Story
He is very good with people as long as he is not at home. If he is home he will bark and be protective. Will look at you or do small barks if he wants to go outside for pee or poop time. Likes to relax and lay around.ikes walks and like to be played with his toys or ball. Does not get along with other dogs, but he will not bark at any if he sees one while walking. Does do paws, lay, sit commands. He loves hanging out. I need to cut his nails, but ver has given me a medicina to have him relax so he got too nervous last time. He will be patient with his baths.

Story
Coco is a 10-year-old, 69-pound senior lady who loves to lounge. She is one of our coveted adoption front desk dogs because she holds her bladder until taken out, has wonderful manners, and loves soaking up the attention she gets from staff, volunteers, and guests. She enjoys casual strolls, tasty treats and carry a tennis ball around. She asks for pets, enjoys sight seeing and is happy lounging around on a nice comfy bed.Coco`s adoption fee has been sponsored by a loving fan!Coco has gone to Off- Site events and volunteers have said, `She’s just a chill old gal who I enjoyed every minute with.` She does `Amazing!` in the car and `She sat like an angel and gazed out the window.` and She `Walks on leash perfectly, takes treats gently, lays down when asked too and was very calm and chill with every single person in the public who interacted with her today.`I don`t have a history of living with other dogs, so I may need a slow introduction. I have interacted with other dogs at events and here at the shelter, I did well with dogs of a similar energy level.I don`t have a history of living with cats, so I may need a slow introduction.I don`t have a history of living with children, but I have done well with children at the shelter and at events. If you are interested in this specific animal, please come to the shelter for walk-in adoptions Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30am to 5:30pm. We recommend coming in as early as possible, as adoptions are first-come, first-served.

Story
Looking to add some more love and fun in your life? Meet Amber, a practically perfect pup… well almost… honestly! Amber is smart, sweet, playful, funny, and affectionate. She loves people, snuggles, and hanging out, although we have not seen her with younger children, only adults. Mostly an indoor dog, she does great in the home. She is around two years old and 40 pounds. She is crate trained, potty trained, knows all her basic commands, and is responsive to training. She is good on walks but can be a little reactive to some dogs. The almost part? She is not good at sharing her space with another dog. She will make the right home a wonderful companion and family member; she just needs to be the only dog in the home. Please reach out if you are interested in hearing more about Amber and would like to meet her. We are in Davis CA, but I am willing to drive a reasonable distance for a good home.

To apply or see more of Honey, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/4/22/honey-b WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FOSTER, FOSTER TO ADOPT OR ADOPTER ASAP! PLEASE complete our foster or adoption form to get started! Already have an app on file? Email info@heartsforpawsrescue.com Hey there, it's Honey B, a sweet senior girl with a heart full of love! I'm currently kicking back in Davis, soaking up the good vibes after being rescued from the Stanislaus shelter in Modesto. Let me paint you a picture of my perfect day—I'm a snuggly couch potato, living my best life during the day. But watch out — I’ll get my zoomies in before bedtime and be sure to make you chuckle. My hobbies include playing with my toys, being the little spoon during snuggle sessions, soaking up belly rubs, and catching some rays while napping in the sunlight. Outdoorsy? That's me! I'm a fantastic walking and jogging companion, matching your pace with ease. Now, let's talk about my cheese-powered progress. I get a bit excited when spotting other dogs during walks, but thanks to some cheesy motivation, I'm making great strides. What kind of cheese you may ask? I don’t discriminate! I am housetrained and trustworthy when left alone! While rapidly de-stuffing toys is a talent of mine, fear not, I leave the human things alone … BORINGGGG! Meeting new people? I can be a tad shy at first, but give me a little time, and my cute personality shines through. I've even mastered the art of shaking paws! I've lived harmoniously with another dog in my previous foster home, but I'm a bit selective, preferring slow intros and other laid-back doggy pals. Now, here's the thing—I've got a bit too much curiosity when it comes to cats, so a cat-free zone is best. Ready for a snuggly, playful companion who knows how to charm with a paw shake? That's me—Honey B, ready to add sweetness to your life. Let's make some memories together in a home filled with love and laughter! 🐾 Honey B's adoption donation is SPONSORED! Includes spay/addendum; rabies, dhpp, bordatella, microchip, and up to date on monthly preventatives. Honey is being fostered in GRASS VALLEY, CA ESTIMATED DOB: 10/1/2015 Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more!
