Story
Now that she has recovered from her eye removal and dental, Wanda is ready to find her forever home! She is 12 years old and weighs 19lbs. We are guessing she is a Miniature Schnauzer/Yorkshire Terrier mix. Wanda has never met a stranger. She happily greets everyone she meets with tail wags and sometimes kisses. She does great with other dogs, both big and small. We believe she would do well with anyone in her forever home, including kids, cats, and other dogs. Wanda’s foster family says that she is very laid back and mellow. However, she gets super excited for meal time! She will occasionally try to play outside with her foster parents or with the other dogs in the home, but these bursts of playfulness are few and far between. She is less of a lap dog than her buddies, Willis and Naomi, and instead prefers to sleep in a dog bed on the floor. Wanda does not require a kennel and sleeps in a dog bed on the floor all night. She does not have potty accidents in the house, but only as long as she is taken out regularly, as she will not alert her fosters when she needs to go out. She had to have her right eye removed, but her vision is normal out of her left. Due to her age, her hearing is not where it used to be, but she is not deaf. Wanda is a chill, independent girl who her foster family says someone will be lucky to have. If you are interested in adopting this sweet senior, please visit rescuerowinc.org to fill out an application! *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##1849749##

Story
Update 11/22/2023 We are excited to announce that 12 year old, 9lb Naomi is ready to find her forever home! She is fully healed from her spay, tumor excision, and full teeth removal. Her foster mom says that she does not have a mean bone in her body and is just the sweetest little girl! Naomi wants nothing more than to be with her person. She is her foster mom’s little shadow and a total lap dog. Because of this, her ideal forever home would be with someone who is home most of the time. We also recommend this because Naomi does not have potty accidents in the house, but only as long as she is taken out periodically throughout the day. Naomi is great with other dogs of all sizes and has even started to try to play a little with her canine foster siblings. She also loves to snuggle up with them for a good nap. Her demeanor suggests that she would also do well with cats, although she has not been officially tested. Naomi is a dainty little girl who loves to be held. She would do best without young children in the home due to her age and size. We mentioned earlier that Naomi had to have all of her teeth pulled, but she eats like a champ regardless! She eats softened dog kibble with canned food mixed in, so she is not on any kind of special diet. Naomi can see and hear, but both senses are not the best due to her age and the neglect she has faced. She sleeps in bed with her foster parents, and they trust her out in the house when they run errands. We are guessing that Naomi is a Yorkshire Terrier mix. To submit an application to adopt this sweet senior girl, please visit www.rescuerowinc.org! Story
Meet Joe Jo, a precious 2 year old,9 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only TX applicants will be considered. In the past few months my true personality is shining through. I am a very HAPPY boy all the time. I wake up happy, happy all day until it is sleepy time. I get to sleep anywhere I like and I like people beds, doggie beds, pillows on top of doggie crates, the couch, loveseat and recliner here. I still do not like crates. I can be snuggly too and I love to give out kisses. I LOVE all kinds of toys and Nyla bones. I do not deconstruct plush toys but do like to steal them from the other dogs. That is my mission sometimes to make sure I have all the toys. I do not take all of them out of the toy box these days and just pick out a few every day to play with. I do not play with items I should not, like shoes. I will just steal some things and put them in the toy box and usually it is Foster Moms bandanas and socks. I am a fabulous eater and I take treats from you gently but I will drop it and watch to see if the other dogs here do not want their cookie and try and steal it until FM tells me to go eat my own cookie. I love going outside (when it is not scorching hot) and explore the yard, chase bugs, try and catch grasshoppers and fireflies when they were in season. I am quite comical to watch especially when I get the zoomies outside and inside too. You see I have some fast legs and am quick. I am still not to comfortable with a harness and leash and that is something we are working on but it has been too hot to really do some lead walking. The weather is breaking so maybe I will get to walk in our very rural neighborhood. I am not fully potty trained and we are still working on that so I still wear those belly band fashion accessories inside the house. Sometimes the band is wet and sometimes it is not. I do wait at the door when I come in from outside so you can band me up. I am an easy going guy when it comes to baths. I do not love them but I do not hate and fight them either. The groomer I went to a while back said that I was a dream to groom, that I just let her do her job and I did not fight anything she did. I am a good guy too when you leave for errands. I just take a nap and wait until you get back home. I will always be the first one to greet you at the door and if you bring bags home I will want to stick my nose in it to see if you got anything for us dogs but will not take anything out of the bags even if it is a Ribeye steak

