Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This is Duncan Doggie, He is almost 6 years old, 67 pound Pit Bull (possibly a mix, there is no way to really know for sure in rescue) that has a lot of love to give but will need some special care in his furever home. Duncan has a lot of love to give and is overall a very happy and healthy boy but it took a lot of time, love and some medical care to get him there.  Duncan Doggie was found dumped on the grounds of Avenal State Prison in California June of 2023 and no one really knows how he got there. He was covered in wounds that were either from other dogs or coyotes, missing a majority of his fur, skin rubbed raw, and a lot of his teeth were broken. A volunteer at the Avenal shelter posted a TikTok in hopes that a rescue would pull him and give him the medical attention he needed and the love he deserved, that is where I found him. I instantly fell in love with him and drove the 1800 mile round trip to pick him up and bring him back to Northern Utah.    He is the biggest love bug and will gladly accept scratches and cuddles from any humans big or small! He loves to run around in the yard, play tug of war, play fetch, and if you are lucky he will even bring the ball back to you! True to his breed he also loves being lazy, he has his favorite purple minky that he stole from me and will go with him to his forever home for him to cuddle to his heart's content. He currently lives with children aged 3-14 and he is wonderful with all of them, sometimes he will get the wiggle butts and his tail could make him considered armed and dangerous, other than that though he is a complete sweetheart. Unfortunately due to his past he is fear reactive to any adult dogs and an addendum will be included in his adoption contract. He has loved every single puppy I've fostered in the last 8 months like it was his own but any adult dogs at home or in public terrify him and make him get full body shakes and then turn to aggression if he can't be removed from the other dog immediately.    Since having Duncan here he has made huge strides in his health and he has been the happiest, most loving foster from the second I picked him up. We discovered that his fur was missing and skin was raw due to food allergies, he needs to be on a grain and poultry free diet to prevent that from happening again in the future, he is currently eating a salmon based food and thriving on it. In addition to his allergies he was in need of a complete dental and is down 14 teeth but that doesn't stop him from eating dry food and enjoying treats like any other dog. He is resilient and has not let a single negative thing slow him down, he is truly a special dog.   If you are interested in giving this handsome man a safe and happy home where he can be an only dog you can apply to meet him at  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 6:23 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi everyone, my name is Fritillaria. Well, that’s my full name, but everyone just calls me Tillie. Or sometimes Silly Tillie or Sweetie Girl or Cutie Pie. I have a lot of names, but one title I don’t have yet is Family. I’m looking for a very special family who will help me feel safe and loved in this big world. I’ve had a bit of a hard start to my short life so far and my foster mom says I deserve only good things from now on! She also says that even though I’ve been through some scary stuff, I never became mean! I don’t think I have a mean bone in my whole body. When I feel unsafe, I would much prefer to hide or run away. Fighting just isn’t in my nature.  Here are some other cool things about me: I’m about 40 pounds so I’m big enough to join you on all kinds of adventures but not too big to lay across your lap. I’m a quick learner!  I’m a little over a year old so I’m ready to learn all kinds of new things. I’m very good in the car. I love to snuggle. I love my kennel and will nap in there even when I have other options. I LOVE other dogs. I love big dogs, little dogs, old dogs, and I especially love puppies! I would do extremely well in a house with other furry friends. I haven’t been around cats yet, but I’ve been uninterested in my foster family’s chickens, so I suspect that I would do well with a good introduction. I have a medium energy level. I enjoy walks, hikes, and playing with toys and with other pups but I also love to nap. Balance is important in life. Here are some things I will need from my new family: Patience and time to acclimate. I am slow to warm up to new people, but once I trust that you will be nice to me, you will have my devoted loyalty and love for life. Training. I am not naughty. I am not destructive or a bad girl in the house, but I haven’t had many positive experiences. Training will help me build confidence and trust with my new family and help me grow into the best dog I can be! I do best with other dogs around. I would really, really love to have a doggy sibling to help show me the ropes and help me feel at ease. I’m ok with children, but older kids who know how to take things slow and let me build a relationship on my terms would be best.      Adopting a timid dog can seem overwhelming and is definitely a time-intensive endeavor, but the bonds that are built while gaining their affection and devotion is unlike any other experience. Could you be Tillie’s dream-come-true?    Apply to meet me at  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 6:23 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I’m Metric! I am likely a Pitt/Heeler mix weighing about 45 pounds and I’m 1 year and 3 months old! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 I can be shy and nervous at first, but when I warm up (which won’t take long) all I will want to do is snuggle up close and give you kisses   I have playful puppy energy and I love to exercise, but at the end of the day all I want to do is snuggle with my people and my dog siblings! I’d rate myself a 7/10 energy level.   I am crate trained, potty trained, and walk great on my transitional slip lead! I completed a Bright Beginnings training course at Kudos 2 Canines and I’m doing very well with all of my commands, and I'm working hard on my recall and not being fearful when out on my leash! It would be very beneficial for me to continue training to help me overcome fears and grow my confidence! I am very food motivated and also one of my favorite treats is an ice cube   I would do well in a home with a dog who is close to my size or bigger, and I’d also do well as an only dog, but I sure love to snuggle with my foster dog siblings right now! I would do best with kids over 10-12 since I am just a big playful puppy and can be jumpy when I get excited! I am great with other dogs when properly introduced.   I am such a sweet girl with so much love to give and I really can’t wait to find my perfect family to love and snuggle with   Apply to bring me home here https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 6:23 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. NEW RESCUES! Meet Sonic & Tails: The Dynamic Puppy Duo! Hello, future family! We’re Sonic and Tails, two adorable brothers who are the best of friends. At just 3 months old, we’re growing fast, learning new tricks every day, and always ready for a treat (hint: treats make us extra clever)! Our playful puppy faces are still changing, but we give off strong pitty-mix vibes that make us even more lovable.   Why You’ll Love Us: We’re both boys (in case “brothers” didn’t give it away). We adore kids! Our foster dad’s nieces, ages 4 and 8, are our favorite playmates, so we’re used to little ones and love their energy. Cats? We’ve met a few! Even though they don’t always love us back, we’re gentle and respectful—never pushy, just hopeful for friendship. Other dogs? Yes, please! We love making new canine friends and playing all day. Sharing treats is still a work in progress (puppy logic: everything is ours!), but we’re learning. House training is going well! We’re getting better every day, and we know how to use our puppy pad most of the time. Our kennel is our safe haven, but cuddling with humans is our absolute favorite.   Ready to Meet Us? Our foster dad is super available and excited to introduce us to our forever family.
