Story
Meet Roxanne! This sweet cattle dog mix is such a cuddle bug! At just four months old, she is already keeping her indoor area clean and goes outside to potty. Roxanne does well with other dogs and cats and loves attention. At this time, she is not a fan of being crated but does well outside of her crate. Roxanne’s current foster says she is absolutely precious and she could just hold her all day long. If this sounds like the pup for you, please complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Once the application is approved, a FaceTime will be set up for a virtual meet and greet. Since we are located in Mobile, AL, this will give you the opportunity to see the pet interact with other dogs, people, and see a bit of their personality. Transports leave every week alternating between the NE and the Great Lakes. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. Story
Ever wonder if it is even possible for show stopping beauty, an amazing brain, AND a five-star winning personality to come in the same package?! Lucky for you — they do for this sweet girl! Juniper is a treasure of a dog, waiting for her forever home. Just look at those beautiful, bright amber eyes and freckled nose. Juniper is a gorgeous girl and a perfect medium size. She always upbeat and carries a smile on her face. Besides her looks, Juniper is also a very smart, trainable girl. The sky is the limit for her. She’s eager to learn. She’s also pretty athletic so she would be a great running companion. Or maybe you’ve always wanted to try dog sports like agility. Juniper would be perfect! And best of all, Juniper has a very sweet disposition with every person she meets. She craves attention from her people and will be a loyal companion for years to come! She would be perfectly content being an only dog or possibly one other canine companion that suits her fancy. She's doggy selective, and would need a little time to warm up to a new BFF once they know she's in charge of the playtime antics. Juniper is a year or two old, 40-45 lb.

Story
--FOSTER PUPDATE--Pollicis A17747963 lb. spayed female, approx 2 years old -I'm a moderate to higher energy dog who loves to connect to my “cattle dog” roots. I can do amazing zoomies, chase balls and enjoy practicing my “herding” skills.-That said, I am wonderful at self-entertainment! I will find a bone and a comfy spot and chill while I practice good dental hygiene! -I live with 2 foster dog siblings and am doing so good with those canine relationships and dynamics. (Slow, proper introductions are always a MUST!)-Once I’ve taken care of my zoomies, I love to curl up to nap whenever my foster mom and foster fur siblings are hanging out. -I’m fully house trained and crate trained, although I only go into my crate at night to sleep.-I am so loyal and love to be around people once I’ve warmed up to them. I naturally seem to prefer women, however with time and patience I’ve warmed up to the males in my foster home. -I’m pretty good on a leash, very little pulling and am working on walking in a straight direction.-I love taking stuffy toys outside and I just love being outside, sunbathing and exploring the fenced yard. -I already have good manners - I sit for treats and food. I am so gentle taking anything from your hand. -I also live with a teenage boy and while it took me a few days to acclimate to him, he is now one of my favorite humans and I LOVE when he plays with me. -I’m not a super vocal dog. I find my bark from time to time but overall, I’m a pretty quiet gal. -I love to be where the action is - I just want to be part of the pack! -Overall, I’m a very sweet, silly soul who is so loyal and will bring a fun energy and lots of love to the lucky person or family who decides to adopt me!This pet is in a foster home! If you are interested in meeting Pollicis, please email foster@friendsofdacc.org with subject line “Pollicis A177479”Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adoptThere is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, and $40 for cats payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption.

Story
💙 Meet Fanci 💙 10-year-old Blue Heeler mix with the heart of a caretaker and the soul of a gentle old lady. Fanci has spent her life loving deeply. She adores puppies and babies in their smallest stages, watching over them sweetly, but as they grow, she prefers her space and a calmer environment. In her golden years, she would do best in a quiet home without other animals or young children. She loves leisurely walks, cozy cuddles, and unlimited butt scratches. She’s a devoted companion and an excellent little guard dog, especially when protecting her humans from the Great DOT (light reflection) invasion. This decision is absolutely heartbreaking for us. Our home has become too busy, loud, and dynamic for Fanci’s aging, sensitive temperament. As painful as it is, she deserves a peaceful place to live out her final years, surrounded by patience, stability, and love. If you have a calm home and a soft spot for senior dogs, Fanci may be the loyal companion you’ve been waiting for. 💙

Story
My name is Fancy . I am estimated to be 2 years old. I am a very sweet girl, but I have a very quirky personality. I am very good in the house ; I am crate trained and have used a doggie door. I love jumping right in the car and going for rides ! I walk on a leash every day currently. When I first meet people, I am very cautious, and act scared. I defiantly bond very fast to women. Young kids scare me, and I tend to go hide in my safe place , my crate. Once I feel comfy around you , I act just like every other dog. I love to give kisses , play with my toys and go for walks on the leash. I love fresh carrots for a treat or a big rawhide to chew on. I have lived with several dogs before and enjoy their company. All my vet work is done, and I am microchipped. My adoption fee covers transport from Tennessee. I can be a very good loyal companion in the right setting. I don’t necessarily need a fenced in yard if you walk me on a leash every day.

Story
Crump is the brother of Pacee (a female version of Crump). He is the typical little male puppy. He loves to be a little heathen, and he loves sleeping on your head. He lives with 13 other foster puppies of varying sizes and ages and has nine adult foster dog parents. He does great with his learning but in such a busy foster home his parental support isn't what it should be. Think "Lord of the Flies" mode. The surrounding chaos is kept to a minimum, but he needs individual support. Crump is such a little lover and compassionate little dude. Playing is his main objective and his puppy power is his strength.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Crump's adoption fee is $275. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. If transport is needed, there are additional fees to cover department of agriculture requirements and transport, the additional fee adds $300 to the adoption fee (any location out of Tennessee, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions)Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!To Apply Please Copy and Paste to your browser:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hb2428&method=online_form_html&formid=41LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application completely. Every question must be answered, and it must be signed.-Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 100-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.-You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.-Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.
