Story
Meet Gunner Gunner is a cattle dog mix puppy (about 30 lbs) with the sweetest heart and the softest soul. He’s a gentle, thoughtful boy who’s still building confidence, especially when meeting new people—but once he realizes you’re safe, he’s all in for cuddles, pets, and quiet companionship. Gunner would thrive in a home with another friendly dog to help show him the ropes. He takes comfort in canine companionship and learns quickly by following their lead—whether it’s exploring new spaces, improving his leash skills, or settling in at home. He may hide at first, but give him a moment (and maybe a good bone!), and his curiosity and bravery shine through. He is working on crate training and can be a little wiggly or vocal while settling, but once he winds down, he sleeps soundly through the night. Gunner is fully potty trained—he understands how to use a dog door, and in homes without one, he clearly lets you know when he needs to go out by staring at or gently pawing at the door. He’s been accident-free and takes his bathroom routine seriously like the good boy he is. Leash walking is still a work in progress, but he’s improving every day. Gunner has a calm, observant nature and doesn’t chase cats or rabbits, preferring to watch quietly instead. He’s shown polite curiosity rather than prey drive. Car rides are still new, but he’s already learning how to relax and lay down once he settles. Gunner is a loving, sensitive puppy who will blossom with patience, kindness, and another dog friend by his side. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will reward your love with endless affection and quiet devotion (after a brief burst of puppy energy), Gunner may be your perfect match. ##2632299##

Story
Meet Macks, a 5-year-old Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix with a heart full of potential and a loving spirit. Macks was surrendered to a high-kill shelter after her previous owner passed away, and she’s now looking for a new family to give her the love and stability she deserves. Initially anxious and a bit flighty, Macks requires some time to build trust. However, once she feels secure, she becomes an incredibly affectionate and well-behaved companion. Macks is not fond of other dogs or cats, so she would do best in a home where she can be the only pet. She will thrive in a household with middle school-aged children or older, or with adults who can provide her with the patience and care she needs to feel at ease. If you're looking for a loyal and loving dog who will become deeply attached to her new family, Macks is ready to bring her devotion and warmth into your home.

Story
This beauty is Lexi! She is an approximately 1-year-old, 36-pound stunner with the kind of looks that garner compliments from strangers and passersby. Her gorgeous tri-colored coat and striking blue eyes hint at some Australian Shepherd in her mix — but Lexi is even better than a purebred. She’s a rez dog, made up of many breeds, which often means healthier, sturdier, and wonderfully well-balanced genetics.  Lexi came to us from the Navajo Nation, where she lived alongside many different dogs. She is friendly and social with other dogs and understands how to coexist peacefully in a pack. Because her world has been a bit limited so far, Lexi can be shy in new situations, but don’t mistake that for a lack of love. She has been well cared for and shows it through her sweet, gentle, and devoted nature. Once she feels safe, her affection quietly shines through. She’ll benefit from a patient, encouraging home willing to help her: Build confidence in new environments Continue learning and refining her leash skills ‍ Discover all the good things life has to offer Lexi is the kind of dog who bonds deeply with her people and blossoms with kindness and consistency. Story
Jameson was adopted from Denver Animal Shelter when he was about 2 months old. He has been with me 10 months. He has a lot of energy, and I don't think we are a good fit. He needs a lot of attention and play space. He is crate trained and he likes to just lay in it to relax. Recently I've been leaving him out of the crate while I'm gone and he has done pretty well. Jameson needs a person who can get him out of the house more. He uses a gentle leader for walks and pulls a little. He generally loves meeting new people - he loves going to the brewery. He knows people around the neighborhood who he likes to say hi to for treats. He's a lover and likes to snuggle on the couch. He really just needs a bit more attention than I can give.
