I've had 540 as a single puppy since his siblings were adopted on Tuesday. We've been crate training since Tuesday night and he's doing great. His crate is next to my bed and he has been sleeping through the night without needing to potty until the morning. Potty training is also going well and he has not had any accidents in my home. He loves my 3 dogs and would be happy to have another dog in the house to show him the ropes but I think he'd also be fine as the only dog as long as he has people around most of the day. He is fairly independent and can entertain himself with a toy on his own, however, he doesn't like to be left alone. He will cry and throw a fit if I put him in the pen and leave the room. He does eventually settle down but he's very vocal about his dislike of alone time. As long as he can see me, he is fine with the pen. He will do best in a home with people that work from home or have the ability to take him along on outings. We have been practicing with a harness and leash in the yard and he's doing well. He loves to follow me around but he does that cattle dog herding thing where he bumps my legs and sometimes gives me a gentle nip. He has not been aggressive or bitey with my fingers, he's just showing some typical herding traits. He's a very lovey guy who is happy to be cradled like a baby and fall asleep in your lap. He's mellow, sweet, and damn near perfect! Original: Puppy #540, Umbro, is the life of the party! He has such a fun , energetic, and sweet demeanor to him that will make you smile and bring you absolute joy! He is really cute with his white fur brushed with the cattle dog markings. I really like his ears that have enough pop to give some personality! Talking about personality....this guy has it! He is just happy and will do zoomies in the excitement of play! He thrives on playing with his littermates with a pounce, tumble, and good toy tug of war. Umbro is super friendly with people, kids, and dogs. He tries to hide in cushions and does like shoestrings! He seeks that human bond though and will stay fairly close and responsive. He is always ready for a great tummy rub and those kisses! He is full of tail wags and happy greetings! He is at the beginning of potty training. He likes to take the puppy pads and make a chase game out of it! I think he will learn fast when taking outside consistently so he can learn the ropes! He is a hardy eater but isn't one to clean his bowl. He is quiet at night and has been sleeping in a puppy pen with his brother. I love the love this puppy has to give! He always so happy and ready to live his best life and is all in! He is spunky and playful but so sweet and a companion to his humans! This puppy has it all and will melt your heart!
