Story
Let me take a second to introduce you to Kelso. He’s got everything you want: he’s funny, he’s chill, he’s handsome, he’s dog friendly, and even cat friendly! He’s an absolute winner and we give him 5 gold stars! He’s described as an old soul in a puppy body. We believe Kelso is some sort of Labrador/ Pittie mix. With rescue this is just our best guess, but we can tell you he’s 100% a good boy. He is just over 7 months old, but he is extremely well mannered. He likes to read the room, and it may take him a second to warm up— but not that long! After no time he will be asking for some attention and belly rubs. He is so curious and likes to stop and smell the roses. Kelso the explorer! Watch Kelso's video here: https://youtu.be/y9g4Eh-GxLg?si=ACnYUg3WDReHSBYt Kelso would thrive in a household with another dog. He really looks to other dogs for companionship and guidance. This handsome fellow is very clever and learns quickly, and he is very food-motivated and will do almost anything for a treat! Kelso has been around and does great with the cats and kittens in his foster home. He has learned which ones he can socialize with and which ones he needs to stay away from. Kelso is very good about sleeping in his kennel at night, and goes to his kennel on his own for naps or to chew on his favorite toy. He's not destructive and has been trusted to free-roam with the other pets when his foster parents leave. This clever boy has already mastered the doggy door and going out to potty. This amazing fellow has not had any accidents in months! Kelso loves to go on walks with his dog friends. He does very well on leash and enjoys a leisurely stroll. Kelso loves to play in the backyard too, running around with his dog friends and his toys. We love to see him stretching out to sunbathe! He is also a great rider in the car and enjoys a good outing. This soft and snuggly boy has the most distinctive coat of black and brown (almost brindle but not quite) that simply shines in the sun. His soft brown eyes are so expressive and will communicate everything you need to know. Kelso will win your heart slowly but surely - he is cautious and shy at first but soon opens up to all the pets, and a few soft stuffies and chew toys would be appreciated here too, and go ahead and throw in some treats for this positively very good boy. Kelso melts right into you with behind-the-ear scratches and snuggles, and we love to see him stretch out and relax once he gets comfy. We think Kelso looks quite regal with his pop of white at his chest and all four feet (and don't forget that wisp of white at his chin). This handsome fellow is ready to attend any formal event...whether it's in a soft and fluffy dog bed or your living room, Kelso is dressed for every occasion! Kelso is already living his best life - all he needs now is YOU! If you're looking for a sweet, silly, treat-loving sidekick who’s just as happy romping in the yard as he is napping in the sun — Kelso might just be your perfect match. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
Can you take a wild guess what our favorite thing about Sweet Smiley Girl is? Well if you guessed her smile, you are absolutely right. It's so good and infectious that it just made since to name her after something that represents her completely as a whole. When you think of a dog that is named "Smiley" you instinctively think that it is a dog who radiates with happiness and has the innate ability to make any day (good or bad) ten times better than the way it started. That's exactly what you can expect by having Smiley in your life. She is more than just smiles though -- she is your snuggly queen, your porch sitting side kick, and your bestie you can actually talk too. No, but seriously, you can have full on conversations with Smiley and it's probably one of the other things I love most about her. If you haven’t fallen in love yet, be sure to watch Smiley’s video below to get to know this perfect girl even better. Her video really shows her personality and all the potential she has to offer: https://youtu.be/VwOCdHi1Dus?si=vIt2ZXTkLJ6nHVPi Doesn't her video bring the biggest smile upon your face and make you feel extremely happy? Yeah, us too! Her video is just a small glimpse to show you what your life would look like by adopting Smiley. It honestly doesn’t even do her justice because her drive for love and affection goes so much further than a 6 min video. She is a fan favorite here at the rescue, and we cannot believe her family hasn’t come to snatch her up yet. Smiley thrives in homes that enjoy those simple moments in life and are not overly concerned with being the party house in the neighborhood. After her initial shyness has passed, Smiley is all about that love and snuggles. If you let her, she will lay in your lap and act like your own personal weighted blanket. Stay in that position long enough, and I can guarantee the two of you will find yourselves dozing off for an afternoon nap. She really is a total cuddle bug and actually appreciates when you wrap her up in a little blanket burrito getting her all tucked in for snuggles. She will definitely keep you warm and cozy during those cold winter nights. Smiley is the perfect mix of playful and calm. She is the best of both worlds. If you're someone that works from home, Smiley will be perfectly content settling on the floor next to your feet, keeping quiet, never getting into things she shouldn't be and will occasionally look up at you or rest her head on you leg nuzzling you for affection. Almost as if she knew you