Story
Naya is a guessed 4-year-old cattle dog mix with a stunning white, black, and merle coat, soft tan markings, and the kind of soulful eyes that make you stop and really look. She doesn’t ask for attention — she searches for connection. When Naya was rescued, she weighed just 30 pounds, having been confined and starved in a horrific situation. Today, she weighs 53 pounds and is safe, cared for, and learning that the world — and humans — are wonderful. Despite everything she survived, Naya is gentle, affectionate, intelligent, and deeply loyal. She bonds closely with her people and finds comfort simply being near them — curled on the couch, pressed against your side, or waiting patiently for you to return if you step away. She is fully potty trained, holds it all night, and thrives on routine. Naya is low to moderate energy, but loves to play with other friendly dogs. Naya has done well in her foster home with older, respectful children and is friendly with dogs. She plays politely, respects boundaries, and has especially thrived alongside a calm, confident canine companion. She is very smart and eager to please, knowing several cues and learning quickly with positive reinforcement. Naya is not broken — she is becoming. She would love a patient, loving home that understands healing and rewards commitment with unwavering devotion. Visit our website at www.pawsitiverestorations.com to learn SO MUCH MORE about Naya, watch her videos, and apply to adopt this super snuggly sweetheart today! 💜

Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Little Boy pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Little Boy | 5-year-old Lab/Cattle Dog Mix | A loyal shadow who just wants to be loved Little Boy is a 5-year-old Lab/Cattle Dog mix with a white-and-black coat and a gentle, affectionate nature. Weighing about 19 pounds, he’s a sweet, playful boy who thrives on companionship and wants nothing more than to be close to his people. He is somewhat house trained and currently wears a belly band due to marking, which is expected to improve after his upcoming neuter. He lets you know when he needs to go outside by standing at the door and has had no issues with solid potty accidents. Little Boy does well being left home alone for 4–6 hours when he has another dog for company and has proven to be a perfect angel in those situations. He isn’t currently crate trained, but a crate will be introduced as part of his routine following neuter. He has positive interactions with other dogs and especially enjoys having a canine companion to play and bond with, though he does struggle with impulse control and leash reactivity when seeing other dogs, people, or wheeled objects while on walks. On his own he does fairly well, but walks can become more challenging when another dog is added to the mix. His energy level is medium—he’s content with a couple of short walks or play sessions each day and is happy to settle down and relax afterward. He’s not much of a hiker, but he does enjoy checking out the neighborhood and loves car rides. He’s motivated by food, affection, and being near his people, and while he’s still working on learning commands, he responds to his name and continues to make progress with structure and boundaries. Little Boy is incredibly affectionate and shows his love by resting his head on you, rolling over for belly rubs, and sticking close by whenever possible. He hasn’t met cats or children yet, but he has shown no aggressive behavior toward anyone he’s encountered. He sheds an average amount and has no strong toy preferences—he’s far more interested in love and companionship. Rescued from North Carolina after months of surviving as a stray, Little Boy has a heartbreaking past but an incredibly hopeful spirit. Despite being overlooked time and time again, he remains gentle, joyful, and eager to love. His ideal home would include another friendly dog and people who understand that he’s still settling in and learning. Little Boy has spent long enough being unwanted—now he’s ready for a home where he can finally belong.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! He can be overly aggressive when playing with other dogs and barks in their faces. He loves chasing balls, sticks, rocks or really anything you'll throw. He goes crazy for the water hose. He has a big attitude, thinking he's the baddest and usually is pretty top dog. Story
We adopted Jack when he was 3 months old. He is now 6 years old. He is full of energy and very vocal. He has been raised around kids but we recently had another baby and we feel that he deserves to have more attention and mental stimulation than we can give him. He loves a good chest and tummy rub and loves running and playing. He can be a bit wild around younger children.
