    Meet  Cassie Quinn , an 8-year-old Shih Tzu, 15-pound bundle of joy who brightens every room she enters! This happy girl is always smiling—she grins with her whole face and keeps her tongue out like she’s posing for a photo. Her joy is contagious, and she’ll fill your home with love and laughter. Cassie adores being outside, going for walks, and running playful laps around the house during her daily zoomies. A fenced yard or plenty of indoor space to romp around would make her happiest. She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys both leisurely strolls and bursts of playful energy. When it’s time to relax, Cassie loves lounging on her pet bed. She’s crate trained and sometimes tucks herself in at night, though she’s perfectly fine sleeping outside her crate too. Cassie is pee-pad trained and working on transitioning back to going potty outdoors. She gets along well with small and medium dogs and previously lived with two Shih Tzus. Cassie would also be happy as an only dog, as long as someone is home most of the time—she craves company and can be quite vocal when left alone. Because of that, she’s best suited for a single-family home (no apartments or townhouses, please). Cassie is friendly with men, women, and kids of all ages, though she’s a bit shy at first and needs a moment to warm up. She’s best with families or active seniors who enjoy walks but can assist her with stairs—she manages short step-downs fine but can’t climb full flights. Health-wise, she recently had a small skin infection that was treated (the vet had to shave the area), and she’ll soon have a dental cleaning, likely with a few teeth removed. One of her back legs sticks out a little when she squats, but it doesn’t slow her down at all. Cassie Quinn is a cheerful, affectionate companion who’s ready to share her endless smiles with a loving family—her happiness truly shines from the inside out! Kiwi was born 5/30/25. She is sweet and sassy, a perfect little girl! She is friendly and social with everyone. She likes playing with her toys. She is great with older children. She needs work on housetraining. She is smart and catches on quickly. Adoption fee is 950.00. Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a  $20.00  donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Meet Tommy!  Looking for a workout partner to help you meet your fitness goals in the New Year? So is Tommy! Tommy is a 5 yr old Shih Tzu whose human mom passed away about a year ago. Family members did step in to try to give Tommy a loving home, but having health issues of their own they found themselves overwhelmed and realized Tommy deserved more than they could provide. So they made the selfless decision to surrender him to RMG and allow him to find a family where he could go on to live his best life! Tommy is great with all dogs and cats. He’s the perfect combination of playful and cuddly, making him such a great little guy. Tommy is, however, “pleasantly plump” so we are looking for an active family who will help him meet his fitness goals so he can live a long and healthy life! Say Hello to Edith, the Ewok - the cutest, sweetest girl around!    Edith is about 7-8 years and just over 20 lbs. She’s very chill and happy to lay on her favorite bed most of the day…but 2-3 times a day she gets all excited and jumps around and spins in circles. It is the cutest thing you’ve ever seen!    Edith does have a heart murmur so has to have a pill twice a day but if you put with her food, she’ll just eat it right up. She also has a dry eye condition that clouds her vision a bit and requires once a day eye wipe and drops. However she gets around so well and doesn’t let it stop her. Her foster mom had her yard completely dug up for a few months and she navigated it perfectly.     Edith is currently  living with several dogs (big and small) and cats and does well with all. She would do best in a house without super rambunctious dogs but seems to like the company of another dog and definitely loves humans.