needed a 5 min breather from your computer. She is not high energy and can match the energy of the room. She will get the zoomies every once in a while when she gets super excited and will tell you all about how happy she is but for the most part, Smiley is a calm relaxed lady. She was made for porch sitting as a hobby too- she could sit next to you and watch the world pass by all day. Something that makes Smiley different from all of the rest is her absolute love of the car. And this is not a thing I say lightly. A volunteer took her on a walk and Smiley wanted to get into every car she saw. Our Director pulled up and opened the door for Smiley, and bam there she went, headed for the back seat. She turned around and looked at us like “okay… so where are we going? Come on guys!” She’s a perfect lady with manners and likes to sit upright in the backseat, quietly watching through the windows and patiently waiting for her destination. Her favorite places to go if you want a little adventure in your life, are those scenic nature trails where the two of you can take a casual stroll through the woods or a place where you can find a park bench off in the distance where y'all can have a picnic and people watch. Smiley is easy to walk on a leash and is very treat motivated. She loves pup cups and already knows how to sit, lay down, and knows the command "quiet" and "speak." Those little moments where we mention that she will talk about her happiness or how you can actually talk to you tie in here. Smiley knows how to speak on command and will talk up a storm with you. It's adorable and the moment you tell her "quiet" she instantly stops. She knows how to read a room and when her cute conversations are appropriate or not. Smiley is a gentle lady who has spent plenty of time around younger children, even as young as 4 years old, and does just with them. While she's good-natured and tolerant of the occasional squeal or quick movements from younger children, she tends to prefer the company of older kids. Older children, around 14 and up are more in tune with her boundaries, they understand when she needs space and can respect her need for a little calm time. Her preference for older children reflects her love for a calmer, more laidback lifestyle. Smiley would be great in a home with 1-2 kids ages 14 and up and if you have grandchildren or friends that have younger kids that come to visit on occasion, Smiley will be completely okay with that too because it is not an everyday thing. Smiley is great with other dogs and her calm nature quite literally turns into a bouncy bunny, hopping around the yard, bouncing alongside her dog friends with her ears flopping in the wind when she plays. Watching her play, will absolutely make you laugh. She loves to play chase and enjoys more of a rowdy play style. She can be vocal when she plays, almost as if she is trying to tell everyone that she is having a good time. Best thing about Smiley is if she's talking too much even during her playtime with other dogs, all you have to is give her that "quiet" command and listens. Smiley would be best placed in a home a happy go-lucky dog that enjoys occasional play time, won't be bothered by Smiley's vocalness, and a dog that enjoys those calmer more relaxing moments as well. She has also spent time with small dogs too as little as a 4 lb all over the place teeny chihuahua and a 15 lb relaxed scruffy male and was great around both of them and very gentle. She didn't show much interest in playing with either of them and wasn't too interested in either of them in general. She was perfectly content hanging out and sharing space. Smiley would also do great as a solo dog too! She does not need the company of another dog to keep her entertained or to feel comfortable in a home. Smiley will also do best in a kitty free household too. We think Smiley is a pit bull mix of some sort, around 3 years old. She currently weighs in around at a snuggly 54 pounds. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Her perfect home would have people to love on her, toys for her to play with, a couch to snuggle on, and a home with a backyard. We are willing to test Smiley with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Please email Kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
There are nothing but great things to say about this girl. Let me tell you about Lane Boots! First you must know—It’s snuggling season— and Lane got the memo! This sweet girl is an avid fan of couch snuggles and sweet little love sessions, she could lay with you all day, enjoying belly rubs and ear scritches. Lane is the perfect best friend- loving, loyal and always excited to see you. Meeting Lane feels like you’ve known her forever, and I promise you will be wanting to be her forever very soon. Lane is an itty bitty baby dog, she weighs in around 50 pounds, a total “pocket pittie” type. Lane is estimated to be around 2 years old, and she has so much to show for it. She’s attentive to her people, easy on leash and has great house manners. She’s spent her lifetime studying up to be your perfect dog! We believe Lane to be an American Pit Bull Terrier, Labrador mix, but she is a rescue so these are just our best guesses. One thing is for sure, she is 100% a good girl. Fall in love with Lane here: https://youtu.be/1QOK9ZgF_qs?si=X8Ric5fPlrJ6wZxX The first thing people notice about Lane is her beautiful heterochromatic eyes, one blue and one brown. The second thing people notice about Lane is that she is already in their lap, midway through a bellyrub, and