needs someone patient who can see past his stress and give him the time and love he deserves. Kiwi was born 5/30/25. She is sweet and sassy, a perfect little girl! She is friendly and social with everyone. She likes playing with her toys. She is great with older children. She needs work on housetraining. She is smart and catches on quickly. Adoption fee is 950.00. Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Family members did step in to try to give Tommy a loving home, but having health issues of their own they found themselves overwhelmed and realized Tommy deserved more than they could provide. So they made the selfless decision to surrender him to RMG and allow him to find a family where he could go on to live his best life! Tommy is great with all dogs and cats. He’s the perfect combination of playful and cuddly, making him such a great little guy. Tommy is, however, “pleasantly plump” so we are looking for an active family who will help him meet his fitness goals so he can live a long and healthy life! Say Hello to Edith, the Ewok - the cutest, sweetest girl around! Edith is about 7-8 years and just over 20 lbs. She’s very chill and happy to lay on her favorite bed most of the day…but 2-3 times a day she gets all excited and jumps around and spins in circles. It is the cutest thing you’ve ever seen! Edith does have a heart murmur so has to have a pill twice a day but if you put with her food, she’ll just eat it right up. She also has a dry eye condition that clouds her vision a bit and requires once a day eye wipe and drops. However she gets around so well and doesn’t let it stop her. Her foster mom had her yard completely dug up for a few months and she navigated it perfectly. Edith is currently living with several dogs (big and small) and cats and does well with all. She would do best in a house without super rambunctious dogs but seems to like the company of another dog and definitely loves humans. She’s a one of a kind!