Story
Meet Molly, a very sweet 13 year old, 12 pound Yorkie girl being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Molly here and I have had a few weeks to decompress at my new foster home. I have been able to tell Foster Mom a little about myself and how I got here. The only Mommy I have known my whole life had to move someplace that did not allow pets. So Mommy reached out to United Yorkie Rescue and naturally UYR said of course we can help you and Molly. The first thing FM did was get me in to see the Dogter as it has been a bit since I have seen one. I weighed in at 12 and 1/2 pounds. I got all my shots updated, had a couple of lumps and bumps on my body and my toofers and mouth looked at. . I did lose a couple of toofers but that sure did not stop my appetite and the tooth loss was expected. The Dogter thinks I am about 10 years old so I am still a young soul at heart. I have been spayed. I am now UTD with my vaccinations. I have a microchip. I also am heartworm negative and taking Nexguard and Heartguard monthly. So I am the entire package ready to go to my furever home. I just need a spa day to get more cute. It would be great if my new furever Parent worked from home or is retired as I do have some separation anxiety and will bark if left alone so maybe if I had a dog sibling I would not bark but an apartment is absolutely out of the question if I am by myself. It would be nice to have a backyard with a secure fence to explore and relax in. I like to explore and sunbathe. I could be a single dog or have a sibling or two as I get along with the other 4 dogs here as long as they are about 20 pounds or less. I play with toys but not that often and FM says that I am a follower and not a leader. I walk well on a harness. I come when you call me. I love my cookies and treats. I am pretty mellow and not one bit hyper. I would be just as happy being a couch potato next to you on the sofa channel surfing, taking a walk or being your gardening supervisor. I also am totally potty trained to go outside or use a peepad at night. I havent had one accident since I have been here. No kids under 12 please. You can email FM at stickhors@gmail.com with any questions. My application is at the bottom of my page so please send one in if your looking for a mellow easy going girl with lots and lots of love to give.

Story
Hello, my name is Pumpkin Pie and I am around 4-5 years old. I am in love with people and want to be around you all of the time. I get a little antsy when I cannot see you. I am fine after a while. When my foster mom is at work, I stay in the crate for a few hours and do very well. I also sleep all night in my crate with no accidents. I am still working on being fully potty trained but getting better everyday. I have a lot of energy and get my exercise on daily walks. I love my walks!! I get along with my foster siblings who at times show me how to calm down. My fur is precious, if I may say so myself! I do not shed and I have heard I have a super cute bottom. I am playful and like to be a bit mouthy but it's all play. I need an active family who will take me on walks and be willing to share your lap for down time. Story
Chip Grey is a 4 year old Schnauzer Yorkie mix with a sweet, funny personality to make your heart melt.  He loves to play with his foster brothers and sisters... but his favorite thing to do is sit in your lap and sleep right next to you!  He insists!  If you're watching tv or reading, he wants to be right next to you or in your lap.  He welcomes you home with bounces!   Chip loves toys and sitting at the window or door to see people go by. He walks great on a leash and does excellent on car rides.  He does shed some but with regular brushing his coat is lovely. Chip would be an ideal companion for a loving couple or individual - but in exchange he will need three things:  1)  Time to adjust to you and your home.  2) Trust that you won't let random people pick him up just becuase he's cute and little 3) Time to adjust to you and your home (bears repeating).  If you do these things you'll have a dog who'll love you unconditionally.   ****Prior to filling out an application or contacting RHS, please completely read the instructions below.**** ALL ADOPTERS/FOSTERS MUST LIVE WITHIN 60 MILES OF RICHARDSON, TX. ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Gayle is the cutest, spunkiest, sassiest girl around! This little 15 lb doll showed up at RT4P “possibly pregnant”…. And guess what she was! Gayle had 3 super cute pups who are now looking for their own forever homes! Gayle is approx 4 years and she was missing 2 of her front teeth when she arrived. Then she recently had a dental and lost 2 more front teeth. We joke that Gayle will be singing “all i want for Christmas is my front teeth” but we think it just adds character to this little cutie. Gayle loves her ball, and dancing on her hind legs when she wants something. She loves to go for car rides and her favorite place to nap is on the back of the couch where she can look out the window periodically. Gayle is not shy at all but it will take her a few minutes to warm up to new people. She needs to get to know you before she trust you like she does her foster mom. She loves to jump on her foster moms bed and chase her hand before she rolls over for a belly rub. If you would like to meet Gayle, the first step in the process is to complete an application. ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Angel is an adorable Maltese mix with a beautiful, all white coat. She loves to snuggle and be with her person at all times. At 8 pounds, she almost qualifies as a purse dog. Although she looks meek, she has a mighty personality. She loves walking on a leash and playing with stuffies. Angel potties outside, but like all small dogs, she needs regular reminders. At her foster home, she lived with other small dogs and a cat and is mostly indifferent to them, as she loves to be the queen. Angel has been spayed and had a dental. She will need regular grooming to maintain her beautiful coat. If you would like to meet Angel, the first step in the process is to complete an application.
