Story
Name: KincaidBreed: Pitt MixAge: 10/22/23 (2 years old)Sex: Male neuteredLocation: BuffaloWeight: 40lbsKincaid’s Story: A Tale of Hope and HeartOnce upon a time, there was a dog named Kincaid — though he didn’t always have that name. Before he was “Kincaid,” he was just another soul wandering the streets, scared and alone. He didn’t understand why he’d been left behind, why the people he loved were gone, or how he was supposed to survive on his own.The days were long, the nights were cold, and the world didn’t seem to have a place for him. He searched for food, for kindness, for someone to look past his tough exterior and see his gentle heart. But everywhere he went, people turned away. They saw a pit bull — and they saw “scary.” They didn’t see the loving, loyal boy behind those big, soulful eyes.Still, Kincaid never gave up. Like the Buffalo Bills, he believed that even when things looked bleak, there was always a chance to turn it around. One day, a kind man found him wandering and brought him to the shelter. Kincaid was relieved to finally be safe — but soon, he overheard the words that crushed his spirit: “No one wants him.” Days turned into weeks and nobody came for him. Then, one heartbreaking day, he heard the shelter staff whisper, “It’s time… no one’s interested. He’s taking up space.” Kincaid lowered his head, his hope flickering — until a woman stepped forward. She looked at him, really looked at him, and said, “I believe in you. You deserve a chance.” She named him Kincaid, after Dalton Kincaid of the Buffalo Bills — a player who always steps up when times get tough, who proves that determination and heart can change everything. And just like that, Kincaid’s story took its turn.Today, Kincaid is waiting for his forever home — one filled with warmth, laughter, and love. He’s a lover of people, life, and ear scratches. He’ll greet you with a wagging tail, a grateful heart, and the spirit of a team that never quits.Kincaid is available for adoption now, ready to bring joy, hope, and unconditional love into your life. Because just like his namesake, when life gets tough, Kincaid steps up — and he’ll always be your loyal teammate. Kincaid is currently working on potty training, knows sit and walks well on a leash. If you are interested in Kincaid please apply at https://www.716paws.org/adopt or message the rescue on Facebook, if you're already approved.  ##2587304##

Story
Hey there My name is Bertie  but my friends call me Mr B. I am a young (1yr old) Pit bull mix & weigh just over 50lbs. I’m crate / house trained, walk well on a leash & love being close to my humans. I do need to be close to my human at all times but sleep all night in my crate without needing to go out. My foster dad calls me his shadow.  I live with him & have a cat sibling but she needs her own space as I’m too playful & wary of her   I like meeting new people but it takes me a minute to warm up. I like car rides & am working on not hugging everyone I meet. I love treats & am very food motivated! Which makes training easy   I am ready for a family of my own. Could that be with you? Apply to meet me at www.buffalounderdogs.com/adopt  Ps. I’m best suited to a quieter house with no young children, please! ##2353833##

Story
Dearest Gentle Reader, It has come to this author’s attention that a most enchanting young lady, Miss Hyacinth, seeks a forever family worthy of her considerable charms.  At just 11 months old, Hyacinth is: Crate & potty trained Dog friendly A snuggle enthusiast Clever (already knows “sit” and is eager to learn more!) With her natural prey drive, she requests no cats or small pets at her future estate. Hyacinth is still perfecting her leash skills and would be delighted by a home with a fenced in yard where she might stretch her legs with the freedom befitting a young lady of energy and spirit.  Though once betrothed to a family who could not see past the trials of her decompression period, Hyacinth has borne her return with grace. What she requires now is not just any suitor, but one who is patient, steadfast, and prepared to invest the time and devotion needed for her to blossom into her best self. Should you be fortunate enough to offer Miss Hyacinth the home she so richly deserves, you will find yourself in possession of a most loyal and loving companion.  Apply for this season’s diamond at www.buffalounderdogs.com/adopt ##2451844##

Story
Meet Polly – a special girl with a heart full of joy Boxer Mix | 60 lbs | 1.5 Years Old | Female Looking for a fun-loving, goofy, and affectionate addition to your family? Look no further — Polly is your girl! Polly is a 60-pound, nearly 2-year-old boxer mix with a huge heart and an even bigger personality. She's a sweet, playful, and delightfully rambunctious pup who’s always ready to bring joy and laughter into your life. Polly’s zest for life is downright contagious. Born with an extra toe that gives her a unique gait, Polly may move a little differently, but it doesn’t slow her down one bit. Her condition is easily managed with lifelong joint supplements, prescription food, regular nail trims, and some supportive toe grips or leg braces to keep her comfy and mobile. She’ll also need access to soft surfaces like grass, so a home with a fenced yard is a must for her continued comfort and safety. Because of her special needs please be aware Polly is a lifelong companion that will require a loving and dedicated owner that doesn’t mind continued monitoring and support for her condition. Polly is: Super dog friendly Crate trained Potty trained Non-destructive in the home Bursting with love and happiness She would be an excellent family dog, especially for families with kids over 13 (just due to her size and boxer play style). Polly would likely be best in a home without cats - her enthusiasm for play is too strong for them. If you're ready to meet a dog who’s equal parts silly, snuggly, and special, Polly is waiting to steal your heart. She’s not just a pet — she’s a loyal companion, a happy-go-lucky spirit, and the perfect addition to the right forever home. Apply to adopt Polly at buffalounderdogs.com today — she can’t wait to meet you! ##2523440##

Story
Introducing, Dixie Lynn! A sweet, 8-year-old, black and white pittie-potamus.   Dixie has never met a person she didn’t love, and absolutely adores kids. She is currently in a foster home with multiple children ranging from 7-1. Whether it’s snuggle time or greeting you with a full-body wiggle, this girl makes every moment brighter.  Dixie is wonderfully respectful in the home. She doesn’t chew on shoes, garbage, or any household items, and she’s a polite beggar who waits patiently without counter-surfing or sneaking food from the table. She just wants to be near her people and soak up all the love she can. Dixie does great in a fenced yard where she can explore and relax. Her leash manners are still a work in progress because she does not realize her size. She is redirected easily and she’s eager to learn and easy to motivate with affection and treats. Dixie is gentle, affectionate, and deeply loyal. She’s looking for a family who will enjoy her calm, loving nature and give her the cozy, stable home she deserves. If you’re ready for a devoted companion with endless love to give, Dixie is waiting to meet you! Apply at www.buffalounderdogs.com/adopt  ##2600093##

Story
T-Bone is the sweet senior pittie of your dreams! This gentle boy has been through so much but is still ALL heart. All he wants is to follow his people around all day and cuddle up on the couch for naps. He would absolutely love a home to call his own for Christmas!  ~12 years young dog friendly kid friendly, but due to his age we would recommend dog-savvy kiddos crate & house trained on a regular bathroom schedule After being found emaciated & running through traffic, we found out that T-Bone had heartworm. We assumed he would be a hospice foster but he did so well with his heartworm treatment, gained weight beautifully and is remarkably healthy for his age! He has so much life left in his years and we are so excited to find him a loving family to spend the rest of his time with!! If you would love to welcome this sweet senior into your home, apply at www.buffalounderdogs.com/adopt  ##2612077##
