Story
Cali is 6 years old and she is a really great dog! She loves walks and likes to go out on hikes. She likes to cuddle. She has a good amount of energy. She also really likes her naps too. She very rarely barks. She loves to play tug of war and likes to run around. She is really easy to train. I have thought her several new tricks since I adopted her. She doesn’t really have any bad habits. She isn’t destructive when I’m not home. She doesn’t counter surf and she doesn’t dig through my trash. Overall she is a very good dog She should not be in a home with another dog. Unless she is introduced properly by a trainer. I do not think she would do well with young kids. The ideal home for her would be one where someone is able to take her on morning and nightly walks and has the time to give her the attention she needs.

Story
Meet Anubis, a handsome boy with the cutest little snaggletooth! He loves a good game of tug-of-war, a round of fetch, and then-get ready-the zoomies! Anubis is a curious observer- he loves gazing out the window and keeping tabs on all the neighborhood happenings. He's also crate savvy and in his previous home had access to go in and out of this safe space as he pleased. Anubis objects to sharing food and toys with people and other animals so will only be adopted to a family without children or with kids at least 10 years of age. Anubis would thrive with an active adopter who can match his playful energy and provide him with structure, love, and a spot by the window - could this be you? Primary Color: Tri Color Secondary Color: Brindle Weight: 46.4 Age: 3yrs 10mths 0wks

Story
Meet Pepper  Pepper is an approximately 2-year-old, 37 pound cattle dog mix with the perfect blend of energy and melt-into-you affection. Pepper’s journey hasn’t been the easiest, so she needs some time to truly trust new people. During that time, she prefers to tuck herself under the bed or coffee table — her safe little hideaways where she can quietly get used to your presence. But once she decides you’re her person? Oh, she loves with her whole heart. When Pepper bonds, she bonds completely. She comes when called, seeks out cuddles, and will happily curl up on the bed to sleep close to you. She craves touch, gentle reassurance, and connection — and she gives it all right back. Despite her initial shyness, Pepper is wonderfully well-mannered in the home. She hasn’t been kenneled once in while she’s been in foster care and has never destroyed a single thing. She’s smart, respectful, and eager to understand what’s expected of her. This congenial girl lives with 4 other dogs of varying sizes and loves them all! Pepper enjoys playing and is pretty energetic in her play-style. She listens well when she is asked to settle down a bit too.  Leash life is still a little scary for her, but with patience, encouragement, and consistency, she will absolutely get there — especially because this girl is very intelligent and wants to please. Another friendly, confident dog in the home will help her continue to learn and feel safe. Pepper is looking for: A patient foster or adopter Someone who understands shy or sensitive dogs A home with another welcoming dog to show her the ropes A family who will give her the time she needs to trust — and then enjoy the loyal, adoring companion she becomes If you’re the kind of person who finds joy in watching a shy dog blossom — who wants to be someone’s safe place and receive unconditional love in return — Pepper just might be your heart dog. If you give Pepper the time she needs, she’ll give you everything. If you would like to adopt/foster please apply at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $250 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   ##2594816##

Story
Meet Waldo — our one-of-a-kind survivor  Waldo is a handsome 1-year-old Pitt-Heeler mix with a heart of gold and a story of strength. This gentle soul has been through more than most — he’s a distemper survivor, which left him with some neurological quirks and a little extra wobble (dance prance) in his step. But what really sets him apart isn’t what he’s been through… it’s how much love he still has to give.  Once a likely feral dog, Waldo’s world has been scary and unpredictable — but he’s learning what it means to feel safe, one day and one treat at a time. He’s still shy with strangers, but with his foster, he’s a total goofball: jogging everywhere he goes, prancing through the house, and proudly hogging every blanket and fuzzy pillow he can find.  Waldo is looking for a very special person — maybe that’s you? He needs a calm, patient, and loving home where safety and routine come first. Someone who:  Feels rewarded by earning trust, not instant affection  Can provide a secure yard and careful handling (he will bolt if scared — he earned his name that way!)  Understands that treats = love in Waldo’s world  Enjoys cozy nights in and slow progress that leads to a lifetime bond Waldo enjoys other dogs and could thrive with a confident canine buddy. Cats? Waldo LOVES cats, even if they don't always understand him. He may never be the dog who greets every stranger or walks perfectly at heel, but he’ll be your dog — loyal, silly, tender, and true. The kind of love that feels hard-won and absolutely worth it.  Waldo is looking for his Forever, or a new or even a part-time foster so we can get him used to, and more confident with, more people. If you can offer patience, safety, and a whole lot of heart, Waldo is waiting for you. Learn more or apply to meet him at EAPL.com.  His adoption fee is $375 November 28, 2025, 10:51 am

Story
My day in the life with Stix on 5/3/25, I was his photographer...  Stix is intelligent, he is ready for adventure and enjoys walks and treats. Going for rides to a new park. Enjoys his own space. Other dogs aren’t always his cup of tea. Prefers being the one and only.  He is loyal to his people. He thrives best with all the attention(single dog home). Stix learned a new recall just from the hour  walk we took with the trainer on the long leash. He is in need of mental stimulation along with physical stimulation. Stix has a mixture of breeds gives him beautiful colors in his fur and his eyes are light and dreamy. He would be a perfect match for an active person. A previous dog owner may offer the awareness and the importance routine offers to an intelligent dog. Someone who enjoys an attachment to a doggy friend that loves to chase a ball  and use his athletic ability. He requires an investment that will allow him to build trust with consistency. To allow the bond and safety he seeks in his person.   Ideally, a home that has had experience with loving a dog needing someone willing to develop a relationship and build trust.  To meet Stix, put in an application at  www.eapl.com .   His  Sponsored Adoption Fee is $75 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F03ALyDS-_E https://www.youtube.com/shorts/9_GcmmRUQiw Stix is (est. birthday is 1/18/2020) a total catch. He is smart, food motivated and has been through basic training. He knows how to sit, lay down, stay, shake, rollover and has the cutest, most majestic wolf howl. He LOVES to play fetch, hike and go running. He is crate-trained and house-trained and loves puzzle toys and bones and any games you might teach him. He would do best as a solo dog and no cats and older kiddos. He would make a great companion for an active household.    November 28, 2025, 10:51 am

Story
We got Wrangler as an 8-week-old Australian Shepherd puppy from a local farm. He is now 8 years old. He is a very sweet, affectionate dog who loves being around people he trusts and enjoys giving kisses. He is gentle with kids, very food-motivated, and wants to be close to his family. Wrangler has developed anxiety over the years, and our current environment triggers him daily. Triggers involve hearing unfamiliar people talking nearby or other dogs barking close by. Despite years of training, veterinary help, and environmental changes, things have progressively worsened. Rehoming is a very sad decision for us, but our hope is to give him a calmer place to live where he can relax and feel secure. We’re looking for a quiet, low-stress home with fewer daily triggers — ideally a peaceful rural or semi-rural environment, or a quieter neighborhood with space. He does well with other dogs in the house, but prefers being close to his humans.
