Story
***NOTE: This pet is currently at the shelter in Republic, WA, and can be delivered to an approved adopter on our 8/29/26 adopted pet transport to Monroe, WA to begin a 30-day trial placement part of our distance adoption program.*** Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing Dolly This beautiful shorthaired tabby/white girl is SO ready for a home of her own. Picture this. You're a young single mother of very active quintuplet toddlers, and someone shows up to say "look pretty and playful, you're on camera!" Now imagine what Dolly thought, and you'll understand her very inactive video. "Please. I am exhausted. I just want to sit here and be adored. Pet me, but for the love of Friskies, please do NOT ask me to exercise in any way, shape, or form. Oh, and WHEN. ARE. THEY. BEING . ADOPTED?!?! I need some rest. Please. I am begging you. Just let me nap for ONE SEC... oh no, they are pouncing on my tail again...." We do think Dolly, who is only about a year old, will be happy to play once the kittens have moved on to their new homes. But if you want to just offer her a warm and cozy, QUIET sunspot for the first week or two, she would worship you forever. Dolly hasn't yet been tested with other cats and dogs (really, 5 rambunctious kitten roomies are ENOUGH for right now), but we will be able to do so soon, as those kittens will be moving on out. Now it's Dolly's turn! All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Dolly is a suggested minimum of $60 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. We still have two of our adorable Country Singers litter available - an early 2026 litter of kittens, born about 4/22/26 and surrendered by their owner to our shelter. WILLIE- male, DSH tabby, brown nose, white muzzle, throat, lots of white on back legs MERLE- male, DSH tabby white spot on nose, white chin/throat, white feet These boys would love a home together, but are also happy to split up and meet whatever existing pets you already have! They are young enough that they should adapt fine with proper introductions. We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome. Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies." All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $85 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing Hotdog This lucky boy, born about 4/19/26, originally was destined for a less-than-cushy working life as a barn kitty... but somewhere along the way, he let us know he would much prefer to be someone's adored family member, and who are we to say no to such a sweet plea. While Hotdog may be very slightly shy with strangers, once he knows you, he is a total love! He gets along fine with other cats, and is young enough he should be able to adapt to polite cat-friendly dogs with a slow introduction. He would prefer to avoid screaming toddler parties, but gentle children with soft voices who love to curl up and read with a kitty would be OK for Hotdog. We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Meet Tink, a beautiful and incredibly sweet lady who is looking for her perfect forever home! This wonderful girl came to us during a very busy chapter of her life—she was pregnant and dealing with an injured eye that the vet ultimately decided was best to remove. Through it all, Tink has been a total trooper, and losing the eye hasn't slowed her down or dampened her spirits one bit. Tink is a massive fan of human attention and loves nothing more than soaking up all the affection you can give her. When she is not busy being a professional cuddler, she transforms into a total goofball who loves playing with wand toys. Watching her hunt and pounce with her unique perspective is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Tink knows she is the only pet any home needs, and would prefer to not share her space with another indoor cat (she is, honestly, a bit of a bully with other cats), or a (shudder) DOG. She promises to fill every one of your pet-needs without batting, well, an eye. Because of her limited vision, Tink needs to be a strictly indoor cat. She is more than happy to trade the outdoor elements for a cozy windowsill, a warm lap, and a lifetime of indoor adventures. If you are looking for a fun, loving, and resilient companion to brighten up your world, Tink is ready to fill your heart with joy! All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Tink is a suggested minimum of $60 (more gratefully accepted). Story
Comet is a soft and loving, but anxious 11 yr old cat. She will be 12 on August 15th and doesn't have a bad bone in her body. She is loving with everyone and has never even hissed at a soul. She has lived with other cats her whole life. My wife passed away in April and I have to sell my house and move to Texas and cannot take her with me. She has fur as soft as a bunny and is fit and a good weight. She has free fed her whole life, but I like to spoil her and give her a gravy pack every other day. She loves chin scratches and back rubs, and she would sleep in you lap all day if she could. She was my wife's kitty for sure, but loves everyone as long as they are calm when approaching. She is specifically indoors, because she is a little scared of the outdoors. She just got a check up, teeth cleaning and extraction, and her rabies vaccine this month. I would like to find the perfect family because she deserves it.
