Story
Copper is a super sweet dog that loves people and kids. He enjoys snuggling on the couch and exploring outside. We got Copper and his brother about a year ago when they were 5 months old after they were found abandoned. We've been doing some training with them, but we're seeing some leash reactivity and dog aggression on walks now and we feel that Copper needs a different environment, one that we can't provide for him. Copper would do well in a home/family in which he is the only dog. And a big backyard in which he can run and play would be ideal.

We got Bandit and his brother about a year ago when they were 5 months old after they were found abandoned. We've been doing some training with them, and Bandit does well on walks, but has demonstrated some dog aggression on occasion. He has a lot of energy and is very playful, but we're no longer able to care for him the way we feel that he deserves. Bandit would do well with a family in which he is the only dog.

Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! My Name is Angelo! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I am a playful, happy young boy! HOW OLD ARE YOU? Best guess is I am around two years old! WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a Pit Bull (Staffy) mix! HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? A nice and healthy 63 pounds! WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am such a handsome boy! I have beautiful white fur with some super cute brown spots around my ears. Oh, and MY EARS... My ears are just AMAZING! My right ear has a mind of its own, always up for a party. And I have such an infectious smile. Every day is a happy new adventure, and my smile shows that I am ready for it! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love my kibble and treats, but I also love liver, hot dogs, and especially peanut butter! OK, so yeah, I am not going to be particular about food. I love it ALL! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I'm happy, affectionate, and playful. I am always up for a good time! Let's go meet some people! Let's go play with some dogs! Or, if you are feeling like some quiet time, I am SO ready for cuddles! DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY. I am happy with anything you want to do, but since you are asking for MY preferences... Let's start the day off right! A nice walk or jog to get the sleepies out. Then it's breakfast time, followed by a cozy nap. I would love to go on an adventure in the car or even another walk later in the day! The rest of the best day ever would, of course, involve more food, lots of playtime, and then the day ends with cuddles before bedtime. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love to play with plushies! For some reason, the humans don't want me to pull the stuffing out... But isn't that what the stuffing is for?? If I don't have a plushie, I also love playing with my Kong toy filled with peanut butter. DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I have good recall if you just give me a whistle! I also know the basics... sit and stay, and I am always up for learning. I just need some guidance from you, and I am totally teachable! WHAT SCARES YOU? Not a lot scares me, including fireworks and vacuums! What a brave boy, right? Sometimes I am uncomfortable with loud voices, but that's just because I am such a happy boy, and I can't understand why anyone would be yelling like that! HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? Yes, I have! I am actually very well-mannered around kids, but young ones may get me a bit overexcited, so I do best with older kids! DO YOU LIKE CATS? No, thanks. I’ll pass! HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? Oh boy! I just LOVE other dogs and am always up to play or hang out with them! IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? First, I would always want to be wherever my humans are, of course. And if the humans happened to be at the park or a beach, that would be even better! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I'm a very healthy boy! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster parents, their young adult son, and my doggy foster brother and sister. I would say I'm closest to my foster mom because she keeps me safe, gives me lots of love, and has shown me how to be such a good boy! WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? When I am home alone, I hang out in my crate with my toys and spend most of my time napping. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep in my crate or on the floor next to my foster dad's bed. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love walking on a leash or on a harness. I just love being out and about sniffing and exploring! My foster family says I walk great! DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? Hmm... I'm pretty close to perfect if I do say so myself! But I think if you asked my foster mom, she would say something about jumping up on people when I get excited. Ummm... yeah! I have to show you how happy I am to see you! But foster mom says that I am a big boy so I need to tone it down a little. I am working hard on it and will find other ways to show you I love you when I am greeting you. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? Yes! I'm perfectly house trained and will always let my family know when I need to potty. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I am such a good boy in the bath and enjoy going into the water at the beach. I'm up for anything, including water fun! WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that my foster family loves ME! They make sure that I am safe, that I have enough food to eat, give me lots of cuddles, and they take me on walks so I can explore the world. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? Nobody really knows how my first year went, but my foster family found me abandoned and hiding when they were out hiking one day. They took me home and reached out to NorCal Bully Breed rescue for help finding my forever home. I have learned what real love feels like and I am SO excited to find a family of my own. Are you willing to take me home and love me forever? ***Angelo's adoption fee is $300 *** If you are interested in adopting Angelo please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org ‼️At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas.‼️ For more information on what that means and why that is, please click on the following link: https://www.facebook.com/333019703483910/posts/3264412130344638/?extid=0&d=n Thank you so much in advance for understanding!!!

Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi hi! My name is Luciano! ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I'm a good boy! HOW OLD ARE YOU? I turned eight years old in September 2023. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? American Staffordshire Terrier HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? If I had a driver's license, it would say 60lbs. But I'm a few pounds over that. I won't judge if you don't. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? Handsome! I have the most AMAZING smile that will guarantee to make you happy just looking at me. My clipped ears are an often talked about feature. But the ladies tell me that my green eyes are mesmerizing. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I am a good eater! I eat my kibble, but I also like sweet potatoes, Greek yogurt, watermelon and apples. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? Whoever said you can't teach an old dog new tricks was definitely not talking about me. I love to try new things. The more I am in new situations, the better I learn to handle it. Most days are pretty normal, though, and I've got a chill vibe with a large dose of loving. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: EAT! Walk. Sleep. Get some cuddles. Back to sleep. Play - I love the water most, but I also love tug-of-war or chase. I like brain games, too. Back to sleep. EAT! All I want to do after that is cuddle and sleep. My day is over! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? Believe it or not, my favorite thing to play with is water from the hose! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? Sit, Wait, Plotz (lay down), Shake, Return, Leave It, No, and Yes. I've been getting pretty good lately at staying in my designated spot when my foster mom opens the door to get a delivery, too. WOW, impressive, right? Yeah, I'm a pretty smart dude! WHAT SCARES YOU? I am not a huge fan of loud banging sounds. Does anyone really like them, though? HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? Yep! I love kids!! DO YOU LIKE CATS? Enh, no thanks... I am not a cat guy. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I used to live with other dogs and did fine. I'm an only dog in the house now. As always with adult dogs, slow intros are required! IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? On a human lap. Or a dog pool. That's a hard one. Maybe on your lap IN the pool? HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? Grrrreat! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom and human brother. I don't choose favorites. I know who to go to depending on what I want. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I am such a good boy when I am alone! I just hang out on my comfy bed. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? You guessed it... I am all about my bed! DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I LOVE walks! It has taken a lot of practice, but I am good on a leash. I do best with consistent rules. DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? I've been known to check the yard for weak spots and to patrol for cats, but when everything is cool, I just like to hang out in the yard and sunbathe. I don't bark much, only when I'm nervous or playing. You could go days and not hear me bark. I admittedly get excited when new people are in the house, or we pass a reactive dog on a walk. My foster mom has learned some strategies to help me calm down faster in these situations. She can teach you, too. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) Yep! Got that bit taken care of a long time ago! DO YOU LIKE WATER? Let's gooo! Water water water!! WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love them most for cuddles and letting me spend more time outside in the world. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I spent a lot of time in a crate and my experiences were very limited. But since I was saved from that life, I have learned how to enjoy every bit of love and fun that I can find. I am hoping to find a family that will give me as much love as I have to share with them. Will you take me home and love me forever? ***LUCIANO'S ADOPTION FEE IS $100.00*** If you are interested in Luciano please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Norah is approximately 7 months old. She came from the Stockton shelter where one of our RPNC volunteers first heard about her and started fostering her. Norah was a medical foster due to her having a prolapsed rectum. She's had two surgeries to repair her colon and after a long recovery period Norah is ready to find her forever home. Norah will need to stay on special food through her life and it will be important for her new family to understand her medical condition. There is a possibility that she will need to have another surgery by a specialist. However, her foster has been able to control her condition with diet and we are hopeful her new family will be able to do the same. Norah is a typical 6 month old puppy. She loves to play, play, play. She currently lives with 2 other dogs; a younger dog and an older dog. She does great with both. Plays with the younger dog and respects the older dog. She also lives with a cat, that she likes to chase. We think with boundaries and more training she could live with a dog savvy cat. She loves all peoples. She is house and crate trained but is still learning the command "go to bed" to go into her crate on command and she is still learning the basics such as sit. Altough Norah is your typical active puppy, she can also chill out and chew on a nyla bone for hours. Norah would be a fantastic addition to any family. She is one of those dogs that fits in with everyone. If you are interested in Norah, you can fill out an application here.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 10, 2024, 1:23 pm

Story
Daughter brought blue home when she was several weeks old. We bottle fed her and planned to re home her in the first year. She just grew on us and we kept her for over four years. But now she’s too big for our space and she needs more attention than I can provide, both my daughters have since left my home. She also is very active and needs to be taken on walks and have a large running area.
