Story

My dog is 12 years old will be 13 in November. She is a sweetheart and loves to get some rubs. She doesnt bark or make any noise for that matter since Ive had her. I have had her for 11 years and over the years unfortunately she went blind. She doesn’t go on walks because she doesn’t like leashes, I let her walk around by herself in my yard. She needs more attention now that she is getting older and takes a little longer with going to the bathroom. She is potty trained and sleeps in bed with me but I just dont have time to watch her as much as needed anymore.

Story

Meet Beverly! Beverly is a 4 year old, 8 lb Shih Tzu/Pekingese mix (we think) with a big personality in a tiny package! Once she picks her person, she’s fiercely loyal and wants nothing more than to be by their side, snuggling on the couch or keeping them company. Beverly is quite the chatterbox and isn’t shy about voicing her opinions! A home without shared walls would be best, and her adopter should be prepared to help her learn when it’s appropriate to speak up. She prefers relaxing with her person over long walks or big adventures, though she’s starting to show interest in toys. She also tends to stay close when outside. Beverly bonds closely with her person and can be protective around other dogs and occasionally people. She may do best as the only dog, where she can soak up all the love and attention, but if you're patient with her, she can live with other dogs. She’ll also need patience and consistency as she continues working on house training. If you’re looking for a devoted little shadow with a big voice and an even bigger heart, Beverly may be your girl! To adopt her, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $400, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, heartworm testing, and dental cleaning.

Story

Say Hello to Edith, the Ewok - the cutest, sweetest girl around! Edith is about 7-8 years and just over 20 lbs. She’s very chill and happy to lay on her favorite bed most of the day…but 2-3 times a day she gets all excited and jumps around and spins in circles. It is the cutest thing you’ve ever seen! Edith does have a heart murmur so has to have a pill twice a day but if you put with her food, she’ll just eat it right up. She also has a dry eye condition that clouds her vision a bit and requires once a day eye wipe and drops. However she gets around so well and doesn’t let it stop her. Her foster mom had her yard completely dug up for a few months and she navigated it perfectly. Edith is currently living with several dogs (big and small) and cats and does well with all. She would do best in a house without super rambunctious dogs but seems to like the company of another dog and definitely loves humans. She’s a one of a kind! Story

Meet Barley! Barley is feeling like a new man!! Barley was a hot mess when we rescued him several weeks ago! Not only was he under socialized and scared of the world, but he definitely had never been groomed in his entire one year of life. Now after a few weeks of TLC and confidence building, not to mention a full shave down, Barley is a happy and playful guy ready to find his forever home! Barley is a Shih Tzu mix weighing in at right around 15 lbs. He’s already a year old, so he is fully grown. This amazing little guy is great with other dogs, cats, and kids! He’s looking for a home with at least one other playful dog around his size and a person who is home most of the time. Barley bonds to his people quickly and loves them beyond measure, so a stay at home parent or someone who works from home would be perfect for him! Lastly, Barley does need a securely fenced yard - his leash skills are most definitely a work in progress. Interested in adopting Barley? Eedy

Story

Meet Eedy! We rescued Eedy back in May 2025 from a metro area shelter and it’s taken this long (and a lot of TLC) to get her ready for adoption! Severe upper respiratory infection; malnutrition; skin infection….this poor girl had it all when she came to us. But as you can see from the pictures, she’s a new woman now! It’s extremely difficult to guess age on dogs that have been neglected as much as poor Eedy has throughout her lifetime, but we’re going with somewhere between 9-11 years old. She definitely acts like she is on the lower end of that age range now that she’s feeling so so much better. Eedy is great with other dogs and cats, but does have a more dominant personality and so will do best with other confident dogs. Eedy is on some medications that she will likely require for life - thyroid medicine and apoquel. Interested in adopting Eedy and showing her that the best is yet to come in her Golden Years? Story

Meet Munchkin! She is an adorable 1-year-old Shih Tzu! She weighs a little over 8 pounds. Munchkin came to us after being found as a stray and never being reclaimed. Munchkin is a curious, sweet little girl. She warmed up quickly in her foster home, and enjoys all of the adults and teenagers she has met so far. Munchkin is the perfect combination of playful and snuggly. She loves to play fetch, but prefers to break it up into a few shorter sessions each day. In between rounds of fetch, she is happy to follow her person around, or curl up and nap (preferably with a fuzzy blanket). Munchkin could be an only dog, but would also be thrilled to have one or more playful dog siblings in her forever home. Munchkin is fascinated by birds, and likes to spend time outside watching them. She would be a great companion for neighborhood walks. More than anything, this little girl just wants a home where she can be with her people as they move about their day. If you’re looking for an adorable little companion, Munchkin might just be your girl! 💕 ********** Munchkin will come to you already spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