also kissing them. This girl is so, so warm and friendly with everyone she meets. She’s a complete lovebug. She is a great match for any socially active household, big family or extended friend group- the more the merrier, Lane says! She absolutely adores kids too. A 5 year old spent over a hour with Lane, snuggling on the couch with her, giving big bear hugs, and of course sharing a few treats as well. Lane was living her best life with her new friend, playing dress up and getting a good grooming! She would love nothing more than to be a family dog. We think she would be happy doing nothing with you. Lane would totally be down to watch your favorite show on the couch on a stormy night. Or maybe even join in on a family game night! Lane will look up and smile at you when she’s happy, showing her little teefies in gratitude and appreciation. It’s the cutest thing about her! She loves to be talked to, and she’ll stick right by your side when you walk around the yard. For affection, Lane will lean into you, suggesting some pets. On leash, when you’re stopped, she has an adorable habit of sitting down and looking up at her handler, asking for affection. Lane has so many makings of a great dog already. She’s food motivated and affection motivated, making further training enjoyable and rewarding for both of you. Lane already knows “sit,” and she’s working on “lay down,” and “roll over.” See her show off her skills for yourself in her video! Lane is a very fast learner, submissive with people, and very respectful of rules. Lane is really easy on leash already, and a huge fan of walks. She loves to sniff around, and here at the rescue she hasn’t been fazed by passing cars. Here at the rescue, we’ve noticed that Lane prefers calmer dogs and she does well with small dogs too. She could do well in a home with a stable, relaxed doggy sibling. She is also cat tolerant! She finds kitties very interesting though. So it’s probably best for lane to not live with cats. However, on your daily stroll she won’t mind if you spot a cat across the street. Lane is a respectful little lady after all. Lane would love a home with a yard to sunbathe in. She would love a home with ample couch space, the couch is her favorite place to be! Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
If you love lazy mornings spent in bed, little treats and cozy blankets, Iris just may be your soulmate! We believe that Iris is a perfect blend of Pittie and Lab, but she is a rescue so her exact age and breed cannot be guaranteed. Estimated to be around 2 years old, Iris weighs in at 43 pounds. Iris is dog-friendly, and did really well meeting new dogs here at the rescue. More than that, she loves all animals! This precious girl is a total animal lover, fostered in a home with all types of animals, including bunnies! She hangs out with them, roams the house with them, with no issue. Here at the rescue, Iris was cat tested with a little black kitten named Poe. She did well meeting Poe and was so careful and sweet with her. Iris is a super gentle treat taker, and food motivated which will make any further training enjoyable and rewarding for both of you. She already knows “sit” and walks well on leash! She’s such a good girl. She’s easy in the car too, she loads up on her own and can ride in the back of an SUV, or in your passenger seat. See her for yourself right here! https://youtu.be/ys-GRY7tiT0?si=AxC498q3Cce87_PX A total lovebug, Iris loves affection and seeks connection with her humans. She loves pets, especially booty rubs, and will arch her back like a cat when you hit just the right spot. Iris loves loves loves toys!! She’s so silly and fun playing with them. She likes to carry them into bed and roll around with them. She’s quite the fan of a cozy spot, dog beds, human beds, couches, you name it. Here at the rescue, Iris spent time with a 4 year old, and was so good with him!! We could definitely see this girl being a family dog. She was gentle and sweet with him, soft body language and a wagging tail told us all that we needed to know! Iris is a really precious and sweet girl with such a loving soul. Iris has such a relaxed vibe, we think she would enjoy a calm suburban or rural home. Iris could easily live in a home with another dog, medium energy and relaxed like herself, but she’s could also thrive as a solo dog. Iris just loves her people so much, she would adore having all of you to herself. We could see her living with dog-savvy kitties or other small animals. We think Iris would be happiest in a home with a fenced yard, because she loves to explore and sunbathe. We think Iris would love the family dog lifestyle with kids over 5 years old. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Story
