Story
Milo is a lovable, handsome, young guy who has been through a lot of changes in his short life. He was born in November of 2020. Now he is looking for someone who will love him and give him the forever home he needs to show just how much love he has to share. When Milo was only 2 years old, his brother and best cat friend passed away. After that, he tried his best to make the family dog his replacement friend but it just wasn't the same. Not long after that, a human family member became ill and Milo was taken to a shelter. All the noises at the shelter scared Milo but fortunately, he was only there for a day or two before he lucked out with a very kind, patient foster mom taking him home. When Milo arrived in his foster home, he was scared and has had to learn to trust again. Fortunately, his foster mom knew Milo had lots of love to give so with her patience and expert guidance from a cat behaviorist, Milo discovered the view from the top of the dresser was much better than the "obstructed view" beneath the dresser and pets from a human are really nice. Milo enjoys his foster mom's dog - when it isn't too crazy - so would probably be happiest in a home where he has a calm cat and/or dog buddy. He also needs a quiet home because loud, unexpected noises send him back to the "obstructed view." Older children in the home would be fine too if they are willing to let Milo come to them on his own terms. Milo also loves to talk so he will gladly tell you all about his day. To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Story
Chance has been an amiable companion since day one to his foster mom! We found him in the street but too friendly to release. He has chubby cheeks and the prettiest jade green eyes. He is also the longest cat we have ever seen, so we named him Mr. Big. His foster brothers were not very friendly at first, but he won them over and now they love him. If you think your cat would never welcome another cat into the household, give Chance a chance!

Story
Ginger is a sweet quiet kitty who loves sitting on your lap. She is almost 7 years old now, and is an independent gal that does not like to be picked up but loves pets and cuddles. She loves being around her human and has learned to ignore my toddler. She is clean and has only ever used her litter box. Sadly, a family member's allergies are so bad that now cat allergies trigger asthma attacks and after 3 years of living this way, our pulmonologist has point blank told us that if we don't commit to a hypoallergenic environment, we risk further lung damage. She is pair bonded with our other cat Pepper, who is also listed here. Pepper is the opposite of Ginger and loves to go out or engage you in fun play time activities.

Milo is an extremely affectionate cat. He loves people and is so friendly. He’s house trained and never has accidents outside the litter box. He was adopted during COVID and I’ve started traveling quite often for work. I hate leaving him at home all the time! He deserve a loving home with a companion who loves to cuddle. Story
Thor, the cat, was a gift, but as a college student, it is becoming increasingly difficult to give the cat the attention it deserves. I would describe the cat as subtle, explorative, curious, and individualistic. He is very introverted, but extremely friendly—especially with new people, and he craves affection. I would advise buying a scratching post so that he does not scratch things like toilet paper (he loves to scratch against toilet paper).

Good with kids,
Story
I found my cat, (Chimu) when he was small maybe he had about one month at that time. He is now probably around 1 year and 3-4 months. Chimu is a very affectionate cat he, loves to get chin and head rubs, but does not like when you touch his belly. Chimu has never scratched or attacked any member of my Family and he is well behaved with little kids. Although he doesn’t like to get his nails cut and he has had them long for a while, he never used his nails to attacked or even use his nails when he wants to play he only uses his paws. Unfortunately he never got vaccinated or even checked, but I could tell you that he is in good shape, he rarely vomited 2-3 times the whole year, and never shown signs of poor health. The reason I want to rehome my Chimu is because I am moving very soon, and sadly they don’t allow pets, and cannot take him with me. If anyone is interested please contact me. Im sure he will make your life brighter, as he did to mine.

Story
Name: Betty Sex: Female Estimated Age: About 4 months old (as of 12/3) Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair- Tuxedo Weight: About 3 pounds (as of 12/3) Good With: People, and other cats and kittens! Story: Betty was rescued from a kill shelter in North Carolina with her brother, George. We are so happy to have her with us in a foster home. Betty is a happy and sweet young cat. She spends her days playing with her foster family and littermate and chasing all the fun toys they have. What my foster says: Curious George and Betty are both really affectionate, love to play around the house with each other, love taking naps with us as soon as we're home. As you can see from the pics, as soon as we sit anywhere, they usually congregate for cuddles and naps. George is a bit more adventurous although they both have that trait. If they're awake, they're playing together the majority of the time or looking for cuddles. The fee to adopt Betty is $200 ($325 for two kittens). This covers the cost of vaccines appropriate for her age, the collar she’s wearing, and her care in foster. Betty has been seen by a shelter vet (or other vet) and we are not aware of any health issues. Are you ready to give Betty the love and attention she deserves? If so, apply today!
