**COURTESY POST** Meet August, or **Augie** for short! This sweet boy was found after being shot with a BB gun, but that didn’t stop him from being loving and happy. He’s great with other dogs, kids, and even cats. He was originally named Billy at the shelter, but he was renamed Augie because of a unique marking on his back that looks like the number eight! He was relisted to be euthanized the same day he was rescued and fostered. Now, he’s getting a second chance at life! Augie is a 3-month-old Red Heeler mix, and when fully grown, he should weigh around 50 pounds. He’s a true gentleman and will make a beautiful addition to any family. He’s a very smart puppy—he already knows how to sit, give his paws, and follow commands. He’s also potty trained and prefers to go in the same spot each time. His memory is excellent! He’s super playful, loves his toys, and even enjoys playing with ice cubes. While he’s great with little kids, he would especially thrive in a family with teenage kids because of his active and playful nature. He works well with other dogs and cats, making him the perfect companion for a multi-pet household. He’s still just a puppy and can be a little nervous when going through doors, but with some socialization and patience, he’s sure to grow out of it. Bishop is a happy go lucky dog that loves to be around people. He is well trained, knows his commands and is very eager to please as most working dog breeds are. He has a lot of energy and is a fetch machine who will drop the ball at your feet as long as you will throw it. He does well at dog parks and beaches but does not like it when young energic dogs come too close to his face. We are adopting him out as our new baby is allergic and we can no longer keep him inside the house with us. He will do well in a home with someone who likes to spend time and be active with him. We will miss him dearly.

Hello, I am Dustin. I was saved from a rescue that got shut down in Mexico after people found out about the inhumane conditions us dogs were being kept in. I can be a little shy when meeting new people but after a sniff, I open right up. Dustin is a little over a 1 year old and very friendly with other dogs! He can be a bit vocal when he plays with other dogs but he plays nice. He has a little bit of an alpha personality over other dogs, but he is not aggressive. He is definitely a cattle dog mix and preferably looking for a home that has a yard. Dustin is high energy and looking for an active household that is going to keep him stimulated. He likes going on hikes, vacations, walks, and runs!
