Story
Toro of a very sweet and vocal cat. He's skeptical of new people, but once he accepts you he is good. He can't walk, he just stumbles around, and he's not good with finding the litter box. Needs an experienced caretaker. I don't want to give him to a shelter because they will likely kill him. He's still eating well, and I know he wants to live.

Story
Bean is an energetic and playful 3-year-old neutered male tabby cat looking for a home. Bean would do best in a home without young children, as an only cat (preferred) or with other young cats. He is currently taking daily fluoxetine for anxiety, but may not need it in a low-stress home. Bean came to me after developing anxiety due to a toddler in his previous home. Unfortunately, the anxiety persisted in my home, due to conflict with my less playful senior cat. Therefore, I am seeking a better home for Bean, to improve his quality of life. It is very possible that, after some time in a lower-anxiety setting (and with vet approval), he will no longer need daily medication. Bean does not like to be picked up or hugged, but he is affectionate, seeking pets and human interaction. He is chatty, curious, and intelligent. He has an excellent appetite, and enjoys playing with people and other energetic cats. He would be a great fit for someone looking for an interactive, playful cat.

Story
Bill, originally named Eros was located in a box with two of his siblings (Ares and Nyx) as 1 week old kittens in front of a shelter. He was taken in by our family. His name originated from being the most loving and sweetest of the three. He later moved with me after branching away from family. He kept me company until I met my husband who decided “Bill” was more fitting for him because he looked and acted like a middle aged man working at an office (running joke). He stayed with us until we had our first son. It took a while for him to adjust, he had some behavioral issues (peeing on the carpet). We needed to move to a place that didn’t allow pets so my sister took him in until she had her own son. Bill is back to having behavioral issues. All Bill wants is attention and love but currently our family is unable to provide him that. He’s content being indoors, litter trained, gets along with other cats, LOVES to cuddle, and occasionally a backyard to run around in.

Story
I recently rescued a kitten, but can’t keep him at home as my older year old dog is getting very stressed and has stopped eating and drinking water and is becoming depressed. If anyone is able to provide him a loving home please reach out to me. He is 4 months old, and has a slight deformity in his bone structure in his back legs, causing him to hop instead of walk when getting around. He is in no pain and gets around as easily as other cats and requires no extra care. He has all his shots and is neutered. He is also playful and extremely loving.

Story
We have had Whisper for 4 years now. Abandoned by her mother as a kitten, my brother found her and asked if I was interested in taking her. Especially since he took two of the other strays. Whisper has grown into a mature cat with specific quirks (well this being my first cat I don't know if this is a quirk or not). Each morning Whisper meets me at my bedroom door. Waiting for me to open the door so she can go into the shower area and lick up the water. She then proceeds to lay on my bed where she stays most of the day. When I get home, promptly at 7 pm she will move me to her food, giving me the hint to feed her. She is very affectionate but quick to know when we (my sons (ages 17 and 19)) have had enough. Because of our busy schedules and the fact that she does need more attention we are seeking to rehome her. She is an awesome cat. She likes smelling things and is afraid of the vacuum. I have to admit she will make someone a good pet.

Story
I have a sweet senior gal who has a history she keeps to herself, but this is what I know. About 6 years ago I moved into my apartment and started to notice the outside (feral) cat population. I started to rescue the kittens and a neighbor and I began TNRing the cats.    Right away I noticed this precious kitty was more timid and reserved and seemed to want attention but was very scared. Over time I have gained her trust and I and my daughter were both able to pet and hold her, on her terms, when she wanted. She would rub on us and actively show affection. Over the years I noticed she had on and off URIs and would stay away or hidden often.   This year I was very worried because her fur was matted (which is odd because she is short haired and that usually doesn’t happen), oily and very dirty (a sign she was not taking care of herself), she was loosing weight and  less affectionate. I wasn’t sure she would make it through this coming winter so I had to do something. I ended up being able to get her into a vet bill pay program for feral cats, so I put her into a carrier on August 1st and took her to the vet they recommended on August 2nd, where bloodwork and a urinalysis were done as well as a full exam. She was fully vaccinated, given flea medicine as well as getting her fur cleaned and mats shaved. The vet informed me that Taco is estimated to be about 10 years old and she had severe teeth/dental issues that should be addressed. Her test results all came back normal except that she was anemic but that was most likely due to the fleas she had long term. It was recommended to run bloodwork again in a month to be sure.    Over the next few weeks she gradually stop eating. On September 3rd I finally raised enough money for a rescue discount (through a vet compassionate person even though they could not take her in). Another full exam was done and as well as bloodwork and antibiotics given due the severity of her dental condition. Her bloodwork again came back normal and she was no longer anemic. So on September 5th she had almost all of her teeth removed. Since then she has a great appetite…eating pate and gravy based foods well. She has gained weight and is doing great.    Taco is still a little reserved and cautious but comfortable overall. She needs time to adjust to new people but seems to be coming out of her shell more and more. She is still learning how to be “a pet” and what she likes and is comfortable with. She loves pets and chin scratches but is learning that being held is ok and lap sits are good.    She has another female roommate at the moment and she growls at her sometimes BUT there is NO aggression and they lay near each and co-exist closely. So as long as they are introduced properly, I think she could live with another cat. I feel she would do great in a quiet home. Kids should be fine if they are older and pet savvy. I’m not sure about dogs, but I think it would be ok if the dog is calm and introduced correctly.   Please adopt Taco Gato/Cat. Taco Gato/Cat is currently living in Hayward, CA 94544-5132 More information & application [ts=1773241229&src=aap]

Story
Princess is a gentle, affectionate cat who may be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, her loving personality truly shines. She’s intelligent and observant, respectful of other cats’ space, and content to lounge nearby and simply be part of the family. She loves batting toys around and engaging in gentle play, but also enjoys quiet cuddle time. With a little patience, she becomes a devoted, sweet companion who just wants to be close to her people. Princess first appeared in our backyard as a shy little stray, quietly observing from a distance. With time, patience, and love, she has blossomed into the sweetest, most affectionate cuddle bug. What started as a timid visitor has turned into a scratch-loving, gentle companion. After bringing her inside, it took a couple of weeks for Princess to fully relax and adjust to home life. Every single day she grows more confident and comfortable. Now, she happily spends her time with our family — sleeping on the bed with my daughter and playing with my son. Watching her transformation has been truly special. Princess has a wonderful personality and so much love to give. Unfortunately, we already have two cats and our home just isn’t big enough to keep another long-term. She deserves a forever home where she can continue to thrive, feel safe, and be cherished. Princess currently lives with me, my wife, our two older children (ages 8 and 11), and our two cats (ages 1 year and 15 years). Once she feels comfortable, she does well with other cats. She enjoys playing with our younger cat and is respectful enough to give our senior cat space. She would likely do best in a home without dogs, as she is fearful of them. Princess is spayed and vaccinated, and I have her microchip information ready to transfer. Her belly was shaved for the spay procedure, and her hair is still growing back. Princess is currently living in San Jose, CA 95110 More information & application [ts=1773241229&src=aap]
