Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Moe is a handsome Standard Poodle with a gentle soul and the sweetest, most easygoing personality. He is truly a dream companion who loves nothing more than being with his people. Whether he’s relaxing on the couch soaking up pets, playing with friends at the dog park, joining you for a walk, or curling up beside you at bedtime, Moe is happiest when he’s part of the action. Moe is an absolute love bug who genuinely wants to make his people happy. He forms strong bonds with his family and has the kind of loyal, affectionate nature that makes him feel like he’s always been yours. He loves squeaky balls, chewing on bones, enrichment activities, car rides, and spending time with the people and animals he loves. Moe is wonderfully well-mannered in many ways. He is fully potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, rides beautifully in the car, and knows several commands including sit, come, down, shake, outside, potty, and even car ride. If you’re heading out for an adventure, Moe would be thrilled to tag along. He enjoys riding with his people and is content relaxing in the car while waiting for them. Moe gets along beautifully with people, other dogs, and even cats. While he enjoys canine companionship, he does not require another dog in his future home as long as his people are around most of the time. He can occasionally be protective of toys around other dogs, but overall he is social, friendly, and loves having friends to play with. Moe is comfortable being crated when needed, though he would much rather be with his family. One area where he will need continued support is his separation anxiety. Moe has a fear of being left behind and may bark or pace when left alone. His foster family has begun working on building his confidence, but his future family should be prepared to continue helping him learn that being alone is safe. Because of this, he would thrive in a home where someone is home much of the time or where he can accompany his people on many of their adventures. Moe has also experienced some mild tummy sensitivity and is currently doing well on a gentle diet. His future family should simply be mindful of maintaining a diet that agrees with him. Moe is the kind of dog who will fill your days with companionship, laughter, and unconditional love. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who wants nothing more than to be by your side through life’s adventures, Moe may be the perfect match for you.   Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
Hi, I’m Mikko — a 4-year-old Standard Poodle with a big heart, sharp nose, and lots of potential. I’m house-trained, crate-trained, neutered, and calm and polite in the home. I’m a sensitive, loyal guy who takes a little time to warm up, but once I trust you, I’m all in (and yes — I give excellent full-body hugs).I had upland hunting training and still have strong instincts. I love following scent and have a high prey drive, so I’m not a fit for homes with small animals or livestock. A securely fenced yard is a must.On leash, I can get overwhelmed by other dogs, but I do much better with space and structure. I’d thrive with an experienced, active owner who can give me guidance, consistency, and a job.I’m looking for a calm, patient home and a gradual introduction so we can build trust. If you’re looking for a smart, driven, and loyal companion, I’d love to meet you.🐩 Mikko

Story
Hi, I’m Stevie!I’m about 1 year old and weigh 35 pounds. My life didn’t start out the way every dog hopes it will. My brother and I were brought to the vet to be euthanized—not because we were sick or had done anything wrong, but because we were no longer wanted. That was pretty scary, and I’m still learning that the world can be a safe place. But even after everything, I’ve kept my gentle and sweet personality. I love to cuddle with my people, play with my toys, and soak up all the love I can get.I’m looking for a family that will never give up on me—a family that will show me what it means to truly belong. I promise to repay you with lots of snuggles, loyalty, and unconditional love.Could you be the forever family I’ve been waiting for?--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Hey there — I’m Waldorf, but you can call me your new best friend! I’m a 10-year-young, 74-pound Doodle mix with a gentle soul and a PhD in napping. I’m looking for a relaxed, loving home where I can snooze the day away and shower my people with affection.I have lived my whole life with my brother, Winchester. I would love it if we could be adopted together! I’m sweet, polite, and well-mannered: house-trained, crate-trained, and I know “Kennel-up,” Sit, Stay, Leave-it, and Shake. My first night with my fosters? Bath time — no problem. I’m totally comfortable with grooming and my hair dries super quick.I’m a low-key gentleman who loves lounging on the couch or a cozy dog bed. When I met my 1-year-old foster brother, his puppy energy made me pause at first, but by day three we were pals — and we aced our group walk this morning! If you’ve got a calm home and a soft spot for a polite senior who gives lots of kisses and warm hugs, I’m ready to join your family.--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Hi! I’m Winchester — but you can call me Winny. I’m an 8-year-young, 57-pound Doodle mix, and I’m on a mission to be your next best friend.I have lived my whole life with my brother, Waldorf. I would love it if we could be adopted together! I’m a big softie who loves giving kisses and leaning in for warm hugs (I’m working on keeping all four paws on the floor — my foster family is helping me with that). Tennis balls are my jam, though I can be a little possessive with toys. I’m mellow and low-key: a good romp in the yard, a leisurely walk, then a cozy nap makes my day perfect.I’m house-trained and crate-trained, and I know “Kennel-up, Sit, Stay, Leave-it, and Shake" — I love learning! Truck rides make me so happy; I hopped into the back seat and enjoyed the views right away. Spa night? Yes please — I took my first bath like a champ and dry super fast. Treats and sweet words win my heart every time.I make friends fast — I bonded with my energetic 1-year-old foster brother in under 24 hours. If you want a gentle, well-mannered cuddle buddy who will fill your home with kisses and unconditional love, I’m ready to meet you.--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
**Currently Residing in a Foster Home.**I’m Merlin, a handsome 3-year-old grey Standard Poodle with a soft heart and a gentle soul. I was found as a stray, and when no one came to claim me, I made my way to Animal Ark to start fresh. I’m a sweetheart through and through. I am sensitive, smart, and eager to bond with someone who understands me. I do best in a calm home with adults or older teens (16+), where I can feel safe, loved, and appreciated for the loyal companion I’m ready to be. I may have had a mysterious beginning, but I’m hoping my next chapter is full of comfort, kindness, and a family who sees just how great I am.
