Story
Castiel is a 2-year-old hound mix with a gentle soul and a soft, sweet personality. This handsome boy knows sit and takes life at a calmer, easygoing pace. He is interested in toys and treats, but he is not overly motivated by them — he is more of a “soft pets and good company” kind of guy. Castiel will come up to enjoy gentle affection and is very polite when soaking up attention. He came from a home with other dogs, but he can have a dominant male personality and may bark at dogs through the fence, so slow and thoughtful introductions are recommended. Castiel also takes his breakfast very seriously and enjoys starting his day with a good meal. With patience, structure, and a loving home, Castiel is ready to be someone’s loyal, gentle companion.HEARTWORM POSITIVE: IS TREATED AND COVERED IN FULL BY THE COLONY ANIMAL SERVICES.

Story
Roxie was a rescue dog who had been with me for about 6 years. When it was just the two of us she was great, no problems, but since moving in to a full household with 2 young children and another dog, she has become very anxious and insecure. I am working 2 jobs now and don't have the time to spend with her. She was abused before I got her and still is very skittish. She gets along with females better than males as far as people. She's nipped at some men but had never bitten anyone. She leaves the babies alone. She really needs a calm, caring small home where she can have the attention that I can't give to her anymore. She is constantly hiding in the bathtub or under the bed or anywhere she can fit. She is afraid of everything. She loves to run and will bark at other dogs, but she isn't sure how to play with them. She's a sweet girl who needs a lot of attention and patience.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Zella joined our family as a puppy from a show-dog boxer breeder and was professionally trained in our home. She has become a calm, well-behaved companion who is often complimented on how quiet and polite she is. She rarely barks, enjoys being around people, and gets along very well with other dogs. This has been an incredibly difficult decision for our family. We are only looking for a new home because my husband and I have developed mobility disabilities and can no longer give Zella the active lifestyle she deserves. Our decision has nothing to do with her behavior...we simply want what's best for her. Zella has storm anxiety and takes veterinarian-prescribed medication during thunderstorms and fireworks. Outside of storms, she's calm, happy, and easy to care for.Zella is affectionate, loyal, intelligent, gentle, and social. We are looking for a loving home where she'll truly be part of the family and receive the love and attention she deserves. She'll reward you with endless love.

Story
Chicka Dee is a 2.5-year-old spayed female Pitbull with the cutest black and white coat, an adorable big block head, and the biggest smile that will instantly brighten your day. This sweet girl may have had puppies in the past, but now it’s her turn to be someone’s baby and get all the love and attention she deserves.Chicka Dee is a huge love bug who absolutely adores people. She loves giving hugs, staying close to her humans, and being involved in whatever you’re doing. Whether you’re hanging out outside, relaxing at home, or just moving around the house, Chicka Dee wants to be right there with you as your loyal sidekick. This happy girl is also a total foodie, so treats are definitely one way to her heart! She enjoys running around outside and letting her playful side shine. Chicka Dee is still learning her leash manners, but with a little patience and consistency, she’ll continue gaining confidence and skills. She seems to be dog selective, so a meet and greet is required to ensure compatibility with any potential canine siblings. If you’re looking for a goofy, affectionate, people-loving companion with a giant smile and an even bigger heart, Chicka Dee is ready to become part of your family.

Story
Blair is a 9.5-month-old spayed female American Pitbull Terrier with a beautiful black and white coat and soulful eyes that will melt your heart. This sweet girl is very shy at first and takes a little time to feel comfortable around new people and situations, but once you bring out the beef jerky or chicken jerky treats, you’ll quickly start winning her over.Blair is dog-friendly and would do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog to help show her the ropes and bring her out of her shell. Having a canine companion around helps her feel safer and more comfortable as she learns to navigate the world around her. As always, meet and greets are required if there is another dog in the home to ensure it’s the perfect fit for everyone. She is still learning how to walk on a leash and will need a patient and understanding family willing to help her work through new experiences at her own pace. Because of her timid personality, Blair would do best in a home with older children who can provide the calm and gentle environment she needs to thrive. With love, patience, tasty treats, and a confident dog friend by her side, Blair has all the potential to blossom into an incredibly loyal and loving companion.
