King is very comfortable around people and will often come up to ask for pets and attention. He also gets along well with dogs and enjoys the occasional chicken treat. Story
Bella is a 5-year-old spayed tabby with a gentle, curious personality. She can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up and finds her person she becomes a very sweet and cuddly companion. Bella loves spending time by the window watching the world go by, bird-watching and even chirping when she sees them. She also enjoys exploring boxes and investigating new packages around the house. Around other animals she tends to keep her distance at first but is never confrontational. Bella would do well in almost any home and just needs a little patience at the start to let her affectionate side shine. Ask me about her brother!

Story
Kitty is 5 years old and was adopted as a kitten from a friend whose cat had kittens. She is sweet and kind and loves attention. She is good with kids and has been in the same loving home since she was a kitten. She loves to sleep on my bed next to me but also likes her own space. Unfortunately due to terminal health issues I am no longer able to care for her. She will come with her food, brush and water/food bowls. Located near Rockville Town Square.

Story
Hello! Kevin is a 10 year old tabby that we've had since he was 1 week old. He is very sweet and we never had any issues with him until we adopted a dog and had two children (ages 1&3 now). He is very good with both the kids and dog - very gentle and has never tried to hurt either - but it's clear that the addition of more family members has made him more territorial and we've been dealing with him peeing outside of the litter box. We have tried several methods to try to fix the situation, but it has become apparent to us that he would be better off in a home with no dogs and probably without very young children. We are hoping to adopt him along with his twin brother, Bo. We have not had these issues with Bo, but we don't want to separate them since they've been together since birth. We are really hoping to find a loving family for them that can give them the stress-free environment that Kevin needs!

Story
Chance has been an amiable companion since day one to his foster mom! We found him in the street but too friendly to release. He has chubby cheeks and the prettiest jade green eyes. He is also the longest cat we have ever seen, so we named him Mr. Big. His foster brothers were not very friendly at first, but he won them over and now they love him. If you think your cat would never welcome another cat into the household, give Chance a chance!

Story
Clementine is a sweet cat, roughly 3 years old, who needs a better home; ideally one where she is the only pet, or with 1-2 friendly cats. She was very timid in her original home and did not seem to like cohabitation with the other two cats and one dog, but none of those other animals were particularly nice to her either. The original owner was a friend who could not keep her at their new apartment. We've had her for about 7 months, and she is mostly content here, but still seems pretty nervous around our dog, despite his complete lack of interest in her. But the biggest reason we need to give her up is because we are expecting a new baby soon, and we won't have enough room for her, or the bandwidth to give her the attention she deserves. She is a well-behaved cat, who took to using her new litter box right away, and has never scratched anyone. She is pretty small, light weight, and very self-sufficient with her food and water. She is not very food motivated, but she loves to play.

Story
Starlight (female) and Moonlight (male) are a sweet, adorable and friendly bonded sibling pair of domestic short hair kittens. Their age is estimated to be 11 months. Moonlight loves being picked up and cuddled, while Starlight prefers booping her nose against your legs often while investigating her surroundings. They both enjoy behind ear scratches, soft surface areas, lazy days staring outside windows, and evenings playing with their humans. They are socialized and get along well with both little kids and adults. They were found last summer, and a vet estimated that they were about 10-12 weeks then. They’ve received all vaccinations, have been spayed / neutered, and have continued to love being around humans both big and small. While these kittens are truly loved, this single parent family with a dog can’t keep them forever. We are hoping to find a local MoCo family to adopt them and give them their forever home ❤️

Story
Name: Sweetpea Sex: Female Estimated Age: About 6 months old (as of 3/19) Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair- Tabby and White Weight: About 6 pounds (as of 3/19) Good With: People, and other cats and kittens! Story: Sweetpea was rescued from a kill shelter in Alabama. We are so happy to have her with us in a foster home. Sweetpea is a happy and sweet young cat. She spends her days cuddling and playing with her foster family and chasing all the fun toys they have. What my foster says: Sweet Pea is a sweet, adorable, cuddly, teeny-tiny chaos instigator (as my [very understanding, cat-loving] downstairs neighbor, who hears the galloping and clattering of things falling on the floor, can testify). A bit shy when meeting new people--especially when there are a lot of people at once--she quickly warms up and will crawl up on your lap (or knee, or back, or shoulder). She loves strings and things that move--shoelaces, ball, mouse, spring toy). She loves interactive play--especially with the wand toy--but is also good at entertaining herself when I'm busy. She also excels at long naps, and can often be found napping on top of a box near my desk or in a laundry basket near my reading chair. The fee to adopt Sweetpea is $200 ($325 for two kittens). This covers the cost of her spay, vaccines appropriate for her age, the collar she’s wearing, and her care in foster. Sweetpea has been seen by a shelter vet (or other vet) and we are not aware of any health issues. Are you ready to give Sweetpea the love and attention she deserves? If so, apply today!March 10, 2026, 3:19 pm
