Story
**Meet Kelsi this Saturday, September 30th from 10 to 1:00 at Dublin Petsmart West, 6960 Amador Plaza Rd.** Kelsi the Cutie! Meet Kelsi - as cute as a button 35 pound border collie mix. She looks like a little button with her adorable black eyes and her happy face. And once you meet her - you'll be totally smitten! KELSI LOVES EVERYONE from her foster mom and human friends to her canine foster sister. From the moment she met her - Kelsi snuggled up with her canine foster sister and followed her everywhere. She is a lover - kisses galore to anyone who will let her. She already is starting to learn basic commands from her very experienced foster mom - including sit, down and wait and sleeps in her crate all night until she lets her foster mom know that it's time to go Potty. Kelsi is a great little dog and will make a wonderful, loving companion. We are looking for a home for this precious girl who will give her love, attention and work with her on her training skills. ## See video of Kelsi at the end of the photo gallery! ## If you're interested in Kelsi - an application is required. You can submit one by Just clicking the "Apply For Adoption box " located below Kelsi's adorable photos on the right side. Story
This little girl is the life of the party. She is so happy and exuberant greeting everyone who comes into the rescue. She is tall and lanky but thin. With her people, she is very loving and likes sitting on/with her person as much as possible. She gets along well with the pooches in the rescue, but, unfortunately, recently on walks, she has lunged at people & dogs. She obviously requires a strong hand that can train & socialize her walking manners, as she never offers to nip, but can sound ferocious until reminded to shush. She is very young and that usually means very trainable. Since she came to us from a shelter, we are not sure how much, if any, training she has received. If you think she might fit into your home, please visit WrenYorkieRescue.org, click Forms, fill out the adoption application and mail in or submit online so that we can set up a meet and greet! She will love to meet you!!!!

Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $600   Donald is a 1 year old Yorkie mix who was surrendered to the shelter with his Mickey Mouse Clubhouse pal Daisy. We do not know why Donald was left behind at the shelter but we know that his future has been bright ever since we scooped him out of his cage and showed him the new life he had in front of him. Donald has the best of the terrier personality: he is loving, energetic, and has never met a stranger! Donald is looking for a home to give him his Disney happily ever after and thinks that home could be you!   Below is a note from Donald's foster. 'Donald has so many special titles I had to make a list, I couldn't name just one! Below are some features he comes with. The Lovebug 5000: Donald isn't picky with his affection. He genuinely loves everyone he meets and greets them with over-the-top enthusiasm (and sometimes even a kiss or two) Dance Maestro: When Donald spots his beloved humans, he graces them with a tippy tap dance and it melts our hearts every time we see it Walker Extraordinaire: Donald is fantastic on a leash and is ready for all of the adventures life has in store for him! Dream Taste Tester: Donald is extremely food motivated and will eat just about anything, so he is super easy to train. Looking to recipe test? This is your guy! Donald wakes up at 7 AM and goes into the yard for fresh air and a potty break. Once done, he comes inside for his favorite meal of the day (breakfast), wagging his tail and pleading with us to go faster through his puppy dog eyes. Post-breakfast, he plays and socializes with his foster siblings. He's a social butterfly and adores other dogs, so they spend the day making memories as they chase each other around the yard. After I return from work, he goes back into the yard for playtime and a good tanning session. Donald sleeps happily in his crate all night before getting up the next day to do it all over again! Donald is truly a once-in-a-lifetime kind of dog. He is silly, spunky, loving, and adventurous all packaged into one tiny little body. Any home would be made brighter with Donald in it!'   Donald is an option for any home that is ready for an energetic and loving new member. Kids in the home should be over the age of 5. September 28, 2023, 11:22 pm

This petite gal may have had a rough start to her life that we wish we could ask her about, but she is eager to get started on the new life we promised her!    Below is a note from her foster.    “Gemma is a quiet and very affectionate pup. It took her a few days to get used to our house when she came from the shelter but on Day 3 she came out of her shell and started seeking us out when she wanted to show us love.    Gemma wakes up at around 7 AM. She gets three walks a day: 8:30 AM, 4 PM, and 9 PM. She eats at 9 AM and 6 PM. During the day she hangs out in the house with our dog and gets her tan on.   Gemma is a lounger but she still shows off her playful side! She gets along with our 15 month old Jack Russel mix and we sometimes spot them play wrestling which is very cute. She does very well on walks and loves going outside. Gemma is working on her behavior skills, and will need some help handling some food guarding tendencies.”   Gemma is only an option for those who have owned a dog in the past, with emphasis placed on those who have experience with shy dogs. Kids in the home should be over the age of 10.September 28, 2023, 11:22 pm

