Story
Tobi may no longer be in the prime of his dog years but try telling him that. He's a little dog with a lot of sass. If he wants attention, he will give a little back. If he's hungry, he's going to huff & stare at you until you get your act together. He doesn't have many teeth left, but the ones he has he puts to good use. He loves treats and soft dog food. He is very exuberant about his treats, so you have to watch your fingers or one of the few teeth he has left might catch you. Tobi has no problem with other dogs and cats but would prefer a more mellow atmosphere. Due to his age, he urinates quite a bit, so he will have to go out often, but he does his very best to go potty outside. However, accidents do happen. Tobi may also have some vision problems. While he still seems to have his sight, it is impaired, kind of the Mr. Magoo of dogs, but he manages to get around. He does fairly well with small sets of stairs but will stumble if he gets too excited or his eyes misguide him. That being said, he is a happy little guy looking for a welcoming place to live out his golden years.#483538

Story
Katie is almost 7 years old, having spent her first 6 years in a puppy mill. She will require a human with patience and gentleness as sudden noises put her on alert. A home far away from fireworks would be best. She is fostered in a home with both dogs and cats & gets along with all.Earning her trust is not an immediate event, but once you do, she will want to be by your side nearly all the time. Her favorite place to eat is next to her human. As well as sleeping in the same bed.`Outside` is becoming more familiar and knows doing her business outside makes her human happy. She also uses the pads inside and her groomer describes her as `a very good girl`.Even though she hasn`t really figured out `toys` yet, she is very treat motivated. She is being fostered in Hammond IndianaApply to adopt at nbstr.org

Story
Meet Abby! Abby is a female Yorkie who is 4 years young and weighs ~ 10 pounds. We rescued Abby from a Puppy Mill on Halloween 2024, only to find out this beautiful girl was pregnant. As Abby responsibly put her dreams of finding her forever family on hold, she delivered and cared for 5 beautiful babies! Go Abby!! Abby is now planning her life as an empty nester and is yearning to find her humans. Abby is a gentle soul. She is a quiet girl, can be a bit shy at first, but is working on coming out of her puppy mill PTSD and weaning puppies, and showing huge signs of becoming a social, loving, and great girl. Part of this transition means Abby is working on her basic training. She has shown no aggression toward humans, just a gentle soul. Abby will be fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed soon. Please consider making this beautiful and loving girl part of your life. *Please Note: If you are interested in Fostering to Adopt also, please reach out. An Adoption fee of $550 is required. Abby is being fostered in Lake County IL. Please reach out to Jill Clark on FB messenger, or jilljclark20@gmail.com, or 847-772-2098. Also feel free to complete the adoption application at: www.tinypawssmalldogrescue.org or open link to apply: https://www.cognitoforms.com/TinyPawsSmallDogRescue1/AdoptionApplication

You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on February 7th and arrive on February 8th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 1/16/25 Dog Name: Pickles Sex: Female Spay Status: She is spayed  Estimated Breed Mix: Maltese/Terrier Mix Approximate Age: 1.5 years  Approximate Weight: 9 lbs Adoption Fee: $450 Description: Pickles and her two sweet babies were urgently in need of rescue and a safe place to stay, our Texas rescue partner stepped in quickly to make sure they wouldn’t have a grim fate! Pickles is so very sweet, she can be shy at first, likely because of the various sudden changes but she is absolutely adorable and ready for a second chance!   We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. January 17, 2025, 5:39 pm
