Story
My wife’s colleague found him outside, and since we were looking for a companion for our cat, we took him in and spent over two months trying to integrate them. He’s very affectionate with people but has been aggressive toward our resident cat, so we think he would do best as the only cat in a home. When we took him in, he likely had been living on the streets for a long time and needed medical care. We got him neutered, treated for ear mites and fleas, and he’s fully up to date on shots. He’s learning indoor life well but may still need some continued training. He’s a sweet, loving cat who deserves a home where he can be the sole focus. We’ll provide all medical records.

Story
Kiko is a 6-year-old female, spayed. She has been living with another cat, me and my husband her whole life. She has grown increasingly unhappy as an indoor cat. She needs a home where she can spend a good amount of time outside during the day. She also needs a home with a bit more action than ours. We have a quiet home, but Kiko needs an upbeat environment with things going on, or she needs to live with an owner who can give her a lot of time and attention. She likes attention and action. However, we don't recommend that she go into a home with children. She can be temperamental and doesn't like to be handled, although she does like to be petted. Also, a home with another cat isn't recommended. As she's gotten older, she has become very impatient with our other cat. Kiko's an alpha female and very territorial. We love both cats, but our other cat's personality fits our home environment better. Thank you.

Story
Milo is a lovable, handsome, young guy who has been through a lot of changes in his short life. He was born in November of 2020. Now he is looking for someone who will love him and give him the forever home he needs to show just how much love he has to share. When Milo was only 2 years old, his brother and best cat friend passed away. After that, he tried his best to make the family dog his replacement friend but it just wasn't the same. Not long after that, a human family member became ill and Milo was taken to a shelter. All the noises at the shelter scared Milo but fortunately, he was only there for a day or two before he lucked out with a very kind, patient foster mom taking him home. When Milo arrived in his foster home, he was scared and has had to learn to trust again. Fortunately, his foster mom knew Milo had lots of love to give so with her patience and expert guidance from a cat behaviorist, Milo discovered the view from the top of the dresser was much better than the "obstructed view" beneath the dresser and pets from a human are really nice. Milo enjoys his foster mom's dog - when it isn't too crazy - so would probably be happiest in a home where he has a calm cat and/or dog buddy. He also needs a quiet home because loud, unexpected noises send him back to the "obstructed view." Older children in the home would be fine too if they are willing to let Milo come to them on his own terms. Milo also loves to talk so he will gladly tell you all about his day. To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Story
Riley the Great! Riley is in need of a loving patient family. Around the house she loves cuddles and rubs from everyone. Loves to nap and play. She loves attention and find it fun when you chase her and play “fetch” with toys. The patience comes into play with retraining. She loves the attract litter and consistency when cleaning.. She requires a consistent feeding time, or she will get antsy. With new people she gets anxious based on her background. She was with a family with a young child that wasn’t safe with her. If your energy isn’t right she will not want you around. She’s loving and great to have around the house for love comfort and support.

Saturn loves wand toys and laser lights the most. She also loves those little spring toys too. Saturn is a cuddle bug after playtime. Story
Adoption Fee Sponsored by a Generous Supporter Introducing Penelope. Our vet estimates her to be 3 years old. She has an entire lifetime ahead of her and we want it to be great. Penelope is part of the "black & white" group that we rescued. After their owner passed away, the cats were left outside on their own for about 2 months. Penelope has been spending time at a foster home where she is quite comfortable. As the photos show, she loves cat trees. Hint to her adopter that she would love a cat tree at her forever home. She will do best in a quiet home, so no young children please. She gets along with other cats and a small dog at her foster home. Penelope's foster home is located in Hampstead MD (Carroll Co). Adoption Fee: Sponsored by a Generous Supporter - Approved Adopter pays -0- at time of adoption To apply to adopt complete our adoption application online at www.finallyhomeanimalrescue.com. Story
Miss Simone is a 3 yr old sweet girl who loves her humans. She can be quite playful at times and loves hanging out on the back of the sofa to watch to birds outside. She gets along with children, doggies, and cats too. She would do fine by herself or with a non-dominant kitty friend who's not too timid. She can be sassy now and then with certain bolder kitty personalities. She is occasionally vocal when she's not getting enough attention and loves to cuddle up on the sofa with her foster parents. Simone has a permanent wink since her eye was removed, it requires no further care and doesn't affect her in any way. Simone has lots of love to give and is looking for her new furrever family.
