Story
Meet Oscar Oscar is a 5-year-old, 60-pound standard poodle who is as smart as he is sweet, and ready to start his next chapter with a family who will truly cherish him. Oscar came to us after being surrendered alongside his mate and their puppies from an Amish breeder. While his past revolved around producing litters, Oscar is now getting the chance to simply be a dog and he’s settling into that role beautifully. He’s a thoughtful, curious boy who enjoys taking in the world around him. Whether he’s out on a walk or just observing his surroundings, Oscar shows a gentle confidence and an inquisitive nature. He walks well on leash, making him a wonderful companion for daily strolls and adventures. Oscar has been a good, cooperative boy with our volunteers, he allows handling with ease and has a calm, easygoing demeanor. Beneath his composed nature is a truly affectionate dog who enjoys connection and quiet attention from his people. He has lived with kids of all ages and done well, showing patience and a gentle presence that makes him a great potential family dog. As a poodle, Oscar is intelligent and will thrive with continued engagement, whether that’s training, enrichment, or simply being included in daily life. He’s the kind of dog who forms strong bonds and will be a loyal, loving companion to his future family. Oscar is a really special boy - steady, kind, and full of quiet charm. He’s ready to make one lucky family very happy. He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. Story
Stella is a 3.5-year-old, 45-pound dog whose life has been shaped by both deep love and repeated loss. None of it her fault. She was first surrendered to ACCT Philly due to seizures, placing her at risk with a time-stamped outcome. From there, she was rescued by Familiar Hearts Animal Society, given the care she needed, and finally adopted into a home of her own. For a while, Stella had what every dog deserves. But after nine months, she was returned. Again because of her seizures. And still, Stella remains exactly who she has always been :: a happy, gentle, deeply loving soul. She has a beautiful balance of energy, content to lounge by your side, yet quick to invite another dog into a playful game. She’s easy on leash, a wonderful walking companion, and adaptable to a variety of homes. Stella is especially tender with other animals, doing well with dogs and even cats, and she lights up around people, particularly children. Stella does have epilepsy, which means she will always experience seizures. Most are brief focal episodes lasting just seconds and don’t seem to interrupt her joy or engagement with life. Less frequently, she may have more significant seizures. She is on medication to help manage them, and her care team continues to learn what her “normal” looks like as her patterns evolve. What’s important to understand is this :: Stella is not a dog waiting to be fixed. She is a dog already living a full, connected, and joyful life. She is looking for a home that can meet her with steadiness and compassion. Someone who isn’t afraid of her diagnosis, but instead sees the extraordinary dog in front of them :: the one who keeps choosing joy, connection, and play, no matter how many times her world has changed. Stella has been let go more than once. She deserves this next home to be the one that holds. Apply to adopt her at https://www.familiarhearts.org/adoption-application. When approved, you can coordinate your meeting with her foster. Kennel License 18972

Story
-Redman Milo is everything people love about a Doodle—a happy, affectionate, people-oriented companion whose greatest joy in life is simply being with his humans. At 2 years old and 55 pounds, he’s the perfect age: past the tiny puppy stage but still young, playful, and ready for a lifetime of adventures with the family he deserves. Milo isn’t looking for a new home because of behavior issues. In fact, he’s a wonderful dog. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, well-mannered, and thrives on love and attention. His heart is happiest when he’s close to his people, soaking up every ear scratch, belly rub, and kind word. Sadly, Milo’s family has experienced a major life change. His dad’s job now requires extensive travel as a construction worker, and the entire family must travel with him. That leaves Milo spending long stretches in boarding, and the financial burden has simply become too much. They have made the heartbreaking decision to find him a stable, loving home where he can finally settle in and never have to wonder where he belongs again. Milo’s ideal family will have the time to include him in everyday life. He would love a securely fenced yard where he can run, play, and enjoy the outdoors before coming inside to relax with his favorite people. Whether it’s walks, weekend adventures, or quiet evenings on the couch, Milo simply wants to be part of the family. If you’ve been searching for a loyal companion who will greet you with a wagging tail, unconditional love, and endless devotion, Redman Milo may be the one you’ve been waiting for. He has so much love to give and is hoping his next home will truly be his forever home. Could you be the family he’s watching and waiting for? If you can offer Redman Milo the loving, permanent home he deserves, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. He’s ready to leave this chapter behind and begin the happiest one of his life—with you.     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 10, 2026, 9:52 pm

Story
Lady Lollipop—lovingly called “Lollie”—is as delightful as her name suggests. This beautiful 18-month-old Parti Doodle weighs 50 pounds and brings a perfect blend of playful energy and gentle affection to every moment. Lollie has grown up in a busy, love-filled home with eight children, including four foster kids, and she has proven herself to be incredibly adaptable, patient, and kind. She truly loves children and seems to understand how to match their energy—whether it’s playtime in the yard or settling in for some quiet companionship. This smart girl is already house-trained and eager to show off her skills. She knows how to play fetch and would happily spend hours chasing a ball or toy, especially if it means making her people smile. Lollie thrives on interaction and is always ready for the next adventure. What we have found about Lollie is that she is leash reactive with other dogs when out on walks or hiking trails.  We are not sure why since often she seems to be fine with dogs but recently we have found that she considers small dogs not to her liking and so we feel  that her best life would be lived with a fenced backyard (absolutely must have a home with a fenced yard) and not expected to be a social butterfly out for walks where other dogs might come running up toward her.  Car rides? One of her favorites. Running and playing outside? Even better.  She can be worked with over time but for now we are just saying it is best for her and her family to not expect her to be BFF with other dogs unless her size and introduced carefully.  This is her only marginal trait that needs work and no expectations of her changing right away.  Lollie is truly “as sweet as a lollipop”—affectionate, intelligent, and full of joy. She’s ready to bring her loving spirit into a forever home that will cherish her as much as she will cherish them.  If you are interested, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 10, 2026, 9:52 pm
