They are absolutely darling and so purrfect together! These one-year-old lovebugs have a very special connection and must be adopted together. They love to do almost everything together and happily share, making them as easy as one cat with twice the smiles and purrs. Big Man is very friendly and readily approaches for affection if you are nearby or open the kennel door. He really loves chin scratches and leans in to savor them fully. At 12 lbs he is a big teddy bear. He seems to have a bit more confidence in new places than Cookie, comfortable exploring while Cookie finds a safe place to perch and scope out the scene He enjoys taking in all the shelter happenings but would really prefer a home where he can watch birds and get more snuggles. Cookie is a sweet petite (6 lbs) darling who finds her confidence in her bonded buddy Big Man. When she is alone in a new place, she is shy and reserved. When Big Man appears, she lights up and transforms into a relaxed and affectionate girl. She is comfortable being held and shows curious interest in her surroundings. 5 mos old Noodles made her way from an overcrowded North Carolina shelter to the DMV in search of a brighter future and a forever home! This adorable 5-month-old girl sports a pretty brown tabby coat hi-lighted with orange and an even more beautiful heart. She’s happiest being in your arms and soaking up all the love she can get. Noodles is a total sweetheart who loves scratches, playtime, and of course treats. She is a champion cuddler who adores being petted and will purr her heart out to show her appreciation. A big fan of being close to people, Noodle is also a devoted leg-rubber who happily gets underfoot and just wants to be part of the action. It breaks my heart, but I need to re-home my recent rescue cat. I renamed Harrison (full name Harrison Ignastius Houdini Morningstar). Harrison is a near-perfect cat, except I got him to be friends with Oscar (full name Oscar Felipe Magnifico). Unfortunately, Harrison needs to be a solo cat, and Oscar needs not to be terrorized in his own home. This makes me very sad, as he is a great cat. He loves to play (he can fetch), is a snuggler, and can be picked up. If you are in need of this near-perfect, loving (to humans), playful, beautiful boy, please contact me. Petunia was adopted in 2021 as a kitten from a home in Gaithersburg Maryland. Petunia is a very gentle and sweet cat. She loves to greet you at the door and be pet while you sit on the couch. I am rehoming sadly because the place I am moving does not allow pets. She loves slinkies and any type of string or rope toys. She has been living with her companion cat, Red, for her whole life, and they are a package deal. They enjoy each other's company and need to be adopted together.

Professor Peaches is one of the most loving cats you will ever meet. He loves laps, especially while you're sitting down for a meal, and cuddling in bed, especially as the little spoon. It's like he’s trying to make up for all the comfort he lost. He once had a family, but when their apartment complex was condemned and everyone moved out, he returned home one day to find nobody there to let him back inside. He waited and waited, but no one ever came back for him. When he first arrived in foster care, he would jolt awake in panic and cry out for his foster mom, terrified of being abandoned again. He does have some health issues: mild heart murmur, stage 1 kidney disease, back leg pain. He will need a specific diet and pain management therapies. He also is not very trusting of other cats and dogs, but will cohabit with them as long as they are quiet and gentle. This sweetie has already survived heartbreak once and deserves to feel safe, cherished, and home again.

She absolutely loves people and thrives on attention, making friends with just about everyone she meets. If you're looking for a cat who wants to be part of everything you do, Stormy is your girl. She's incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle, especially at bedtime. Don't be surprised if she curls up next to you every night—sleeping with her favorite humans is one of her favorite things. She's an excellent little bug hunter, so she'll happily help keep unwanted critters out of the house. Stormy is not a fan of dogs and would do best in a dog-free home.
