Story
Reggie is a small (6 pound), affectionate, incredibly soft, sweet cat. He is 11 years old and still loves to play. He loves being petted, especially on rugs and to sit on the back of a chair and nudge your head. Situation He is one of 3 male cats in our home and is ½ the size of the others. Thus, he is chased and reacts by spraying even though he’s neutered. He didn’t do this when the cats were young. He needs to be the only cat in a woman’s household who has the time to pet and play with him. He hides from men and children and has never lived with a dog. He is and must remain a 100% indoor cat. He has runny eyes and is bit farsighted due to Herpes as a baby (not contagious and no other lingering effects). He only has his fangs remaining due to tooth reabsorption issues. There are no other health issues and he doesn’t get hairballs.

Story
It breaks my heart, but I need to re-home my recent rescue cat. I renamed Harrison (full name Harrison Ignastius Houdini Morningstar). Harrison is a near-perfect cat, except I got him to be friends with Oscar (full name Oscar Felipe Magnifico). Unfortunately, Harrison needs to be a solo cat, and Oscar needs not to be terrorized in his own home. This makes me very sad, as he is a great cat. He loves to play (he can fetch), is a snuggler, and can be picked up. If you are in need of this near-perfect, loving (to humans), playful, beautiful boy, please contact me. I can set up some time for you to meet him. Harrison deserves to have the best of everything. And you deserve the best cat.

Story
She was adopted when she was 7 months old from BARCS. She was a bit shy and hesitant but warmed up after a year. She is litter trained and likes wet food and treats. She is up to date on her vaccinations. She is currently 3 years old. She is very loving but still cautious about life. She likes to play. Not really big on being picked up or held. But if you’re her favorite, she will allow you to hold her. She needs a new home that is loving and patient as she is still a hesitant and nervous little girl. She really is sweet and I wish I could keep her longer.

Story
Nala is a wonderful rescue I took in 4 years ago and have absolutely loved. She is a shy little girl but is SO lovely. She adores cuddles and pets and being you companion once she gets used to you. She is not a big play cat but will when she is in a certain mood. She has lived around large dogs her whole adopted life but generally needs calm dogs who do not chase her or invade her space. Her bestie is my best friends dog, Jack, who is a Lab Husky mix. They will cuddle and love on each other daily. If there are a lot of people or a lot of noise, she tends to go find a comfy place to hide out and especially loves cozy small spaces or sunbathing in sun patches or the window.Upon adoption, you will get all you could possibly need to take care of Nala including an automatic feeder, automatic watering bowl, 2 litter boxes, toys, brushes, carrier, etc.

Story
Bella’s Personality DOB: 6/2018 Bella is a gorgeous tabby/tortoiseshell mix with bright orange colors and stunning yellow eyes. She's a very social, affectionate, playful and talkative kitty full of personality! What’s not to fall in love with? Be prepared for a cat who loves to hangout and keep her family company. Bella does well when left home alone, but really enjoys being around people. She is very easy going and even allows nail trims. Bella loves a good snuggle and tons of petting - she greets you when you come home and has never met a stranger she didn't like! She's not easily spooked and actually enjoys guests because this means extra petting for her. Bella enjoys interactive playtime - especially chasing string toys and batting toys around. She likes to sleep on the bed with you and is usually found curled in a little ball at the foot of the bed. What Type of Home Bella Needs Bella needs a home where she gets plenty of people time. She enjoys interactive play as much as napping. She's an ideal companion for people who want an engaging cat. We haven't seen her interact with kids but she would likely do fine with kids who know how to interact with cats as she is extremely gentle. Bella would do well in a home with or without another friendly cat with a compatible activity level. She previously lived with another cat for years and we understand she wanted to engage in play although the other cat wasn’t interested. Where Bella Came From Bella was loved and very well cared for in her previous home. She was surrendered because her caretaker unfortunately became too ill to care for her.PLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA. Story
Lily's Personality DOB: 11/2025 Lily is an adorable dilute calico - with plenty of grey and peach patches of color on a white coat. This girl is friendly, curious and bold. She doesn't have a care in the world. She enters a new home with new people and is immediately curious. After she is satisfied that her new space is to her liking, she is ready for playtime then lots of cuddles. She easily climbs into your lap when she wants some affection. And sleeps by your side at night. What Type of Home Lily Needs Lily thrives on playtime and interaction with people. So she needs a home where people are around to give her plenty of interactive play and attention. A home with older kids would be great. We have not seen Lily interact with other cats but are confident she would thrive in a home with another young, playful female cat. Where Lily Came From Lily came from a loving home with a family that suddenly lost their home. A family member took them in but couldn't accommodate Lily since other family members are allergic to cats. So this sweet girl suddenly found herself in need of a new home. Safe in SPCA's care, we will make sure she finds another loving home.PLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA. Story
Felipe's Personality DOB: 2/2025 Felipe is a young, friendly grey and white tabby. He looks like he's wearing black lipstick and eyeliner! Felipe is a bold and confident cat who loves playtime - with his foster mom and other cats. He settled in easily, not hiding at all, and enjoys playing with one of the two other male cats in his foster home. Felipe engages one of his foster “brothers” in chase-and-wrestle games until his "brother" wears out! Felipe is generally respectful of his other “brother,” who is older and has no interest in playing, though Felipe occasionally needs reminders to back off. He’s not a bully; he just wants to play! Because of this, Felipe needs another young playful male cat in his forever home. When Felipe is not playing with his "brother," he loves to chase a toy on a fishing pole. He sometimes likes to playfully "ambush" you as you walk by - he is still learning to be gentler and only ambush toys. Felipe is learning how nice it is to be petted. He has never been shy, but prefers playtime to being petted. However, Felipe is starting to enjoy affection more and more and has even started climbing into his foster mom's lap. Felipe loves eating as much as playing and is enthusiastic about his meals. He is not picky about wet food and prefers wet food to dry food. Type of Home Felipe Needs Felipe needs an experienced cat caretaker who understands some cats prefer playtime to affection. He's a young, strong cat who thrives on interactive playtime - with people and other cats. He needs a home with another young, playful male cat to bond and play with. No young children now or in the future. An older cat-savvy child (over about 12 years of age) may be ok. Where Felipe Came From Felipe was found living outdoors by a kind family with 3 cats and 2 dogs. With an already full household, they were not able to keep Felipe but cared for him until he came into SPCA's care.PLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA.
