Ozzy is a sweet and loving 3.5 year old Saint Berdoodle. He had an unexpected addition to his family and with the new infant his owners do not have the time he deserves. He's a lover, especially to kids and mom, but defends the home and will bark at new people. In public, he does not bark at others. He has never been aggressive.He takes Prozac which helps separation anxiety, but likely would not need it if owners do not work long hours away from home.He joined us at 4 months of age and to our knowledge he has never been abused, but prefers females and children.He is anxious at the groomers, especially with his paws, but does well with a patient groomer. He was crate trained when he was young, but was extremely stressed by the crate and does much better with free reign of the house. He is great with kids, but is big (84lbs) and would do best with kids that are age 5 or older.

**Currently Residing in a Foster Home.**I’m Merlin, a handsome 3-year-old grey Standard Poodle with a soft heart and a gentle soul. I was found as a stray, and when no one came to claim me, I made my way to Animal Ark to start fresh. I’m a sweetheart through and through. I am sensitive, smart, and eager to bond with someone who understands me. I do best in a calm home with adults or older teens (16+), where I can feel safe, loved, and appreciated for the loyal companion I’m ready to be. I do need a home with a fenced-in backyard. I may have had a mysterious beginning, but I’m hoping my next chapter is full of comfort, kindness, and a family who sees just how great I am.

Meet Maui!  Maui is a fun, goofy, high energy guy who is looking for a home that can keep up with him! He absolutely LOVES getting out and doing things. Walks are one of his favorites, and he’s even happy running alongside a bike. If you’re looking for a dog to join you on adventures, Maui is ready to go! Maui loves toys, but fair warning this boy needs the BIG, durable ones. He plays hard and has a blast doing it but he will swallow small toys / things he gets into his mouth.  He’s also a total love bug. Maui loves attention, affection, and being close to his people. One of his favorite ways to show his excitement is by jumping up to give “hugs.” We’ve been working with him on waiting until he’s invited, and he’ll need someone willing to keep reinforcing those manners. When Maui gets excited or overstimulated, he can also get mouthy/nippy. It’s more than the gentle puppy mouthing you might expect, but it isn’t aggressive biting. He’ll do best with someone who understands energetic dogs and can continue working with him on appropriate play and boundaries. Also would consider not having small children handle him until that is more under control.  And somehow, underneath ALL that energy, Maui has a couch potato setting. Once he’s gotten his energy out, he’s perfectly happy curling up next to you for some serious cuddle time.  Maui would be a great match for an active person or family who wants a goofy, affectionate adventure buddy and is willing to give him the exercise, structure, and continued training he needs. Hi, my name is Fred, and I’m a fun, affectionate guy who is loving this new life! I’m great on leash and very excited to meet new people and dogs. I absolutely LOVE to play—especially fetch! Balls, please! I also enjoy a good game of tug-of-war and could play with toys all day. I’m wonderful with kids and love being part of the family. Their excitement can sometimes get me excited too, so I’m still learning how to keep my manners when things get busy. I’m a pretty good listener and already know “sit,” and I’m learning more every day. I’m also very good about dropping things I shouldn’t have once I’m reminded. Since I’m still figuring out this whole house-living thing, I need some supervision. I’m curious and may decide that shoes, things on the table, or items on the counter look like fun toys. With consistency and guidance, I’m learning what’s mine and what’s not. I’m very close to being potty trained as long as I’m kept on a regular schedule. During the day, when the house is quiet, I can settle down nicely and relax. My crate manners are still a work in progress. I bark when I’m first crated and can take some time to settle, so I’ll need a family who is patient and willing to help me learn that my crate is a safe, comfortable place. I’m affectionate, playful, eager to learn, and just an all-around fun guy! I’m looking for a family who will continue helping me learn good manners while giving me plenty of love, playtime, and—of course—lots of opportunities to fetch!
