Story
Olivia is a gorgeous girl. She loves to be petted and receive attention. Olivia can be shy at first and will take time to warm up but once she does she has lots of love to give. She would do best in a home with older children (teens and up) or an adult only home. She would be perfect for a retiree. Olivia gets along with all the other kitties at her foster home and would do well with a kitty companion or okay by herself. She loves toys of all types and playing on the tall cat tower at her foster home.

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Beautiful Ceres is a young tabby, weighs 7lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, is microchipped, and is FeLV/FIV negative, as veterinary records will substantiate.  Ceres's foster adds: "Ceres is a beautiful young tabby with white markings.  She was rescued from the streets with her 3 kittens a month ago.  The kittens have all found homes and now it’s Ceres’ time to find her forever home.   Foster is home all day and spends time with cat on and off through the day.  She has been in foster's bedroom to help her transition to house cat.  Ceres is shy.  A noise can cause her to go to her favorite spot under the bed.  Ceres will head bump you, ask for pets, cuddle up and is an expert biscuit maker and is a purr machine.  She’s just discovered the joys of playing and likes a good romp with a toy on a wand." Ceres's guardian explains why she is rehoming her:  "I rescue abandoned cats and find homes after spayed, vaccinated, combo tested, treated for fleas, and dewormed." Ceres's guardian states the following regarding children:  Ceres hasn't lived with or otherwise been around children, so her foster doesn't recommend her living with children because she's been with only 1 adult. Ceres's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Ceres hasn't lived with otherwise been around dogs, so her foster doesn't recommend her living with dogs, stating "She has not been around other dogs.  Because she is shy and needs time to get to know her fur mom/dad, a household without dogs would be better". Ceres's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Although Ceres currently lives with the resident cat in her foster home, her foster doesn't recommend her living with cats, stating "Ceres is better off as a single cat.  Possibly later after she's been with her adopter for time sufficient that she feels 'at home' it may be possible for her to be around another cat". Ceres's guardian describes her as: Quiet Shy Likes to be touched Fearful Ceres's guardian describes her ideal future home:  "Her best adopter will be patient as it will likely take Ceres a few weeks to settle in to a new environment….relocation is hard on cats and just takes time to happen. But patience will pay off and you’ll have yourself a wonderful loving companion." Rehoming Fee:  $50  Location:  Baltimore, MD  ***** ADOPTION PROCESS  1. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Brooks is 1-2yo, weighs 12lbs, is neutered, is up to date on his vaccinations, is microchipped, and is FeLV/FIV negative, as his veterinary records substantiate.  He's alone during the 8-10 hours, he roams the house and at night he sleeps on the couch or chair back.  Brooks dislikes/fears loud noises like fireworks.  "He really is a sweet boy...his energy is too high for my other 2 cats." Brooks's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him: "I got Brooks about 4 months ago.  He is friendly and very energetic.  I have him as an indoor cat but he could be a great barn cat with really good hunting instincts.  He was found outside originally.  Even though he has been neutered for 3 months now, he is still too much for my other 2 cats. One who hasn’t come out of my bedroom for the entire time (4 months) that he has been with me.  I’ve tried everything to help them get along but he wants to chase her and tries to aggressively play with my older cat who is very ill right now and can’t deal with his energy.  She has now relegated herself to the bedroom with the other cat.  It is unfair to them so I’m sadly seeking to re-home Brooks.  He probably would be too much for another cat without his size and energy.  I’m not sure if he’d get along with dogs or not but he really is a very sweet boy and I’m sure would thrive in another situation." Brooks's guardian offers a brief a medical history: "Brooks was bitten by another cat in his first home.  This is why I decided to take him in.  He was treated for an abscess after this incident and just before I received him." Brooks's guardian states the following regarding children:  Since Brooks doesn't live with children, his guardian doesn't recommend his living with children, stating "I just don't know if he has the patience for children". Brooks's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Although Brooks doesn't live with dogs, his guardian recommends his living with dogs, stating "He doesn't seem to react badly at the vet". Brooks's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Athough Brooks lived with cats, his guardian doesn't recommend his living with cats, stating "He wants to play and can be too rough with small cats with less energetic personalities". Brooks's guardian describes him as: Very active Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Brooks's guardian describes his ideal future home: "I think he would make a great barn cat.  He has great hunting instincts and is very curious. In a home, he’d be best with larger cats that are more non reactive or that will play back.  He can be rough when playing so I don’t think a home with young children would be the best but you know your own family."
