When she was abandoned, Foxy Rue came to us with an infected uterus, heartworm positive, neglected dental hygiene, mammary tumors, and painful skin infections. But with the incredible care from *Angels Among Us*, Foxy Rue has made a fantastic recovery! She's had a full dental cleaning, her mammary tumors have been removed. and her hair has grown back. We are waiting on the results of her tumor removal, and once cleared, she will need a follow-up with our vet to confirm her heartworms are gone. Foxy Rue is a quiet and cuddly companion who loves lounging and snuggling. She enjoys curling up in her dog bed and is fully potty-trained. However, she is stressed when in her crate, so she’d do best in a home where she can have the freedom to relax in her own space. We believe she would enjoy going for walks but have not been able to test this due to her recovery. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Several years ago a good samaritan in Nashville saved me, I was running down the road. She took me in for 3 years, but couldn't afford to take me to the vet. I developed skin and ear issues so she reached out for someone to take me, and here I am getting the health care I need and responding very well. Yes I'm mostly blind, but I'm a gentle fellow that enjoys being petted. I could spend the day sitting on a lap being company and enjoying a persons company. I'm quiet and I would be fine in a small home with a small fenced yard because I love to sit in the sun and snooze.

I came from a backyard breeder in Cartersville. They didn’t want me any more so Act2Pups stepped up and rescued me. I was just a number, I didn’t have a name. I hadn’t been to see a vet and was totally confused to be out of a wire cage. I was allowed to decompress and in a week I was coming out of my shell. All my teeth were rotten so I had them all removed, but I do fine eating wet food. I’ve come a long way and I’m doing great. I’m a sweet gentle fellow that needs a home that will understand what my life was like for so many years.

It appears that I spent a great deal of time on my own. When I was rescued I had mats on my mats and it took hours to clean me up. My photos are now, and a before and after grooming shortly after rescue. I can tell you that I NEVER WANT TO BE NEGLECTED AGAIN, grooming was so painful I screamed. I’m fine with other rescue pups and I’m getting better every day. I hope to be someone's princess soon.
