Story
Meet DALILAH She is the most joyful and affectionate dog you've ever met. Carries her toys around and likes a quiet spot in the yard to lay and enjoy the fresh air. Content to just stay on the couch or bed with you. Plays a bit of fetch and tug and loves to tackle you with happy hugs and kisses. She walks great on a leash and loves to go on short adventures. Gets along well with other dogs and currently friends with a chihuahua. She does enjoy her crate but should not be left in one for long hours. Dalilah is an American Bully known as a "pocket pit". She is around 5 years old, weighs around 60 lb, spayed, and will be updated on vaccinations prior to adoption. *Slight* special needs but very easy to care for. She can walk, but a little unstable on her feet. She can hear, but slight hard of hearing and need to speak up to get her attention. She can see fine, but a bit of a wonky eye. She is housebroken, and if she can no longer hold it, she will go on potty pads. She has her OWN hashtag! Search #DalilahTails on Facebook, and her story will pop up. Story
Meet Royalty! This sweet 9 year old staffy has been through some rough times, and she's ready to retire in style, like the queen she is. She makes an excellent doorbell, and will always tell you when packages and guests arrive. Royalty is gentle and a lazy girl, enjoying her naps & sunbathing. She has lived with other dogs before, but can get a bit jealous and may be happier as an only child. Interested in adopting? Visit our shelter during open hours and ask about Royalty A015750. Royalty's adoption has been sponsored by one of her adoring fans.December 21, 2025, 5:04 pm

Story
Raider: The Bat-Eared ExplorerLooking for a best friend who’ll keep you smiling and your heart full? Raider is your girl! This young, energetic pup (about 1½ years old) is full of curiosity and joy. Her adorable bat ears are always perked up, ready to catch the sound of a treat bag—or maybe a squirrel rustling nearby (she gets a little excited about those!).Raider loves life’s simple pleasures: playing fetch, squeaking her favorite toys, and going for car rides to see the world. She’s a smart cookie who already knows “sit” and “come,” especially when treats are involved! She can be a bit enthusiastic on leash—there’s just so much to explore—but once out of her kennel, she settles in beautifully. Raider may not show her best self behind kennel doors; she just wants to be out where the fun and love are.Raider recently earned an A+ on her “Barks and Rec” field trip, where she went hiking and relaxed at a volunteer’s home. The report? “Kind and friendly.” That’s Raider in a nutshell.Raider has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out her playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!
