Story
Cattle Dog Alert Mae, and her brother West, are two peas in a very herdy pod — and they’re ready for their forever homes! They are not bonded and can go to separate homes.  At 7 months old, these two are full of opinions, energy, and a deeply held belief that everyone around them needs to be somewhere else RIGHT NOW. Cattle Dogs thrive with a job to do, and Mae and West are no exception. Hiking? They’re in. Actual cattle herding? Even better. Standing in the kitchen while you make coffee? Congratulations, you’ve been assessed, judged, and quietly moved two feet to the left. We recommend a home that knows and loves the working breed life — and kids 12 and older, because little ones tend to get very efficiently herded into corners. If you’ve got the active lifestyle and the sense of humor to match, Mae and West might just be your perfect ranch hands. Mae is super affectionate and loves to cuddle. She's playful and bouncy, and spends most of her days playing with her doggie friends, playing fetch, or voluntarily hanging out in her crate when she wants to nap.  Professional photos by Gretchen Otero - https://www.gretchenotero.com/ ##2643844##

Cattle Dog Alert West and his sister Mae are two peas in a very herdy pod — and they’re ready for their forever homes! He loves to spend his days playing with his doggie friends or playing fetch. He does a really great job "alerting" when someone or something is nearby, and is super observant of his surroundings. He would make an amazing loyal companion, and is a super quick learner!  Professional photos by Gretchen Otero - https://www.gretchenotero.com/ ##2643846##

Story
Meet Summer, an adorable 4 year-old cattle dog/lab mix weighing 32 pounds. Summer is the ideal ranch/farm dog or outdoor companion for someone who gardens throughout the day. This girl loves to work and train -- she would make a great agility/working dog. She loves to be outdoors and has energy to be at your assistance all day :). She's a bundle of fun and gets along great with other dogs. Summer is a social butterfly, always eager to play, and she's really good at making friends with all kinds of dogs. Even with bossy dogs, she's super polite, and she never gets into fights with dogs who act tough. Summer absolutely loves splashing around in the water and will happily jump in for a swim just for fun. She's also a big fan of treats, so she's a quick learner when it comes to training. If you're into agility or other doggy sports, Summer could be a great partner. With her human family, Summer is a big lovebug, but it might take her a little time to get used to new people. All she needs is a bit of patience and affection, and she'll be your best buddy. Whether you're into outdoor adventures, dog sports, or you just want a great friend for your active dog, Summer is your girl. Plus, she really, really loves water! If you're interested in making sweet Summer a part of your family, please reach out to us. Story
Meet Leon 💙 Currently in foster in San Diego CA!This incredibly sweet soul was found blind and alone in the bushes of a remote area in Mexico — likely dumped and left behind. 💔 A visit to the eye clinic revealed that his blindness was caused by trauma to both eyes. But despite what he's endured, Leon is nothing short of remarkable. He’s gentle, affectionate, and full of joy. He loves to play, gnaw on a good bone, and snuggle up on the couch at night. Leon gets along beautifully with other dogs, shows no reactivity, and absolutely thrives on love and cuddles. He’s even learning verbal commands like a pro!Leon may be blind, but he’s incredibly adaptable. He uses a doggy door with ease, lives peacefully with cats, and fits right in with a calm, loving pack. He’s currently thriving in a foster home in San Diego and is ready to find his forever family — one that will cherish him for the loving, resilient pup he is. 🐾Leon has completed our full medical protocol, including:• Full vaccinations• Deworming• Microchip with lifetime registration• Neuter surgery• Bloodwork (CBC, chemistry panel, 4DX test)• Flea/tick/heartworm prevention (NexGard Spectra)Apply to adopt: https://wetnosesrescue.org/
