Story
Rocky is a super duper sweet boy. He loves pets and spending time with people, whether or not they are strangers! He is a lap cat and very personable. Unfortunately, we cannot keep him as he has started spraying and peeing outside the litter box. We had him checked out medically and he is perfectly fine, but we have a young son who is crawling and do not have the ability to try and retrain Rocky. It breaks our hearts that we have to rehome him but we know that the right person can help him break this habit. He loves other cats, but our other cat has been aggressive towards Rocky lately and that could be contributing to the behavior.

Story
Chance has been an amiable companion since day one to his foster mom! We found him in the street but too friendly to release. He has chubby cheeks and the prettiest jade green eyes. He is also the longest cat we have ever seen, so we named him Mr. Big. His foster brothers were not very friendly at first, but he won them over and now they love him. If you think your cat would never welcome another cat into the household, give Chance a chance!

Story
You might be wondering why I named an orange Tabby ‘Shadow’. Well he’s a super friendly cat that loves to be around people and will follow you around just like one! He loves to be picked up and play. I’ve jokes that he’s more dog like than cat like at times. He’s really a great cat and deserves better than I have the bandwidth to give at the moment. I’d love to find someone who will love him and play with him. He is a very vocal guy and will talk to you

Story
Meet Jake — your new best buddy! Jake made his way from an overcrowded North Carolina shelter to the DMV in search of a brighter future, and he’s ready to find his forever home! This handsome 6-month-old boy sports a stunning marble coat and an even more beautiful heart. Jake is a total sweetheart who loves scratches, playtime, and—of course—treats. He’s a champion cuddler who adores being petted and will purr his heart out to show his appreciation. A big fan of being close to his people, Jake is also a devoted leg-rubber who just wants to be part of the action. He’s still growing into his frame, so a few extra snacks make him extra happy! Jake eats both wet and dry food, and he’s already a pro with his pellet litter box. We think Jake would thrive with another young feline friend to romp and play with—but most of all, he’s looking for a loving home where he can give all his affection.. Meet him in Arlington, VA Posted 10/25/25

Story
6 years ago my neighborhood saw a few cats pop up out of nowhere. All around the same age, maybe a year old, and they we wandering house to house looking for food. The neighborhood adopted the cats and have been feeding/taking care of the cats for years. My parents have set up weather resistant houses outside with electric blankets and feed them 3-4 times a day. All of the cats are very friendly, but Drama is the most affectionate/trusting of the lot. She loves pets, likes to be held, and is very patient. She, Cleo and Mark are bonded and normally share one of the outdoor houses together. Within the past year she has been coming inside more and staying longer with each visit. Whoever wants to adopt Drama needs to be patient with her. She has been an outdoor cat her whole life and may take some time to trust new people. She is nice to any humans, but those she doesn't know she isn't immediately trusting. She may want to continue to go outside but is comfortable indoors.

These cats are in Rockville, Maryland too!

Story
Name: Carrot Sex: Male Estimated Age: About 11 months old (as of 1/20) Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair - Orange and White Weight: About 10 pounds (as of 1/20) Good With: People, and other cats and kittens! Story: Carrot is an adorable domestic short hair kitty, who was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina with his brother Cheeto. Carrot is a happy, sweet kitty. He spends his days playing with his foster family and chasing all the fun toys he has. When he’s done it’s nap time or cuddling with his humans! What my foster says: Polite and a bit goofy, Carrot is a sweet young boy who likes to spend most of his day wherever you are. He enjoys playing with springs and things on strings.  He also enjoys playing with his other cat friends, and enjoys chasing and being chased. He doesn't often climb in your lap, but if you're sitting quietly early in the morning or late at night, he just might decide it's time to cuddle!  Carrot likes to be up high wherever he can reach, so cat towers are great for him.  He minds his manners around tabletop objects. He doesn't mind being picked up and carried around, and he is gentle about letting you know when he wants to get down. He's a bit wary of new people but can easily be swayed with treats.  Carrot hasn’t been around children much but when he was he did fine with children that respect his boundaries. For a cat, Carrot does well with grooming and will tolerate baths if necessary since he likes water and has been known to get in a tub of water to chase electronic fish!   He will also tolerate nail clipping as long as you go slow and offer ample treats.  Carrot is not picky about his litter, but he likes a larger litter box so he has enough space to move around. The fee to adopt Carrot is $200 ($325 for two kittens). This covers his neuter, the cost of vaccines appropriate for his age, the collar he’s wearing, and his care in foster. Carrot has been seen by a vet and we are not aware of any health issues. Are you ready to give Carrot the love and attention he deserves? If so, apply today!   February 3, 2026, 11:35 am

LUNA Female, spayed  6 months DSH Microchipped, up-to-date on core vaccines, FIV/FeLV and heart worm negative Good with cats, good with dogs, untested with kids   Meet Luna! Although this little one was found in a junkyard, legend has it she's one of the sweetest kittens to roam the planet! She loves snuggling and giving love as much as she does playing and running around. During nighttime, you can find her nestled between her two foster parents in bed. Her favorite pastimes include: Playing with her sister, batting at trash, zooming around the apartment, napping, and purring when touched. She hasn't been the biggest fan of the playful resident dog but does coexist and may do perfectly fine with a calm and respectful dog. She has gotten along well with all other cats. Her eating manners are polite and she reserves her claws only for cat toys. She's a prim and properly little lady! Highlights: Curious Reserved Playful Snuggly Friendly Bonded She is best friends with her sister, Inkie who shares her loving energy and youthfulness. Although they are not bonded, would make an excellent pair!   Interested in adopting? Of course you are!