Black and white, and wants to sleep in your bed at night… meet Gracie! Gracie is an absolute doll of a dog, sweet and gracious with her doggy friends, warm and welcoming with us humans, and a total ham for affection. Her foster mom says the best thing about Gracie is that she is such a brave girl, despite what may have happened before she came to us. She is an amazingly sweet and gentle. She loves to cuddle and play! Speaking of play, be sure to bring Gracies favorite toy-- her ball! She is a fetch superstar! We think that Gracie may be an Pittie, Staffie mix, but she is a rescue, so these are just are best guesses. She’s estimated to be around 3 years old, and currently weighs in around 55 pounds. Fall in love with Gracie here: https://youtu.be/zzmESxgsBJs?si=33-I1DuCrdU6Mm3Z In her foster home, Gracie loves to share the bed. She would love a home where all night snuggle sessions are a possibility! If it’s not your thing, that’s okay too- Gracie’s foster mom says she’s perfect in her kennel. Gracie is also a huge fan of the pool, and loves to get in the hot tub. Gracie is allowed to free roam because of how respectful she is. She is fully potty trained too! She’s a little spoiled, and accustomed to being the princess of the house. Gracie is a social butterfly with people, she is immediately ready for love and affection the moment she meets a new friend. She’s a super affectionate lap dog, ready to love you. Gracie has been around kids, and even lives with a 10 year old in her foster home! She was also great with Kobe, who is just 4 years old. She took treats gently, did not knock him over, and did not smoother him in kisses. She was respectful and polite, and seemingly aware of his smaller size! This leads us to believe she would make an amazing family dog. She loves treats too. She’s learning her leash skills, and doing great, with a little more polishing she’ll be a perfect walking companion. Gracie is currently fostered in a home with her loving foster mom, small dogs, medium dogs, and big dogs. She does great with everyone! She’s stable with other dogs, though she can be a bit eager to play. She’s exceptionally tolerant of other dogs’ antics, and always so sweet with other dogs. Her foster mom takes her on little play dates with other foster dogs in the area, and Gracie loves the extra play time that entails. Gracie’s playstyle with other dogs is bouncy and joyful, almost puppyish. Her favorite game is good ole fashioned tug-of-war. Another adorable tidbit about this girl is that she has the cutest little bunny hops that make her ears flop in the breeze. We think Gracie would do best in a home with a low to medium energy dog, to save her from playing all day every day. Lunch dates at patio cafes, late nights watching live music, daytime park hangs- Gracie is ready, willing and available. She’s a total adventure dog! She loves the car, though her short legs will sometimes require a boost. She’s so friendly with everyone that bringing her out and about is a breeze. She’s just happy to hang out. Her foster mom takes her to restaurants and parks with regularity! Gracie could thrive as a solo-dog, or as a member of your pack. She has been around our house cat, Biggie. Although she was fine with him, we do not recommend Gracie to live in a home with kitties! She was a little too excited to be around him and with her big size, we do not think it would be best for her. She will be fine for walks outside if she sees a stray, so do not fear! Your walking buddy is still here! With proper exercise, she could be a great candidate for apartment living, but she would absolutely love a home with a yard too. She would love to be your little go-anywhere dog, and she definitely has the right temperament for it! With any questions, please reach out to her adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below. We are willing to test Gracie with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Story
**Fostered in Kenmore, WA and ready for meet and greets!** Meet Hank Cutie Sweetheart, a big, happy galoot with the most beautiful blue eyes you've ever seen! Hank radiates positivity. He puts a smile on the face of everyone he meets with his laid-back attitude and goofy antics. Watch Hank's video right here! https://youtu.be/Y7c05xfJB3o?si=6Z_2MNgJg0T0p9FX You know that one friend who always has your back, the pal who's always up for hanging out and having fun, the buddy you can tell absolutely anything, and who always cheers you up? That's Hank! He's the fun-loving, uncomplicated, affectionate bestie you've been looking for. A little past six months old, this big boy already weighs over 50 lbs. We think he might be a mix of labrador retriever and pittie... and maybe husky with his blue eyes and lovely singing voice? But with rescues it's always a guess! He and his nine siblings have been in our care since they were tiny pups, so Hank has been loved and wonderfully socialized. He's an easy pup with no hang-ups who just wants to play, eat, explore, and snooze! Hank is fully house trained. He sleeps in a crate in a room with his foster person and three foster siblings (dogs ranging from 25 lbs to 60 lbs). He's happiest when he's surrounded by his pals, and would love to find a forever home with other pets. Always eager for fun, Hank's favorite activities are wrestling with his foster siblings, chasing them, or being chased! He also loves to frolic in the kiddie pool, delighted by his own splashes. When he's done playing, Hank entertains himself with toys. Stuffies, bones, balls, crinkle toys, chewies… you name it, Hank wants it! And he's good at sharing his toys with other dogs and with people. This kind, doofy, charming, beautiful boy dreams of belonging to a family – a family with one human or 10, he's not picky! He wants to go on walks in the neighborhood, visit parks, and run errands with you. He's a gentleman in the car. And he can hang out for hours at a busy brewery, coffee shop, park... anywhere he can meet new people or sniff new smells. Mostly he's just so happy as long as he's with you. Are you looking for someone to keep you laughing and smiling, even on tough days? Someone who loves you for exactly who you are? Adopt Hank and share his joy! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6798005034360c69c801f56c Please email jacquelynn@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation.
