6 mos old Noodles made her way from an overcrowded North Carolina shelter to the DMV in search of a brighter future and a forever home! This adorable 5-month-old girl sports a pretty brown tabby coat hi-lighted with orange and an even more beautiful heart. She’s happiest being in your arms and soaking up all the love she can get. Noodles is a total sweetheart who loves scratches, playtime, and of course treats. She is a champion cuddler who adores being petted and will purr her heart out to show her appreciation. A big fan of being close to people, Noodle is also a devoted leg-rubber who happily gets underfoot and just wants to be part of the action. She would make an excellent first kitty for a new cat owner and is ready to be someone’s perfect little companion! Updated 7/21/26

They are both healthy, energetic, and love to play. They can be shy around strangers at first, but once they feel comfortable, they are incredibly loving and wonderful companions. They are very bonded to one another and must be rehomed together.Cider does have one special need: he requires a prescription urinary diet to stay healthy.I am unfortunately no longer able to afford their care due to unemployment, and making the decision to rehome them has been incredibly difficult. My biggest priority is finding them a safe, loving home where they can stay together and continue to be happy and well cared for.If you’re looking for two wonderful cats to add to your family, please consider Cider and Toffee! 🐱🐱

I adopted Jax as a kitten during Covid and he’s been a constant companion through two moves. He’s 5 years old, exceptionally sweet, loves being next to you, and has this very cute move where he reaches up and hugs your leg to say hello. He’s shy around new people but warms up quickly. He unfortunately doesn’t get along with our dog, so we’re looking for a new loving forever home with someone looking for a sweet companion.

Story
Professor Peaches is one of the most loving cats you will ever meet. He loves laps, especially while you're sitting down for a meal, and cuddling in bed, especially as the little spoon. It's like he’s trying to make up for all the comfort he lost. He once had a family, but when their apartment complex was condemned and everyone moved out, he returned home one day to find nobody there to let him back inside. He waited and waited, but no one ever came back for him. When he first arrived in foster care, he would jolt awake in panic and cry out for his foster mom, terrified of being abandoned again. He does have some health issues: mild heart murmur, stage 1 kidney disease, back leg pain. He will need a specific diet and pain management therapies. He also is not very trusting of other cats and dogs, but will cohabit with them as long as they are quiet and gentle. This sweetie has already survived heartbreak once and deserves to feel safe, cherished, and home again.
