Story
6 mos old Noodles made her way from an overcrowded North Carolina shelter to the DMV in search of a brighter future and a forever home! This adorable 5-month-old girl sports a pretty brown tabby coat hi-lighted with orange and an even more beautiful heart. She’s happiest being in your arms and soaking up all the love she can get. Noodles is a total sweetheart who loves scratches, playtime, and of course treats. She is a champion cuddler who adores being petted and will purr her heart out to show her appreciation. A big fan of being close to people, Noodle is also a devoted leg-rubber who happily gets underfoot and just wants to be part of the action. She would make an excellent first kitty for a new cat owner and is ready to be someone’s perfect little companion! Updated 7/21/26

Story
Reggie is a wonderful, small (6 pound), neutered, affectionate, incredibly soft, sweet cat. He is an 11- year-old brown tabby who still loves to play. Reggie loves to toss around small toys and chase a stick under any rug. He loves company and being petted, especially on rugs and stairs, and to sit on the back of a chair to nudge your head. There is no question that Reggie is still adorable and active.Situation: Reggie is a small male cat, about half the size of our other cats. Being frequently chased by them has caused stress, which occasionally leads to spraying. We believe he would thrive as the only pet in a home with a woman who has time to give him attention esp. becuase he didn't spray previously. He hides from men and children and has never lived with dogs. Reggie is an indoor-only cat. He has mild eye discharge and slight farsightedness from kittenhood herpes (not contagious), plus only his fangs due to tooth resorption, but he eats normally and is otherwise healthy.

Hello! I’m sadly giving my cat to someone who really would love a girly cat :) the problem is she doesn’t get along with my other cat :( I’ve had her for years since she was a baby and she never got along with him and now its getting worse with the both of them so I have to let go of my bby girl :( I would love her to have a new owner someone who would take really good care of her please. She’s very calm and very elegant she loves chicken flavored food and relaxing allll dayyy and loves to be pet etc. she’s an indoor cat she has never been interested in exploring outside she loves being inside. She’s very possessive so when she loves someone she loves hard! That’s the problem is that she doesn’t like to share lol Michi is 3 years old already and was a mommy and has been spayed

Story
Cider and Toffee are two sweet, loving cats, approximately 1.5 years old, looking for a forever home together! ❤️Cider is a handsome, affectionate boy, and Toffee is his playful, sweet sister. They are both healthy, energetic, and love to play. They can be shy around strangers at first, but once they feel comfortable, they are incredibly loving and wonderful companions. They are very bonded and must be rehomed together.Cider does have one special need: he requires a prescription urinary diet to stay healthy.I am unfortunately no longer able to afford their care due to unemployment, and making the decision to rehome them has been incredibly difficult. My biggest priority is finding them a safe, loving home where they can stay together and continue to be happy and well cared for.If you’re looking for two wonderful cats to add to your family, please consider Cider and Toffee! 🐱🐱

Story
Note: Tigress and Pantera need a loving foster home ASAP. Tigress and Pandera These sisters are friendly, loving and playful. They were born into a loving home where they are use to being around a family with kids. They are very social and love being with people. Tigress (brown tabby) is a cute tiger striped girl. She is friendly and bold and loves being around people. Pantera (black) is a little panther. She loves playing and stalking her toys. She is also loving and playful. Foster Home Needed These girls were born into a loving home where their family has asked for help finding them a home together. Their siblings already have homes and the mom cat has now been spayed. SPCA would like to bring these sisters into our care but we can't do this unless we have a foster home to care for them. Their vet care has not yet been started. Note: If you would like to consider fostering them, please send an email to spcanova@aol.com or fill out the cat foster application at https://spcanova.org/cats/foster-a-cat/cat-foster-application/. PLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA. Story
Felipe's Personality DOB: 2/2025 Felipe is a young, friendly, and playful grey and white tabby. He has cute black toe beans and looks like he’s wearing black lipstick and eyeliner! He LOVES other cats and needs a cat buddy in his forever home. In Felipe’s typical day, he engages one of his two foster “brothers” in chase-and-wrestle games until his brother wears out! Felipe is respectful of his older foster “brother,” who sometimes tries to show Felipe who is “boss.” Felipe loves to play in his “cat tunnel” and chase a toy on a fishing pole. He enjoys pouncing and wrestling with your hand that’s hidden under a blanket. He also likes to hide behind a bedspread and ambush you playfully as you walk past. When playtime is done, Felipe likes to watch the wildlife outside his sunroom window and nap there. Felipe is not shy one bit and settled into is foster home quickly. Never hiding and wanting to explore. He has a quiet meow and rarely speaks. In foster care, he is becoming more affectionate. When first rescued, Felipe was comfortable being petted only when eating. But more and more, he enjoys petting and is getting use to being picked up for short periods of time. His foster mom is confident he will become a true love bug in the right loving home. Type of Home Felipe Needs Felipe is a young, strong cat who needs an experienced cat caretaker who wants to play with him for about an hour a day and is patient about letting him learn to enjoy more affection. He needs another young male cat in his forever home to bond and play with. He may do ok with an older cat-savvy child (12 years or older) who plays with him. No younger children now or in the future. Where Felipe Came From Felipe was found outdoors by a kind family with 3 cats and 2 dogs of their own. They would have loved to keep him but with an already full household, they cared for him until he was transferred to SPCA’s care.PLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA. Story
Mango's Personality DOB: 1/1/26 Mango is a very handsome orange tabby with an adorable white bib and socks and big green eyes. He is a sweet, fairly mellow guy who just wants to be loved. Mango trots over to greet everyone who comes his way, stranger or not. He’s also a cuddler and is happy to settle in for a nap on a warm lap (or chest if you’re horizontal). He likes being carried around and is quick to purr. Mango enjoys being petted, but like many cats, lets you know when he has had enough. The same goes with playing. He chases a mouse on a string for a while or bats a ball around the floor with you, but then walks away like he has better things to do! Mango loves his cat tree and spends hours on the top perch napping or looking out the window. He also loves running water and likes to stand outside the bathroom to let you know he wants in - so he can jump up on the counter and drink while not caring that he is immersing his head in the water getting soaking wet! What Type of Home Mango Needs Mango needs a home with multiple people who are available to hang out with him. He is not demanding, but likes to be near people. We have not seen him interact with other cats but like most young male cats, he would likely thrive with a like-minded male kitty to bond and play with. Mango can gently nip or grab when letting you know he has had enough petting or playing, so he would do fine with cat-savvy older kids, but not a home with young children now or in the future.  Where Mango Came From Mango was a stray kitty who was trying to get inside an office building when a kind woman encountered him outdoors. Of course, this kitty - only about 6 months old - had no business being outdoors. She brought him indoors for safekeeping and when nobody claimed him, he was transferred to SPCA's care.PLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA.
