Story
***NOTE: This pet is currently at the shelter in Republic, WA, and can be delivered to an approved adopter on our 9/19/26 adopted pet transport to Monroe, WA to begin a 30-day trial placement part of our distance adoption program.*** Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing Dolly This beautiful shorthaired tabby/white girl is SO ready for a home of her own. Picture this. You're a young single mother of very active quintuplet toddlers, and someone shows up to say "look pretty and playful, you're on camera!" Now imagine what Dolly thought, and you'll understand her very inactive video. "Please. I am exhausted. I just want to sit here and be adored. Pet me, but for the love of Friskies, please do NOT ask me to exercise in any way, shape, or form. Oh, and WHEN. ARE. THEY. BEING . ADOPTED?!?! I need some rest. Please. I am begging you. Just let me nap for ONE SEC... oh no, they are pouncing on my tail again...." We do think Dolly, who is only about a year old, will be happy to play once the kittens have moved on to their new homes. But if you want to just offer her a warm and cozy, QUIET sunspot for the first week or two, she would worship you forever. Dolly hasn't yet been tested with other cats and dogs (really, 5 rambunctious kitten roomies are ENOUGH for right now), but we will be able to do so soon, as those kittens will be moving on out. Now it's Dolly's turn! All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Dolly is a suggested minimum of $60 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

These kittens, born about 4/22/26, arrived with their mama Honey, after spending their first several weeks trying to survive as strays. Right now, they are pretty scared and unsure of what the future holds, but we know as soon as their lucky new families choose them and bring them home, they will quickly realize that humans (and all the baggage that comes with humans) are pretty darn great. They are all quite handleable, just scared and needing a little reassurance. This litter includes: FUZZY - male orange tabby WUZZY - male grey BUZZY - female grey tabby (ADOPTED) We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome. Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies." All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $70 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! ***NOTE: This pet is currently at the shelter in Republic, WA, and can be delivered to an approved adopter on our 9/19/26 adopted pet transport to Monroe, WA to begin a 30-day trial placement – part of our distance adoption program.*** Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Introducing our Beach (born 5/10/26) and Aquarium (born 6/1/26) kittens, former members of a feral colony on which we did Trap-Neuter-Return. These adorable little ones were friendly enough to transfer into the adoption program! The kittens in these groups are: BEACH GROUP (these two were a few weeks older at intake so are still pretty shy around strangers - and cameras - but for people they know, they are purr-monsters): CRAB - female black/white shorthair SEASHELL - female tabico (tabby-calico) shorthair AQUARIUM GROUP (very friendly and outgoing): DAMSEL - female black shorthair CARDINAL - male brown/black tabby shorthair DOTTYBACK - female grey tabby/white shorthair CLOWN - male grey/white shorthair GOBY - male black mediumhair TANG - female black/white shorthair The Aquarium group should integrate quickly into pretty much any sort of family; our Beach pair would likely prefer homes without boisterous toddlers or in-your-face dogs. All, of course, are great with other cats. We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. Story
Introducing Misfit, one of 15 cats and kittens who found themselves homeless and in need of the shelter after their owner died with no "succession plan" in place for these babies. Thankfully, family members were able to help us figure out the approximate ages for the adults, and they were better socialized than one would expect in a family with so many cats. The adults as a whole lived as indoor-outdoor cats, so could be placed in similar situations, though the orange kitties do not have very safe coloring for areas with predators (indeed, there is a reason only two of the cats from this household are seniors, and the rest are all 3 or younger - indoor/outdoor lives do shorten most cats' lifespans). They did not live with dogs, but so far do not seem terribly perturbed about the dogs they see from their screened Meow Manor porch area, so should be able to adapt to homes with polite, cat-savvy canines. Obviously, they are all quite used to living with other cats! Misfit, with an estimated date of birth of 3/1/2024, is a shorthaired orange tabby boy who looks like he may be the crew foreman for his feline family. He leans in for petting, but also has an independent air about him, giving the impression he is trying hard to not care whether you love him or not (but he REALLY REALLY DOES care, shhhhh). He deserves to be someone's special boy, and we think he would love to pretend that he isn't reveling in the soft and fluffy feeling of sleeping on your bed. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Misfit is a suggested minimum of $60 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! Story
Georgina and Wilhelmina (FIV+) are bonded cats of the tabby tuxedo variety. They are a mom and daughter duo. Super shy but with the right person to help her come out of her shell she will thrive. A quiet household willing to slowly work with her will be beneficial. Kids and dogs and loud noises are not ideal. These girls will greatly benefit from a small space the gradually gets bigger as their confidence and understanding of their new home grows. They are treat motivated and with patience will come to show you great affection. Georgina and Wilhelmina are microchipped, viral tested, vaccinated, recently had a dental and is ready for adoption.

Story
Meet Puddy Cat, a senior male cat with a stunning Flame Point coat. Despite his age, Puddy Cat is full of energy and love to give. This sweet feline may be a little older, but he still has many years of companionship and cuddles to offer. Puddy Cat is here with his bonded siblings and you can see the love they have for each other when you come visit. Puddy Cat can usually be found lounging in a sunny spot, or curled up in a dark cave. He has a giant purr and whilst he may make rumble growls he really just wants your love. As part of the Purrfect Pals family, Puddy Cat has been altered, microchipped, and thoroughly tested for any viral infections - all to ensure that he is in the best possible health for his new forever home. If you are interested in adopting this handsome flame point and his litter mates, please complete a pre-adoption application - Puddy Cat and his siblings can't wait to find his perfect match and settle into his new home. Story
Sherman and his bonded sister, Sissy, were brought to Purrfect Pals as their owner sadly had passed away. This wonderful brother and sister are so sweet and ready to have a family to love them forever! Sherman is a bit of an introvert and he is timid and shy until he gets to know you. Sherman loves to scratch on a tall scratching post and nap in sunny spots in the house. Sherman and Sissy would benefit from being adopted by a cat saavy person, who understands that it will take them time to settle into a new home and routine. Sherman and Sissy have been viral tested, vaccinated, neutered/spayed, and micro-chippped. Please put in an application for this amazing pair today!
