Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption fee: $750   Meet Stars & Stripes – The Sweetest Gals in Town!       Stars and Stripes are two darling 9–10 week old Yorkie mix sisters who came to us after being abandoned in the Central Valley — but you’d never guess it from their cheerful spirits and loving hearts. These girls have blossomed beautifully in their foster home, transforming from a bit shy to sweet, playful pups who radiate affection and charm.       Their days are a gentle rhythm of potty breaks, zoomies, cuddles, and naps. Mornings are all about playtime and breakfast after a backyard potty break, followed by mid-morning snuggles and snoozes in their cozy playpen. They enjoy lunch around noon, more playtime, and by evening, they love winding down with a 'walk' (or a puppy sling ride!), more cuddles, and bedtime in their shared playpen. They sleep soundly through the night— no midnight mischief here!       Personality Snapshot:       Star (the leader of the duo) is clever, curious, and a little bossy in the most endearing way. She learns quickly, voices her opinion with a bark or two if she’s left behind, and will warm up once she feels secure. Star is the first to figure things out and has a thinner, more delicate build.       Stripe is calm, sweet, and a touch reserved. She’s often the first to greet new visitors and charms everyone with her gentle gaze and innocent expression. Stripe is happy to follow Star’s lead but also perfectly content to nap in her bed and observe the world with quiet curiosity.       They’re both incredibly affectionate, enjoying short cuddle sessions, chin scratches, and soft belly rubs. While they’re not true velcro pups, they’ll always be nearby— whether snoozing in the same room or quietly playing while keeping an eye on their humans.       Good Pup Report:       *Doing great with potty training – Star prefers the grass, Stripe knows her way around a potty pad.       *Sleep through the night in their playpen without a peep.       *Excellent with the resident senior dogs and respectful of their space.       *Show only mild digging behavior (quickly redirected), and chew only on appropriate toys.       *Minimal barking, usually just to say 'Good Morning!' or if Star’s feeling left out.       These girls aren’t wild balls of energy— they’re more of the “morning zoomies, afternoon loungers” variety. They love to play but tire easily, making them great fits for homes looking for calm and snuggly companions over all-day athletes.           Why adopt Stars or Stripes?   Because they’re dream puppies. Sweet, snuggly, well-mannered for their age, and full of potential. Their foster family says they’re some of the easiest, most lovable puppies they’ve had—and when you feel one of them melt into your chest during a cuddle, you’ll understand exactly why.       Bonus:   When you pick up Star or Stripe, you’ll be treated to one of the most heart-melting sights imaginable: a tiny pup looking up into your eyes with complete trust and love. It’s a moment that will stay with you forever.July 14, 2025, 7:16 pm

To be considered for adoption, pls submit an application in advance.   Adoption fee: $750 Meet Velvet! This 8-9 week old Yorkie/Border Terrier mix was rescued from the shelter and has quickly blossomed into the sweetest little companion you could imagine. She weighs all of 4 lbs! With her soft fur, soulful eyes, and gentle heart, Velvet truly lives up to her name.   Velvet starts her day with a wag and a smile, enjoys her breakfast, and then fills her morning with playful bursts of energy— exploring her space, playing with her toys, and showering her people with affection. After her fun, she happily transforms into the coziest little couch potato, curling up nearby while you work, cook, or relax. She loves simply being close and is the definition of a “Velcro dog,” following her favorite people from room to room.   Velvet was shy when she first arrived but quickly warmed up and revealed her curious, loving, and playful nature. She’s pee pad trained, sleeps peacefully at night, and has been a calm, quiet presence in her foster home—rarely barking, never digging, and only gently chewing on her favorite dragon toy (especially when she’s teething or feeling a little lonely).   Her ideal forever home? A calm, loving family who wants a loyal shadow by their side. She’d do well with gentle children or other pets after proper introductions. She’s not quite ready for walks yet but will love exploring once her vaccinations are complete.   Velvet is a special kind of dog— the kind who nestles into your heart without you even noticing. She’s the one who’ll curl up while you cook, sleep peacefully by your feet, and greet you with quiet joy every time you come home. If you’re looking for a gentle, devoted best friend, Velvet is waiting for you.July 13, 2025, 11:11 am

To be considered for adoption, pls submit an application in advance.   Adoption fee: $750 Meet Hummingbird — a delicate, soulful little Yorkie mix with a heart as tender as her name. At 2 years old and just 12 pounds, Hummingbird was rescued from a shelter and has been learning how to trust, love, and feel safe again — one gentle cuddle at a time.   When she first arrived, Hummingbird was shut down — sleeping often and tucking her tail. But with kindness, patience, and time, she’s begun to unfold her wings. Day by day, she’s revealed a loving, affectionate, and deeply loyal personality. Her tail has even started to wag, and she now seeks out human affection — often curling up on a warm lap for hours at a time, snuggling close while you work or relax. She’s a classic velcro dog, happiest when near her person, and always quietly keeping you in sight — like a little shadow with fur.   Hummingbird is still learning that the world isn’t so scary. She’s cautious outdoors and may freeze or need to be carried when she feels overwhelmed, especially on walks. Loud noises, unfamiliar places, or new dogs can make her anxious. But once she knows she’s safe, her fear melts into sweetness. In one of her two foster homes, she barked in fear at a resident dog at first — but within two days, she was snuggling and coexisting peacefully. She’ll thrive in a home with another calm, friendly pup to help show her the ropes — or as a solo dog in a quiet, loving environment.   Though she’s not yet a toy player or park explorer, she gets excited when you greet her sweetly, offers tiny kisses when you're on the yoga mat, and watches from the kitchen hoping for treats. Her joy is subtle but growing. She sleeps curled in dog beds or snuggled next to you on the couch and loves being part of the daily rhythm of your life.   Hummingbird is working on housetraining. She has used potty pads successfully and has shown improvement over time and with routine. She barks occasionally in greeting but is not a frequent barker otherwise.   Her ideal home? A calm, patient adopter who will give her the time and space she needs to blossom. A family (with or without respectful kids), or a single person who wants a devoted snuggle companion. Someone committed to helping her feel secure on slow, gentle walks. Another well-mannered dog could help her confidence bloom even faster.   Why Hummingbird? Because once she trusts you, she’ll give you her whole heart. She’s gentle, snuggly, affectionate, and absolutely beautiful — inside and out. With a little time and a lot of love, she’ll reward you with quiet loyalty, warm lap cuddles, and a love that’s deep and real.   Let this sweet little soul land gently in your life — and stay.July 12, 2025, 1:25 am

Story
**Meet Ken Saturday, July 12th from 10 to 1 at Dublin Petsmart west, 6960 Amador Plaza Rd.** We just adore Ken! We love to watch him play and follow his canine pal around the house. He was very shy when he arrived at the shelter and he is becoming so comfortable now that he's living in a caring foster home with other friendly dogs. Ken has an adorable Yorkie face and ears with a mottled grey coat and long legs. He weighs just under 8 pounds. We can't imagine how this little sprite ended up on his own. He has been a nice companion and guest to his foster family. He is house trained, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. If you're interested in Ken, you can submit an application by clicking the "Apply For Adoption box " located below his photos on the right side.
