Story
Meet Chicken! He is an 8yo (although I believe he is younger), energetic, and beautiful. He is FIV+ and sometimes gets a snotty nose, but he eats well, loves to play, loves to rest, and ADORES being outside. I am sad to rehome him but there are many reasons why I need to, and I really want him to go to a loving home. I will include his carrier, leash, harness, bowls, leftover food, and toys with him. He takes a little time to warm up, but will become a snuggle bug and sit on your lap.

Story
Who says you don’t get second chances in life? That’s certainly not true for this sweet older lady. We don’t know much about her back story, but what we do know is that somehow she found herself alone on the streets of Baltimore. She was taken to Baltimore Animal Control, where everyone there immediately fell in love with her. As stressful as it must have been to lose her home, be kicked out on the street and then wind up at a busy shelter, her wonderful disposition just shined right through. She absolutely adores people and was a well loved pet at one point. She can’t get enough of being petted and receiving belly rubs. She is an easy going ol’ gal and gets along fine with other cats and animals. She’s extremely adaptable. She has perfect litter box skills and manners. She’s not one to climb up curtains or scratch on furniture. Her favorite thing in the world is just to snooze next to her person. She does have a playful side, but in general she’s a very calm girl. Just an all around sweetheart. She will make a new family very happy. Like all Furever Home cats, Uni is FeLV positive. If you’d like more information about FeLV or Uni, please contact FureverHomeMD@gmail.com or call 301.703.1674

Story
Hi! My name is Rollie Pollie! I have no clue how to say how amazing I am in words. You have to meet me to believe it. My foster mum says I’m bomb proof. Nothing phases me. But why should it? Life is too short and I want to experience everything! Mum says that makes me sassy and a little insane, but I think my positive, curious and friendly personality serve me well. If there’s a closed door, I want to see what’s behind it. If there’s a new animal, I want to meet it. If there’s a new food, I want to eat it. Stop and smell the roses, make a new friend and live life to the fullest. That’s my motto! Like all the other cats at my rescue, I am FeLV positive. If you don’t know what that is or have any questions, feel free to email my foster mum at FureverHomeMD@gmail.com or call 301-703-1674. She loves talking about how great we Felvies are!

Story
Sweet little Daisy has every reason to distrust people, but like most animals, they are willing to give us a second, and sometimes a fifth, chance. Daisy was abandoned on the streets with her brother when her family moved out and left them behind. A few months later, her brother was attacked and killed by a dog. Luckily for her, a caring neighbor began looking out for her and leaving food. As time passed, it became apparent that little Daisy was just not doing well as an outside cat. Her fur lost it’s shine and Daisy began to get sick. Again the nice neighbors took her in, but unfortunately for her, by then she had contracted FeLV so the neighbors couldn’t keep her. Because there are not nearly enough FeLV rescues, many have a long waitlist. The neighbors were concerned Daisy wouldn’t survive outside in the hot summer so they expanded their search until they found us. The problem was that we were a 16 hour drive away! But the nice neighbors were willing to make that sacrifice for Daisy. And we very quickly understood why. Daisy is so worth it!!!! She is the most lovable little girl! She loves to snuggle with her people whenever she can, but she’s not overly Velcro either. She loves to play with her toys as well, but she’s also ok on her own through the day. She has the most adorable little chirp and will actually have an entire conversation with you, although we admit, sometimes it’s hard to understand what she’s saying. She also has impeccable litter habits and will actually wipe her little paws off before walking away from the litter box. In summary, Daisy is perfect! Like all our cats, Daisy is FeLV positive. If you’d like more information on what that means, feel free to call us at 301.703.1674 or email FureverHomeMD@gmail.com.

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Maggie is 10yo, weighs 7lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, is microchipped, and is FeLV/FIV negative, as her veterinary records will substantiate.  Maggie's guardian adds:  "She dislikes dogs, scared of new people in the home, gets nervous when you touch her unexpectedly, and does not like to be picked up or held.  During car rides, she often meows and cries, but is okay in a crate in the car." Maggie's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her:  "She does not do well with other pets and has started peeing outside her litter box.  We have tried everything to prevent her from peeing outside the litter box, but no changes.  We think she will do better as an only pet in a calm environment." Maggie's guardian states the following regarding children:  Maggie doesn't live with children, so her guardian doesn't recommend her living with children, stating "She is very timid and usually hides when new people come to the house.  She has never interacted with anyone below the age of 18". Maggie's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Maggie lives with a dog, but her guardian doesn't recommend her living with dogs, stating "She is very fearful and wants her space.  Anytime our dog gets near her she will hiss to try to get him away from her including chasing him, growling, and even scratching if he gets too close.  When he is not in her bubble, they get along fine". Maggie's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Maggie lives with a cat, but her guardian doesn't recommend her living with cats, stating "She does well with our other cat; they play together, sleep together, eat together, etc.  But, she did not take to him for almost a year and having a new animal in the house is what started her peeing outside the litter box.  So while they get along wonderfully now, the behavioral peeing has not stopped". Maggie's guardian describes her as: Couch potato Quiet Playful Friendly Shy Likes to be touched Affectionate Independent Nervous House-Trained Likes men Likes women Maggie's guardian describes her ideal future home: "The best home for Maggie would be with an older couple or a single person who is home often and is fine with only having one cat.  This person is willing to play with her every day (she loves strings, like soft measuring tapes, as toys) and will give her love and treats often, as she is very affectionate, but timid.  They are experienced with cats and have a good routine that they can stick to most days, if not every day." Story
Meet Ren! Ren is a 2 year old girl, up to date on vaccines and disease-tested negative. Here's her story: "I was found in a colony at a local park and clearly didn't belong there. I do fine with dominant cats but will chase any that run away. I like being near my peeps although I'm not a lap cat. I like playing with paper balls and toy mice. I purr easily and give head butts and like kisses on my head. I would do best in a quiet home with or without other cats." Make an appointment to meet her, you will be glad you did!
