These seven pups were brought to one of our partners as an unwanted litter after their family could no longer care for them. These puppies are friendly, smart, and eager to please. They have started leash training and are doing very well. During their time with us, they have gotten along great with our staff, volunteers, and other dogs. They co-house peacefully and enjoy both playtime and settling in for quiet moments.Two of the pups recently attended an adoption event and absolutely loved meeting new people—they soaked up the attention and handled the busy environment beautifully.They would do well in an active home, with a yard to explore, or with families that have older children. Meet Zeppelin! This handsome butterscotch buddy is about 2.5 years old as of 12/25. He was originally purchased for a specific type of training, but as he matured, it was evident that he didn't have the confidence required for such a job. He is better suited as a house dog and companion. His best friend is our cattle dog mix, Toast, and we would love for them to go to a home together. Meet Connor, named after Connor Bedard from the Chicago Blackhawks, and this little guy is already skating toward superstardom. Connor brings heart, hustle, and a whole lot of personality to every shift. Though he’s the smallest of his litter, he plays big with a mighty, affectionate spirit that’s impossible not to cheer for.Right about 2 months old, Connor is a sweet, athletic pup who looks to his humans for direction and loves to “talk” when he’s excited—especially at mealtime or when he wants to be close. He’s submissive, gentle, and loves everyone equally. He enjoys being held, cuddling on laps, and curling up for naps (often with his brother, Tyler), but he’d happily trade the bench for snuggles with his people any day.This rookie is already showing strong fundamentals: he loves to run and play outside, fetches balls and toys, and was fearless tackling stairs—no hesitation, full send. House training is in progress, and because he eats slower than his brother, he’s fed separately so he can take his time and thrive. He’s also getting used to everyday noises like the vacuum with calm curiosity (a little backup, then straight to his crate—smart play).With his adorable curly whiskers, loving nature, and eager-to-please attitude, Connor is the full package: funny, loyal, athletic, and endlessly affectionate.