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $700   Juicy Couture is a 4 year old Maltese x Yorkie mix who was surrendered to our rescue after a good samaritan saved her from a domestic violence situation. This girl may have had a rough start to her life, but she has begun to show us her amazing personality since she has come into our rescue. Juicy Couture has been learning all about what it means to be a dog and to live her life to the fullest, and now she is ready to join your home and show you how special she is! Juicy has a hypoallergenic coat and is an option for those with allergies.    Below is a note from Juicy's foster.   'Juicy is a total sweetheart. She loves attention and loves being around her people, but isn't a velcro dog. She just likes knowing that you are around to hang out with her when you have time. She now sleeps in a dog bed where she can keep an eye on us for most of the day which suits all of us perfectly! She has been great when meeting other dogs, a bit shy at first but then relaxes and wants to make new friends! She has also been good at meeting new people as long as they give her a minute to get adjusted. She sleeps a lot of the day but has the funniest zoomies a couple of times daily where she runs around with her tongue sticking out, so funny! Our favorite thing about her is how happy she is when we come home. If we sit on the floor, she will climb into our lap and try to lick our cheeks and chins!   Juicy wakes up around 8 AM and goes outside to go potty before coming inside for breakfast. She tends to graze at her food throughout the day rather than eating a whole meal for breakfast or dinner. During the day, we work from home and she is often content to nap the day away, taking breaks to play with her toys or get the occasional zoomie. The highlight of her day is her walks, which happen around 6 PM every day. After her walk, we come home and she spends some time playing with us before she heads to bed around 11 PM.    Juicy is the best 'leash dog' I've ever fostered. She has never been afraid to go on a walk, no matter how new the area, and she doesn't pull at all. She has been perfectly housetrained since day one and can hold it for 8-10 hours at night, which is great! She also isn't a barker. We didn't hear her voice at all for two weeks, and now we only hear vocalizations when she is doing her zoomies. She is also very smart and would be a fast learner!'   Juicy is an option for just about any home, as long as they are willing to give her time to settle in. Kids in the home should be over the age of 10, because she is a smaller gal and loud younger kids might overwhelm her!    September 28, 2023, 11:22 pm

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $700   Roger is a 3 year old Yorkie mix who was surrendered to the shelter when his former owners went back to work full time in the office and decided they no longer had the time to take care of a dog. Roger is an absolute darling and won the hearts of all the volunteers at intake when he arrived, and has been lighting up his fosters' days ever since he arrived at their home! Roger has a lighter shedding coat, so he is an option for those who are looking for a lower-shedding option in the home.   Below is a note from Rogers' foster.   'Once we brought Roger home, gave him lots of pets, treats and baby talk -- he opened up to us quickly! He was super loving, gave kisses, allowed us to hold him, pet him and even bathe him on the same day! Roger now follows me from room to room and likes to be where I am. Sometimes he is very much a velcro dog where you peel him off of you because he just wants so much of your attention, but most other times he's just chilling on the couch, on the dog bed, or on the carpet nearby within sight. I have a small senior mix dog. They get along with each other very well. Roger is respectful of my dog's age. They occasionally play together for maybe 5-10 minutes 1x time a day and lounge around for the rest of the day. It's the sweetest when they sleep near each other or walk side by side for walks.   Roger sleeps in his crate at night and wakes up between 6-7am for breakfast in his crate. After he finishes his food, we let him out into the yard for his potty break. He hangs out in his kennel until I return from work at around 3pm, where he is let out for another potty break. He hangs around the house with his foster brother until around 5pm where he'll then have dinner in his crate. Roger and his foster brother go for a walk around the block and then they hang out on the couch for the rest of the evening with us. When it's bedtime, Roger goes for a quick final pee break and then snoozes in his crate for the rest of the night.  I suspect Roger can be very playful if in the right household. He has been great on walks and great when meeting other dogs and humans. I have seen him play with toys and do zoomies in the yard. As we have a senior dog and our household tends to be more low key, Roger follows our schedule. Few spurt moments of playing and then just hanging out on the couch or floor nearby. We love that Roger is SO adaptable. I sense that he can be such a playful and energetic dog, but he's able to just vibe with any situation he's in and we love that about him. We secretly think he mimics our dog, tries to be him so he too can be the bestest boy for his forever home.'   Roger is an option for just about any kind of home, as long as they are prepared to gain his trust and love. Kids in the home should be over the age of 8 and respectful of quieter dogs.   September 28, 2023, 11:22 pm

Story
Tato is an older dog who would love a quiet home with older kids. He LOVES snuggling on the couch and gives occasional kisses to show he is happy being safe and loved. He has bursts of energy and seems to like other lower energy dogs. Tato needs more socialization with people and dogs in his new forever. He is fearful in the beginning and especially doesn’t like small children running at him, or pulling on his fur. Tato has been neutered, microchipped and is up to date on his vaccines. Bring home this little potato today! All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for private and/or group training at no additional cost to help ensure a successful adoption. To meet Tato, fill out our short adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Once an application is filled out, our volunteers will reach out to you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet and greet.
