Age: 14 Months Good with dogs? Yes Good with cats? Unknown Good with kids? Yes Weight: 31lbs Adoption Fee: $320.00 Any other info: Meet Galaxy! Some dogs shine a little brighter than the rest, and Galaxy is one of those special souls. This gorgeous 14 month old Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix weighs 31 pounds and is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. With her stunning brindle coat, soulful eyes, and affectionate personality, Galaxy has a way of pulling everyone into her orbit. Galaxy is incredibly friendly and loves being around people. More than anything, she dreams of having a family of her own to love and cherish. She's the happiest when she's surrounded by her people soaking up affection and returning it tenfold. As a young herding mix, Galaxy is FULL of energy and enthusiasm for life. She's smart, eager to learn, and would thrive with an active family who can keep both her mind and body engaged. Whether it's adventures, training, hiking, or learning fun new tricks, this clever girl is ready for it all. Galaxy is basically still a pup only 14 months old. She is spayed, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and kept on prevention here with us. Galaxy has been vocal when seeing other dogs, but she has not shown signs of aggression. We haven't had the opportunity to fully evaluate her with other dogs yet, so we're still learning more about her preferences and personality. What we do know is that behind those sweet eyes is a loving heart just waiting for a place to belong. Galaxy has so much love to give and is ready to become someone's loyal companion, adventure buddy, and best friend. Could your family be the one she's been wishing for? Don't make this amazing girl wait another day, apply through the link below today. https://serenityanimalhospital.net/dog-adoption-application/ Once your application is processed and approved, our adoptions team will reach out to schedule an in person meet and greet with the Galaxy. ------------------------------------------------ Our adoption fees includes the pets spay or neuter surgery, microchip, age appropriate vaccines, heartworm + flea + tick disease testing, fecal check, and any medical care needed while staying with us. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Her foster mom shares: Dee was very scared at first, but within days her silly, sweet personality came out. She’s loving, active, fully house trained (no accidents), and crate trained. She plays great with other playful dogs and walks beautifully on a leash. She's right around 35 lbs. She will continue to gain confidence as she is introduced to new situations. She is full on cattle dog in the energy department and will need a family able to meet her exercise needs, both physical and mental. She needs a fenced yard. She’s respectful of older cats but may chase younger ones, so a cat-free home might be best. Dee had hip surgery in February but has healed and it's not slowing her down. She's currently walking 2+ miles per day and has tried trail running and hiking and did great. And yes—she’s just as sweet cute as her pictures. She wins everyone over as soon as she meets them!

Story
Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/TAP/2450-michigan-adoption Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications. The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport. Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!

Story
Bartholomew came to me as a "had to have Christmas pup" that lasted 10days at best. He was only 4 weeks when he was taken from his mom. It has been a long road for him, from learning his real breed to learning to be a dog. But he is now ready for his forever home.
